Teddy’s Bigger Burgers

Fantastic service, fantastic food. The Hawaiian was awesome. Terry sauce combined with their special sauce, an interesting and fresh twist to the Old Hawaiian burger. The milk shake was delicious. The staff is so nice. We will be back, often.

Teddy’s. So many choices. I’ve had plain burgers and specialty burgers and their both great. I didn’t like the southwest burger but that’s my preference. My husband loves it. I’m more on the spicy level than sweet bbq. The fries and tater tots are tasty.

Extremely hard working staff on a very crowded weekday evening. Each staff was hustling to fulfill orders yet took the time to stop to answer patrons’ walk-​up inquiries. They did all of this with smiles on their faces the while time.
I live in the suburbs and when I pulled up and saw the long line I was dreading the «city folk» at this location. I must admit I was completely wrong, the staff at thus urban location have superb hospitality and fully encompass the aloha spirit. Thank you Teddy’s Beretania!

I love this Teddy’s because it’s so close to home but also because the quality of food and friendly service can’t be beat! Because I’m a vegetarian, I get a veggie burger most times I come but lately they have been out! :(Hopefully they will get them back or at least offer an alternative besides salad soon. The salads are tasty as well, but they are very lettuce-​heavy and not so generous on toppings. Sometimes the oiliness of the fries or special sauce gives me a stomachache, but I sacrifice comfort for greasy diner food like this from time to time because let’s face it, it’s worth it.

I was a really really really craving a burger. I wanted to try I was a really really really craving a burger. I wanted to try another place that had burgers, but they were closed. So I opted for the safest choice, Teddy’s.
I’m so happy that I chose Teddy’s. They do not disappoint. The burger was delicious as usual. I got the original big burger with cheddar cheese. The sauce is a good combination of salty and sweet, but it’s a little more on the sweet side. My only wish is that the burger was actually cooked medium as requested on my order.
The service was actually better than usual. Someone came around twice to ask if we needed anything. I would have like a wet wipe, but at least the private bathroom had soap.
Also a huge plus, there is a private lot.
4 stars. Would definitely go again if I were craving a burger and was unwilling to venture out and try a new place.

Must say the service here is fantastic!!! Everyone is friendly and helpful! The food is delicious. My daughter loves her cheeseburgers!

When I searched for best chili cheese fries this place comes up — -well chili is only available during the summer. wth…in Hawaii… oh well

I just had to edit to add another star. I would give their service ¹⁰⁄₅ stars if I could. my son likes this location over the «ice cream teddys» at kapiolani, which means I don’t get fancy soda with my teddys anymore but I do get amaaaaaazing service. everyone is so friendly, helpful, attentive, and genuinely so!
food is also delicious! I used to get fancy burgers but now I prefer to be simple and just get a cheeseburger on lettuce wrap! …so I can eat some tater tots (hashtag still obsessed with tater tots).

Onion rings HEAVEN ! Can’t go wrong with the beer-​battered onion rings ! Crispy not soggy !
Then there’s the bacon avocado n cheese burger ! Another thing you can’t go wrong with ordering ! Now that I’m pregnant and craving … it only makes sense to send my husband on runs to Teddy’s since we just live in the valley !
This Teddy’s is always clean, parking is almost always there and accessible ! Walking. Distance from the College or a short bike ride !!

One of the better «chain» burger places. The burgers taste good, they have a wide variety of toppings for both burgers and fries, great shakes, and even a salad that you can put a burger on top.
In addition to burgers they have chicken options as well as some vegetarian items as well I believe.
Definetely one of my regular «go get food» places.

Such a positive experience! From the moment we entered the door, the cashiers greeted us and waited patiently for us to look over the menu. I actually have really bad eyes so it was difficult for me to see everything on the menu. The cashier, Jamari, offered me a takeout menu and suggested it would be easier to look over. I really appreciated that.
While ordering, he was very attentive and made sure he had everything correct. He also asked if we were students in which we responded yes. Turns out students get 10% off their order! Most cashiers would only apply discounts for those who inquire about it; it was nice to know our cashier was trying to save us a few dollars.

I like my hamburgers well done. And yes, It is possible to cook a burger well done and still retain moisture. Too bad on the day I went to this Teddy’s location they just didn’t get it right. The burger was dry and flavorless. Although my burger was a huge disappointment, I absolutely loooooved the strawberry malt. And the onion rings were awesome too!
When we walked in, there was no line but it seemed like it took forever for our order to be ready. The place was busy and crowded but there were still lots of parking stalls available. Honestly, the staff seemed really stressed out but they were trying to be as friendly as they could muster under the circumstances. I believe the quality of food is better at the Kailua location (which I have been to several times) but I am willing to try this location again as I like to give second chances, and its alot closer to home!

Made my order EXACTLY how I asked for it! Excellent Customer Service from Malcolm! Not only for me but I noticed his service with everyone! Excellent hire Teddys! Customer Service is key… this Teddys may be my new favorite!

Ease of parking! The entrance is RIGHT after their signs/​outdoor seatings, do not miss it! It’s free, and there are plentiful spaces. I noticed that the building is part of an apartment complex, so do not park where the apartments are.
Their menu here is more extensive than the Teddy’s that recently opened up on Maui. They have sweet potato fries!!! Yummy.
I had the Teddy’s original burger with regular fries and a strawberry shake. I think I’ll get the burger medium-​well next time. It didn’t agree with me lol! Their shake was alright, but it taste kind of «fake.» But I really liked their sweet potato fries.
They also have chicken offerings here too. :O

Being the burger aficionado that I am, I was drawn to Teddy’s like a moth to the light. Having tried the outpost in Fullerton at a Unilocal event, I just didn’t love what they served us, so instead of saying that in the written word format, especially after they had been so kind as to feed a group of elite Unilocalers, I just did not feel right about exposing my true opinion that day. Fast forward to my visit to Teddy’s bigger burgers in Honolulu and we have a whole different tale to spin. Everyone in our party that Sunday loved their burgers, fries, Umami fries, tater tots and shakes. The service was a little spotty, and the beverage selection weak, all coke fountain products.
The burger selection begins with what size fresh patty? 5 oz, 7oz or 9 oz I believe — then they season it, chargrilled it to your liking. Yes, rare is available, no stupid government intervention or waivers to sign. The toasted potato bun is great, cheeses, fresh toppings, etc. this menu was way more than the one in Fullerton. I can see why folks like this place –they need the Oahu version in Fullerton. It was a 3.5 star experience, could have been 4 if they did not overcharge us, then forget our kids vanilla shake. I had to request it, twice. I would still go back there in a heartbeat.

We come to this place every time we come to Honolulu for a good milkshake! This time we tried a chocolate Kona coffee milkshake which was delicioso! We also enjoyed the unique fry selections and the teriyaki grilled chicken sandwich was delicioso! We always have something good to say about this place and we haven’t been disappointed!

TEDDY’S BIGGER BURGERS 2424 S BERETANIA AVE:
I have been wanting to try their famous burger for a long time at the original Kapahulu Ave. I had finally get to try this one at Moiliili. Now I see branches everywhere…
I had Combo = Teri Burger 5oz with Swiss Cheese + Sweet Potato (upgraded +$ 1.00) + soda =$ 11.36. Very satisfied.
Good parking on the Ewa side of the building.
Service was fast and smooth and even got wet napkins delivered when I needed!
AND the burger was tasty with large lettuce and the potato fries were crispy delish!

Teddy’s Bigger Burgers — you had one job — and that’s to make and serve burgers/​fries/​drinks — and you failed miserably.
Wow. Haven’t had such a terrible experience at a burger place in a long long time.
A couple of years ago, I went to Teddy’s in Kailua and everything was delicious. Thinking it would be a nice time to have their burgers, hubby and I went to this TBB on S. Beretania Ave.
BIG MISTAKE.
(1) Wrong Order. Hubby ordered a burger with tomato and cheese and bacon ONLY. After waiting for what seems to be a forever wait, they gave him a burger with EVERYTHING on it. When hubby told him he ordered a tomato and bacon and cheese ONLY, they said they would re-​make the burger. How odd that it took forever for the first burger to arrive — but the second time around they showed up rather quickly. ??? What did they do — scrape off the sauce, peel off the lettuce, remove the pickles and re-​serve it?
(2) I waited for my milk shake — but the guy brought out the burgers and took the number off our table. Um, where’s the milkshake? So hubby had to go ask — and they were oblivious. They asked him what flavor it was. You took the order for a milkshake, you charged us for the milkshake — you guys just fail to DELIVER the purchased goods. Not good.
(3) My hubby and I both ordered our burgers WELL DONE. Hubby’s burger came out WELL DONE. Mine was pink in the middle. Why? I should have said something — but at this point, with their screwing up my hubby’s burger order (and having to wait for a new burger), and having to wait again for a milkshake that they had no intentions of serving if hubby didn’t go to the register to ask — I gave up at this point. I ate «around» the pink area.
Came home and I was sick — more than likely from having a burger that wasn’t fully cooked.
Never going back there again.
BEWARE — make sure you check your burger to see that it is cooked fully. I do not recommend anyone eating a burger that is not WELL DONE.

Delicious. Fresh. CHEESY. Burgers.

«Sure. What kind of cheese?»
«Cheddar… And can I get garlic CHEESE on my fries, too?»
«Yup. Anything else?»
«Yeahhh *looking left and right for judgy eyes*… and can I also get a side of CHEESE, please?»
«Yes you can.»
The gates of heaven have opened for me.
Teddy’s makes one of the freshest burgers IMO. The veggies are crisp, the patties juicy, and the CHEESE makes everything better! Not to mention this location is a five minute walk from our house.
There are side condiments like ketchup, hot sauce, and salt lined up by the fountain drinks. The vibe is chill and the service is just «meh» but take the burger and run!
The Combo #1 is a 5-​ouncer– just plump enough to fill my tummy if I eat every single fry too. But NOW… they have new desserts like Dave’s ice cream shakes AND Strawberry CHEESEcake delight, made with Strawberry Ribbon Ice Cream and Cheesecake bites. CHEESY overload.
On a side tip: They offer military and student 10% discounts (Military Mondays are all day, every Monday and Students are daily), so bust out that CAC card and UH smile for a sweet deal!
