Sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal. 100% natural, room temperature, environmentally friendly, can be removed with water, hair can be shorter than traditional waxing, often less painful than waxing, no burning, won’t ruin your clothes, exfoliates but won’t tear your skin, can remove hair in the creases and crevices that wax cannot.

History

Established in 2011.

Sugar Plum has three locations one in Downtown Seattle, Downtown Kirkland, and the Wallingford neighborhood of North Seattle. Our mission was simple: To let sugaring be available to the public at a reasonable price. With this, we decided to offer online booking and a call in receptionist rather then have a front desk at each location, keeping our overhead low and pass the savings on to our clients. I saw Nicole for a full Brazilian and lower arm sugaring and it was amazing. She is super sweet and talked me through the entire thing. After having a bad waxing experience and never trying another Brazilian since I will gladly say I will be back regularly to have Nicole do my sugaring!

Ive been going to Sugar Plum Spa for over 4 years! Every location is as wonderful, friendly, and inviting as its original in North Seattle.
At the Kirkland location, I usually see Nicole. She is amazing! She goes through the appointment quick and easy! She is friendly and well versed in skin care.
I’ve gone to Logan twice now and she is also awesome! She is funny and personable! Like Nicole, Logan will make the appointment quick and painless.
I know many people are hesitant to try new esthiticians; however, Sugar Plum only hires the best. So if your favorite esthetician is booked, give the other ones a try! All of the estheticians are great!

The moment you walk into Sugar Plum you are greeted by warmth and kindess of the staff. As a plus size woman I felt welcomed & cherished at Sugar Plum. Heather has a way about her that puts your mind at ease while she works her sugar magic. After being sugared at Sugar Plum, I will never wax again! Sugaring is the way to go! Love this place! Mackenzie is the best, the only one I will go to! I have fibromyalgia and skin issues so I absolutely cannot shave or use chemicals due to sensitivities, but sugaring at Sugar Plum is perfect! I love that they are environmentally friendly, too! This business is a fantastic addition to the beautiful location in downtown Kirkland

Will definitely be coming back! I scheduled a bikini line service. Kassandra was amazing, super professional, and fast. The salon was clean, and although it wasn’t pain free –though I hear less painful than waxing, she put my mind at ease, and I’m grateful to have found my sugaring spot!

I did request the free sugaring when I booked with Joy at your office. This is what Joy set up. All of you could care less about all the overhead to get there and all the arranging of schedules to make the appts work. And, I never demanded free sugaring from Kassandra after Joy’s mistake came to light. I did state that I would post a review of this experience on Unilocal,and I did not condition my statement on «free sugaring.»
It would have been nice to get an apology, or some concern of how Joy misled me or some personal follow up by YOU! None of this happened.
Also, all the threatening was done by Kassandra — she threatened to leave and lock me in the room because she did not want to hear what a disappointment the whole experience has been.

It was my first visit to Sugar Plum Spa. I found the place easy. parking was so close and easy to find. After I get to my appointment, was surprised with a very private room and was greeted with a smile from Nicole. She explained the process and the waver form information I needed to sign. She answered all of my questions and chat with me so I can feel comfortable. she worked her magic and at the end explain to me about next visit and discounts I can get. I for sure can recommend this place for all of you that need some sugar in their day. That is the place to go.

Nicole is wonderful. She talks just enough to make this uncomfortable situation as pleasant as possible. She is quick and efficient. Sugaring is a million times better than waxing in my book. I have super sensitive skin and it reacts MUCH better to sugaring than waxing. If you’ve never tried it, try it. And try it here, with Nicole!

Completely satisfied! I was afraid to have another horrible experience (from another place) but I was surely overdue for a clean slate. Booking online was quick and easy :)
The Kirkland location is located in the Mosaic building, where rooms are rented for individual stylists/​aestheticians. It’s very nice. When you walk through the door, you can look to see where the room is and if the door is closed, go back to the front and press the button to let them know you’re there. Nicole came out to pick me up right on time.
She was quick! Some moments of pain (but beauty is pain) but I liked how she was fast and thorough.
First timers is $ 42 for a Brazilian, and if your next wax is scheduled 6 weeks before your last, the cost will remain the same. I’m pretty happy so will schedule another soon.

Had my first sugaring experience… south of the border. I was clearly expecting it to hurt like a mofo. I’m not going to lie it hurts, but it was soooooo much better than waxing! And Nicole is absolutely the best! She is fast, funny, and made the best of a nervous situation for this first timer! I’m a believer!

Nicole is fantastic. Efficient, quick, pleasant, thorough. I have some pretty dark eyebrows, and they were rather overgrown and in need of general maintenance. The sugaring process was SO MUCH BETTER ON MY SUPER SENSITIVE SKIN than wax! Then she went through and trimmed, plucked, and shaped my brows. They have never looked better.

I used to go to their Seattle location which I had an absolute great experience with so when I heard that Sugar Plum is opening up another location on the Eastside, I was pretty excited that there’s a closer location. I believe Nicole is the only one that works, but she is amazing at what she does. She is always upbeat and fun whenever I visit her for my waxing service.
The Kirkland location is conviently located in Downtown Kirkland, I always come on a weekend or off peak hour so parking has always been really easy for me because there are plenty of street parking. The Sugar Plum is kind of in a weird, but cool place. It’s a room within a building called Mosaic Salon and I want to say it’s suite 13 so don’t feel like you are lost, just keep walking back!

Now that I have been here a few more times, I think it’s time for an update! The services are still at the high standards from my visits, and even though sugaring is still not completely painless, I haven’t been to a waxing place since I came to SPS so I guess you can say I am a convert for reals.
The space is small, but it is clean and doesn’t feel sterile or awkward. It’s in the mosaic building so I guess the size of the room is to be understood.
What warrants the fifth star, however, is their awesome customer service. There have been a few times where the booking hasn’t worked properly online or I had some queries, but they’ve always been a really helpful and friendly with their quick resolution of the issue. In particular, I give props to Camilla and Nicole for being really courteous and professional. Also, Nicole is lovely and so personable our chat always puts me at ease, and distracts from the fact that she’s ripping hair out of my nether regions.
Apparently the Kirkland location no longer does men’s services.
There’s still plenty of parking in the public parking around the corner or at the library.

Apparently the clientele here has a high proportion of men but there are no reviews from guys. Don’t hide — be proud of the fact that you take care of business for your other half!
I had been sugared between my ass cheeks before but today I decided to go further and get the front end cleaned up as well. I have to say that Roq is the most professional and friendly person to have ripping hairs out of your nether regions. She totally puts your mind at rest, explains everything that she is doing and has a comforting word when things get too much — she even encourages swearing if it makes you feel better!
Does it hurt — well yes it does seeing as though you are having the hairs ripped out of sensitive skin. Apparently it is less painful than wax though and it is supposed to be a lot better for your skin. It is well worth it though as far as the baby soft hair free skin is concerned, and my boyfriend certainly gives it the thumbs up.
Thanks Roq — I will certainly be back to take care of business and make use of the VIP rates for future sessions.

Today I had my first Brazilian Sugaring experience and it was fabulous! Roq Simms was AMAZING! Aside from the finished product exceeding my expectations, she was just fabulous. Literally had me laughing the entire time. And anyone who can make you chuckle while ripping at your lady bits is surely someone worth recommending! All my nerves about it being my first time vanished and I actually enjoyed myself in her company rather than being focused on the «awkward» like I expected to be. I can’t say enough positive things about the experience!
If you’re looking for a new salon to get your business done, or have been curious yet scared or skeptical I highly highly recommend Roq Simms!
