Tom Kretzschmar, President, is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University, member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and Industry Partner with the American Society of Interior Designers. Kretzschmar’s history goes back to one of Texas’ oldest and most prominent electrical contracting firms, Rulon Electric, which his grandfather founded over 65 years ago. After graduating from Southwest Texas State University, Kretzschmar honed his skills at Rulon and in 1980 formed Illuminations Lighting Design. Illuminations initially specialized in lighting fine art and cabinets, but quickly expanded to include all forms of artistic lighting design including landscape lighting as well as residential electrical contracting. Tom has been awarded three US Patents for custom lighting fixtures which are distributed worldwide under the Trademark of Phantom Lighting Systems.
