Leahi Health Kailua

I absolutely love this place!!! The salads are beautifully colored and so delicious I especially loved the wana’ao cold brew smoothie, oh my gosh. So refreshing and delicious. Highly recommend this place!

3.5 stars. I thought what I had was fine, I can make a similar smoothie at home and it doesn’t cost me almost $ 6, or I can go to Lanikai Juice and get a smoothie and nicer service. The gal that was taking my order that day had an attitude, and that, honestly, does reflect poorly on the business. I don’t care that you are charging $ 12 for a salad, but I don’t need it with a side of snob.
The seating is pretty limited as well, so you should probably take your food to go.

No meat. Didn’t know what I was ordering, but the «favorites» icons helped! Whatever I got was delicious!!!

Absolutely love this joint! You could call me a healthy food junkie. I love coming here at least once a week, when I have time, after appointments. I typically order the same thing each time, but then again I am a creature of repetition/​comfort. I suggest you try everything they have – they do not disappoint.

This place is a true gem. I wish I had a chance to try everything on the menu. The kombucha mixes are incredible. The acai bowl top notch. The smoothies are inspired. The vibe was perfect and the spot brings a much needed chill vibe to downtown Kailua. Sigh I wish I was back there now!

This was my first time to Leahi Health. I wanted an acaì bowl for Sunday morning breakfast. Kuuipo suggested that I try Leahi Health. Whatever the wife says, I’ve learned to do.
Leahi Health is located beneath U Down on Kuulei Rd. There is metered parking on the street. It’s free on Sunday’s, but still, read the signs. There is a large window in front. The menu is displayed. The hours are posted on the door (see picture). There is also a bench in front. There are a few tables inside and covered tables on the outside ewa of the store.
I walked in and checked out the menu. There is a very large menu displayed to the right of the counter. I spotted the Ala Moana acaì bowl & waited my turn. While I was waiting, I saw another sign posted to the left of the register. It was advertising cold brew coffee. Wow! If you know Kuuipo, you know she has been off trying to find the best cold brew on island. So, me being an awesome hubby, ordered her a small and got myself the acaí bowl.
The total wait time from ordering was about 15 minutes. I think there were only 2 people working and there was another order that went in before me.
My order delivered, I hurried home to try it. Kuuipo said that her cold brew coffee was ok. My Ala Moana acaí bowl was good. The fruit was fresh and the acaí smoothie was sweet, but not overly so. The price was comparable to other shops in the area.
I’m not sure if I would come back again because of the amount of other choices there are in Kailua, but it is good if you are looking to try something new.

So far I’ve only ordered smoothies but they are great and I’m looking forward to having more off the menu! Love their kombucha!
Super friendly staff and nice seating options outside. I find it kind of ironic to be next door to McDonalds — they offset each other nicely haha. So, yes, this place is awesomely healthy in the real sense, not the «these fruits & granola are more popular so we will go overboard on them» sense. Great mix of healthy ingredients rather than a high quantity of a few things (ok, so I’m referring to the places that load on fruit and granola because they taste good but end up adding so much sugar and extra calories that it no longer is healthy.)
I love riding my bike here as parking is tricky.

Awesome spot to get a great smoothie or breakfast. Everything is super healthy, tasty and folks were really helpful. Also, great music taste.

I love the food and I come there often. They say they close at 5 pm but sometimes they close at 4:30 pm because they don’t have customers. I was very disappointed when I came at 4:40 and the cashier said they were already closed because she needed to go run her personal errands.

Healthy Tacos are a thing of my dreams. It was defiantly enticing. I checked out their vegan menu and decided on the Kale Avocado Tacos. They sounded good but wasn’t what I expected. My favorite part of the taco was the avocado. Inside there are black beans, corn and cilantro lime dressing. On the tippy top some seeds, and its all atop of warm pita. Of course there was kale, so much kale. When i thought kale avocado tacos i assumed more avocado. They were still pretty good, once half the kale spilled out. I also got the starburst juice. It was orange in color and delicious in taste. It did taste a little bit like a starburst. It’s a small cute place to grab a quick bite. If i go back during my trip ill order the tacos, half the kale please!

After a morning swim, I decided on checking the new Kailua plant based food and drink shop out. Rainbow tacos combined with Jamaican mojito smoothie and both were fabulous! Lots of color and the freshest most flavorful health food I have tasted in decades. Service was crisp. The place is clean and cute. So far today my body has been treated to… mint, carrots, avacado, hummus, balsamic, chia, coconut milk kombucha, pineapple, banana, cabbage, pita, and almonds! $ 13 and some change! They had a daily special with the King Green smoothie and any taco too for $ 11–

Yum!!! I had this place bookmarked for awhile since driving by it numerous times in Kailua town. I ordered the kale avocado tacos… and boy were they delicious! Like flavorful, fresh and layers of flavors and texture… did I mention lots of flavor? Especially for being on the healthy side, that cilantro lime dressing, sesame seed sprinkle and garlic spread was OOMPH! The girls working there were very pleasant and nice. The place was clean and cute. Thank you for giving me another tasty and healthy option when in Kailua. I can’t wait to come back to try everything else.

Its nice to see more healthy restaurants coming into Kailua! This took the place of where the Coconut Grove Music shop used to be. Its kind of a hard to get to location if youre trying to make a left turn from Kuulei road. I parked in the lot near the macdonalds. Im not sure if that parking is meant for Leahi Health but my car was fine there.
Inside is very airy and open. There’s a few spots inside and outside to sit. The menu is great. The guy making the smoothies behind the table kept giving us samplers of each drink he was making and they all tasted amazing. Their smoothies are more of a lighter texture than the dense smoothies at the other juice bars around here. The food menu is also amazing. It took me a while to pick which one I wanted. I ended up going with the surf tacos. The only thing I didntn like was the short attitude of the tall, slender caucasian brunette working at the register. i didnt look under the «Leahi Health» sign and see that it was vegetarian so when I asked her if there was fish in the tacos she gave me a cold look and with a tone said «This is a vegetarian only restaurant» New employees or better training needs to be given. She’s was given a job in customer service so she needs to check her tone and at least smile and act like she’s giving good service. The other workers were wonderful though! The food was delicious and i will be back again. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the unwelcoming answer I received.

My fiancé and I happened to randomly see this café from across the street while at the stop light, looked it up on Unilocal and saw the great reviews and immediately parked to check it out! Holy Moly were we blown away! Everything on their menu looked so good we could hardly pick what to order. After talking with one of the owners we decided on the Kale and Avocado Tacos, Surfer Bowl and the Ala Moana Bowl (hands down my favorite!) We ate everything, it was so fresh and we felt great afterwards! We can’t wait to come back here again!

If your really into tasty and healthy food for your body and soul– you have to try this place.

Their food and drinks are delicious except that time they re-​used my smoothie as a base for another drink that didn’t call for spinach… fail. The skinny caucasian shoulder length hair girl who I think is the supervisor has terrible customer service. She never has a smile on her face and her negative attitude makes it seem like she doesn’t want to be there. I frequent this place for their kale avocado tacos but I cringe every time I see her angry face at the register and I dread being spoken to with her condescending words. She needs to improve her customer service skills or the business will suffer because of her.

Tried Leahi for the first time to get my vegan on. Looked earthy and friendly and I wanted to try some thing refreshing and healthy. Of all the yummy healthy ingredients being put in the blender looked so fresh and the server had a great attitude and seemed to enjoy making my smoothie made with love.
Then while I was enjoying utopia in a cup someone who appeared to be a supervisor spoke unkindly and condescending to the person who made my magical potion thereby rendering it to mere fruit juice with a bitter aftertaste.
Kindness and love are key ingredients in any magical and delicious drink.
I will give them one more try maybe…

I’m a vegan & I usually go to down to earth in kailua but this place really surprised me! I always order surf bowl tacos they are so yummy & healthy, keeps me energized & full through out the day & the staff is wonderful & very helpful !!! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone

I am officially addicted to their smoothies and bowls. Finally a REAL healthy alternative to keep the body running. In this heat I find the smoothies so yummy. In love with the breakfast smoothie and my kids like the starburst. All the green ones are excellent too! Jack Johnson is green and delish. I will drive out of my way to go here. I was sick recently and could only manage keeping down their nutritious heathy smoothies. I will forever be a fan! The owner on two occasions gave a sample that he thought I should try. So nice!!!

Noticed this place a few times and decided to finally pop in. Wow it is yummy! We ordered the kale avocado tacos and ala moana bowl.
Tacos– so fresh and tasty. The pita was warm and everything went so well together
Ala moana bowl– one of the better acai bowls I’ve had plus it was huge.
Prices are a little high but you get a lot of fresh food for the money.

Getting on an airplane tonight and need to make sure my body is ready! King green is just what the dr ordered to survive the flight! Mahalo Leahi Health!

Yay! Leahi Health has finally opened in Kailua. I no longer have to wait for Sundays to roll around to get their drinks at the Kailua Town Farmers Market. They’ve opened up right in the center of Kailua Town on Kuulei Road in the same building as U Down.
There was a time when I used to wonder why on earth would people want to drink that green stuff. Now I’m addicted to that «green» drink. The Leahi Health drinks are light and refreshing. My favorite is the Sweet Tweet (No. 2) which has apple juice, greens, pineapple, orange, lemon, mint and chia.
I haven’t tried any of their bowls yet, though they do look delicious. A friend showed me hers, and they give really large portions. They’ve got spacious inside seating, and outside seating too. Service is friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to get a rewards card then you go there, because I’m sure you’ll be back once you start going!
