History

Established in 2006.

In 1998, Brad Kriser was introduced to natural pet food by his cousin in Boulder, CO. He soon saw the difference it made on Maggie, who is 16 years old and still runs up the stairs. So when he opened a pet day care — the Barking Lot — in 2001, he knew he had to carry natural pet foods. Seeing how this natural lifestyle helped pets, Brad opened a store dedicated to natural pet food and supplies — Kriser’s. The first store opened in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood in 2006, and since then, it has grown to 27 stores in four metro areas, all the while remaining dedicated to the pets we serve in the communities we’re in.
