Called them today and the gentleman who answered the phone told me to come in for a free estimate! As soon as I got there he came out to my truck and started to look at my AC to diagnose the problem. I will recommend this shop from now on. They are friendly courteous and very professional I would give them 6 Stars if I could. My AC problem lies in the hands of my previous mechanic whom I will not mention any names because over the years he has done extremely good work for my family and I.
If anyone needs there air conditioning in their car repaired you definitely gotta check out this place

Very honest owner. Fix my AC with integrity. Second opinion that prove my first AC shop was trying to rip me off. The first AC shop A1 specialist admitted he was having hard times. and wanted 1200 from me. Polar fix my leak for honest price. Go here if you have problems .he also does safety checks and other repairs. Thank you polar and local boys.

We were recommended to Polar A/​C by a friend who said to use his name to get good service. Didn’t work out for us.
They agreed to see us quickly, but did no diagnostics. They said we needed a resistor module, but gave us no part number. We drove from Mapunapuna to Ka Uka Blvd. @ Tony Honda to buy the part. We ended up driving back & forth two times that day.
After a mistake on part numbers, we waited two days for the right part. The part was popped in, & burned out immediately.
We decided to go to Hamakua Body & Fender instead. The whole thing cost us $ 620.00 & 5 days without a car.
If you go to Polar Auto A/​C, you do so at your own risk.

These guys charged me $ 60 to add a dye to check for a leak, then tell me I have a leak at this part without even checking for any leaks with a UV light. I had to borrow a UV light to check myself, and it turned out to leak from a different part than what they assumed. Do not trust these guys.

They did my safety check. Then noticed I had a oil leak. It was fixed in one day and they charged less than the estimate.
Wish the place was easier to find. It is hidden next to Battery Bill’s.

Unprofessional! They misquoted, fine. They took 3 days instead of 3 hours, fine. They accidentally disabled the factory remotes when taking apart the dashboard, NOT fine. They cracked the radio when taking apart the dashboard, NOT fine. Their response? *In an angry tone* — «well, what you like me do about it?!» Um… fix it! YOU broke it!!!
