me & the hubby were looking for someplace to eat while waiting for our flight at the kona airport, but after reading the Unilocal reviews, did NOT want to eat at the 1 place inside the airport. we asked our shuttle driver if had other options & he suggested kbs, across the street from the hawaiian airlines terminal, said a lot of locals who work around the airport go there. we had the pork luau stew (so ono!) & chicken katsu (hot & juicy!) and all at decent prices. & the staff (cook & cashier) were friendly. they need a bigger sign to let people know to eat there before going to the gate!
