Established in 2011.

We opened our first store in August 2011 at our Shepherd location. The response to our new service was overwhelming! Within the past three years we have expanded our service to cover the Sugar Land area, the Memorial area and the Voss/​Westheimer area. We look forward to servicing the downtown area in the coming months.

In 2010, my sister and my brother in law came to me with an exciting idea to partner with them in a novel business concept. They presented the idea of creating a cell phone repair business after their kids had cracked numerous screens on their smart phones. My brother in law came up with the concept in January and by August of 2011, Fix Ur Gadget, was a dream come to fruition.

We have been very fortunate to have such a loyal customer base in the Houston and surrounding areas. After four years we have grown our business to four stores and are currently working on opening a fifth store in the downtown tunnel.

Our mission statement is to provide the best customer service in town. We strive to make this our goal on a daily basis. Our customers are the reason we are in this business.

I love this place! I had several issues with my phone and was given the run around by apple and verizon for 3 hours that day. I was recommended by a friend to try this place out and I figures why not give it a shot after all of the BS apple has put me through. I went in and dropped it off and with in 45 mins had my power button, my battery, and my charging port all repaired for a minimal amount of money. Apple wanted to
Charge me 600 $ for a new phone when in turn it was their defaults product… This place is amazing and would recommend it to anyone.

Terrible from start to finish! I should have known better when I dropped my tablet off and the girl apologized several times because «it’s Friday and my head isn’t at work». I have a very basic issue with my tablet, it will not turn on because the battery is too low but the battery won’t charge. I called the Shepard location and was told they were sure they could fix it, the issue sounded simple enough. Maybe I should have just gone there. Anyways, the girl took my tablet, along with my information and $ 25 to diagnose the problem, and said she would call in the afternoon. I waited until 3pm the following day and when I called to find out what was going on, I was told «oh the girl who helped isn’t in today, I guess that responsibility was on me, sorry». He then told me he tried to power it on and nothing happened. Ummm DUH that’s why it’s there! I then proceeded to tell HIM some of the common issues with my particular tablet and he said he would call his «higher ups» to see if they would be able to install a new battery. He called back and said management informed him they could not do that due to the costs incurred if by chance it wasn’t the battery. So that left nothing else since I am sure it’s the battery (I told the girl that the previous day). I promptly picked up my tablet and asked if he did anything other than power it on… He didn’t. So I paid $ 25 for a diagnosis I had already figured out myself. $ 25 for them to press the power button. $ 25 for the advice to buy a new battery and YouTube a video of how to install that new battery. I happened to see this place on the local news a couple of weeks ago and they made it seem like they could fix even difficult issues with any «gadget». Yet they were totally unwilling to address this totally basic issue on a 3 month old tablet which leaves me with the question of whether or not these techs actually know anything or if they’re in the back getting their solutions on YouTube. Maybe a little less party and a little more focus on actually working when at the work place. Like I said, I should have known better when the face of their business was too hungover to even remember to call me back as promised.
