amazing bowl I will be back!!!

I just love this place even more because they are in Kailua! I no longer have to trek over the Pali for my favorite coco-​ginger smoothie. It’s a not too sweet smoothie with a ginger twang mixed into it. I can’t get enough of it. I did order the super large once and I just loved it!
This space is bigger than the Kaimuki one. I’ve never had to wait too long to order. Parking is on the street. My only thing is that the air conditioning is a little cool here. Fortunately, there’s a bench you can sit on outside. Service is quick, they usually have 2 people working at a time. If you gotta get me a smoothie, come here and get me a coco-​ginger!

My review is strictly on the customer service only. The few times I have been here the drinks and bowls have been really good! BUT the older man or owner I’m guessing is not the best at greeting you or even welcoming he just stares at you. I’m all about customer service so this is the main reason why I don’t go here as much as I would want to. Bummer!

Warrior bowl was great as was the deluxe bowl. Staff didn’t seem too friendly but the bowl was quite a treat. Love the area.

Wonderful environment… love the music! So many different selections to choose from! They have several non dairy items and they have some made with pineapple sorbet! I enjoyed the Guava Strawberry and it is so refreshing and very delicious! You can tell this is a local shop vs a chain juice store as the flavors are very fresh! It is hidden away is Kailua but worth finding!!!

Gave this place many tries before and every time I have come here I have been disappointed! Their smoothies don’t taste real to me, it tastes like they add ice cream or something to it:/

People if you are questioning getting a bowl or smoothie from here… I’m just letting you know, not to worry haha ! This place is amazing. The staff is always nice, they’re starting to remember me. Of course this is far from where I live but I’m in Kailua enough. I get the deluxe bowl 24oz. I tried the 16oz but I loved it so much I decided I’m just sticking to my 24oz. Price is very reasonable. You’re not paying for a $ 13 acai bowl !

I found this place while walking through one day. It truly is a gem. I’ve ordered a different smoothie each time and have not been disappointed. Best juice place in Kailua.

Got the guava breakfast cup, taste like real fruit without the seeds. Had a same of the kale with pineapple cup and that was good, going to order that one next time. Everything seemed fresh, my mma fighter son enjoyed the more protein cup with peanut butter.

I’m trying not to be so easy at giving five stars, but I can’t think of any reason as to why this place doesn’t deserve it. You can probably see from other reviews that this place is well loved, and it’s entirely within reason.
They have an abundant amount of options; there’s really something for everyone. Creamy smoothies, fruity smoothies, açai bowls, coffee, and pretzels, to name a few of your options. Today I had the Blueberry Cream Smoothie and my friend had the Açai Bowl. We were both satisfied and would definitely come again. The smoothie I had wasn’t as milky and creamy as I thought it would be, which was actually a nice surprise. It was also blended so well that the seeds didn’t bother me, which they often do when I get berry smoothies at other juice bars. I got the smallest size and it took a while for me to finish. Their small cup isn’t that small, at least in my opinion. I’m not complaining though!
The service was decent. Nothing to complain about. Friendly staff, and only two workers from what I could see. There are a bunch of tables and chairs inside, and there’s a bench outside if you want to sit. There is street parking right out front and down the street. However, the parking lot for Cinnamon’s is in the back of the building, which is where I parked. Just know that there’s a meter so obviously you have to pay. Thankfully we came after Cinnamon’s was closed, so it wasn’t crowded the way it would usually be when Cinnamon’s is open.
I truly believe there is something here for everyone. I haven’t heard any issues from anyone who’s been here. Also, this place has a coupon when you check in on Unilocal,so how can anyone hate on a place that gives discounts?! If you’re hanging around Kailua or going to and from the beach, definitely stop by!

I come here every weekend and it’s my favorite juice place. They use real ingredients. Depending on the amount of people in the line, the time it takes to make a smoothie/​bowl is good.
I personally love the okinawan sweet potato, Strawberry Banana, and the warrior bowl.

I’ve been on this acai bowl kick for the past 5 years, so it’s been a personal mission to try all of the recommended acai bowl places on the island.
I’m rarely on the Kailua side, so I pretty much do it big when it comes to food whenever I’m in the area. After eating a Yamas in Enchanted Lakes for lunch, I was craving something tangy and sweet to counteract all the garlic I inhaled. Jewel or Juice hit the spot with its acai bowl. I ordered a small just to get a taste of it; it was decent. Nothing too special about it; acai topped with granola and banana. If you want honey, you have to pay an additional 75c. Maybe it’s the Filipino side of me speaking, but why charge extra for honey? I can’t even fathom an acai bowl without it, so why charge an extra fee? Needless to say, I paid the additional 75c for honey, but still…
The other time I had Jewel or Juice was about a year ago; my sister got me an acai smoothie. That was just okay, too.

My favs in order:
1. Peanut butter banana
2. Almond coconut
3. Lots of nuts
4. Pb berries
Can you tell I like peanuts and almonds?
Pretzels are delicious as well.

Hands down the BEST place for acai bowls and smoothies! Better than Lanikai Juice and Jamba. Monday’s are sad for me because they are closed. ;) We enjoy the warrior bowls and pitaya smoothie and our kids love the peanut butter berry cup and coconut almond smoothie.

My first visit to Jewel or Juice was a drive by smoothie run! My friend had called in an order for two coconut almond smoothies which she described as an «orgasm in my mouth!» Well I don’t know about you, but I’m never going to say no to an orgasm and in my personal opinion neither should you.
There wasn’t any parking out front so she parked around the corner and waited in the car while I ran inside. I’m always a little hesitant to order smoothies by phone because when I’ve ordered from other smoothie businesses they’ve either messed my order or it’s left out on the counter and ends up being lukewarm. There’s nothing worse than a lukewarm orgasm, am I right? I walked through the door to be welcomed by an adorable, organized and clean little shop. As I sauntered toward the counter, I was pleasantly surprised as the man at the counter pulled my smoothies out of a freezer for me. Oh yes, no lukewarm orgasms for us! I paid him and we were on our way in under a minute.
Coconut almond smoothies are orgasmic but only if you reeeaaalllyyy like coconut and almonds. It was actually pretty rich and I couldn’t finish an entire one in a single sitting. But I did save half of it to enjoy later that day. Now you can’t do that with a real orgasm… or can you?

This place is great. The Deluxe Acai bowl is the best value in town at around 40 cents an ounce! The name is pretty cool because they actually do sell jewels here – various stones and the like. In the question of Jewel or Juice I chose Acai Bowl… but the juices and smoothies look amaze balls. Top notch ingredients and great affordability compared to other juice joints.
Really cool people work here and are always friendly and talkative. I was wearing one of my more subtle Star Wars shirts and the juice master could tell what it was right away and compliments ensued. Flattering patrons always a great move, especially when pedaling jewels or juice.

I’m in LOVE with this place! Totally addicted to the Warrior Bowl… just perfect!

Jewel or Juice is a cute little establishment that hosted a super refreshing acai bowl & fruity smoothie for my boyfriend and I after our hike at Lanikai Pillboxes!
We came at around ~1pm, and it was pretty slow. Only a few girls that were dressed in beachwear were hanging out there. We parked right across Jewel or Juice, and when you enter, you are welcomed by its super hip décor! Awesome «beachy”/cool type of ambiance going on there. The staff greeted us as soon as we entered. (very friendly!) We already knew we were going to get an acai bowl, but my boyfriend decided that he wanted to add on a smoothie.
When we finally ordered, we decided on a 16oz Deluxe Acai Bowl (7.25) and a 16oz Strawberry & Banana smoothie (4.25). The Deluxe Acai Bowl came topped with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, shredded coconut, granola, and honey! (We ordered without the coconut) It’s actually pretty cheap for what you get — in comparison to other places that I’ve gone too.
We took a seat inside, and we waited around 5 minutes, and we were delivered our order. The acai bowl? YUM! Probably one of the best I’ve had so far. The acai was smooth, and all of the components (fruits) were obviously very fresh. The only thing, was that there wasn’t enough granola to our liking. Other than that, it was very refreshing, and the 16oz was the perfect size for him and I to share. And as for the smoothie… VERY fruity! It did not AT ALL taste like it was made from artificial powder. It was very rich in flavor, and really did resemble a blended banana and strawberry. Sooo yummy!
All in all:
PROS:
–Super trendy décor.
–Acai bowl is awesome in flavor and price.
–Smoothie is true to taste & refreshing.
–Workers are very friendly!
CONS:
–Not enough granola in the acai bowl.
Okay, so basically one small con to four ultimate pros. I would totally give this place a four and a half star rating if I could! Anyways, if I’m ever back on this side of the island, I will definitely make my way back to Jewel or Juice. They totally won my heart!

I don’t know if it was the two hour morning run or the fresh fruit and ingredients in the acai bowl, but the snack I had at Jewel or Juice was just delightful. It quenched every urge for nourishment and coldness after a long day in the sun.
The shop is located next to Cinnamon’s Restaurant, so don’t let the crowd turn you off. The interior is quaint and clean. The staff were super friendly and seemed to enjoy interacting with their customers. They put quality work into my deluxe bowl, and had it ready in a matter of minutes. I was very impressed with the quality and the taste of the fresh products in the food.
If Jewel of Juice doesn’t make you extremely happy after eating it’s food, you are doing something wrong. This place will quench the deepest thirst or the hottest of sun soaked patrons. I would highly recommend stopping in and enjoying some great food in a great town.

My bf and I were craving an acai bowl after a day at Lanikai Beach so we came here because it wasn’t too far. We ordered the Deluxe Acai Bowl to share and it was good, but not the best acai bowl I’ve had. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I did like that it was topped with lots of fruit and honey and the coconut shavings made it unique. They seem to have great smoothies though based on the reviews I’ve read. Maybe I should have gotten one of those. The service was great though– they were nice and pretty fast. Also, random tip– most street parking around here is metered.
