Really weird industrial location behind the Wholesale Unlimited snack store (also weird location for buying snacks! in Mapunapuna). But, great help and selection and price for hard to find batteries. Found this place from their silly commercial on tv with the annoying jingle. I had a very unique battery from a home protection system that no hardware store carries. The sound of the dead battery signal from the alarm panel was driving me nuts and I had to do something fast. They had the battery and all is good at home now (I knew I was in trouble if they didn’t). Super friendly local staff and a great experience.

A battery I purchased there over 2 years ago went bad and I went in to replace it. Within 15 minutes and $ 50 later I had a brand new battery. The lady that helped me inside was great, and the installer Doug was super cool and got me back on the road quickly. He even showed me his little setup where he’s able to change the battery without having you lose all your computer/​radio settings in the car. Very happy with the service.

Bill is so nice, I was there yesterday getting a battery charger and a guy came back after realizing they forgot to give him part of his purchase. Bill felt so bad he had to drive back he reached in the cash register and gave him gas money! How sweet is that?

My starter battery in my Prius died and Jaron at the Nimitz Store really gave me super service. He was cordial and helpful and even called the Mapunapuna Store to have a longer bolt to hold the battery in place as the caps were a little high. Great company.

This place no only rip off. Also employ attitude is rube.
I buy a battery only one year two months. They charge me another $ 24. Still no good in 7month. I can go Costco get one 3year replacement warranty $ 75. And they charge me $ 105 and no replacement warranty. Unbelievable. Never never come back here. I agree people said ripped off.

Yep, Bill knows his batteries! Very helpful staff to find what you need. Found replacement batteries for an APC UPS and Nintendo 3DS console. Also found AAAA batteries.
This location is a little cramped with all kinds of stuff. But again, ask the staff for assistance.

Recently bought a new battery for my car (Interstate brand). After having the new battery put in, I went home. The next day, I decided to check the battery and found that the battery hold down bracket was barely hanging on. It appeared the installers at battery bill did not put back the correct bracket that belonged to my car. So, I went back to bb and told Bill that something was wrong with the battery bracket. He acted like I had done something wrong and not once acknowledged that his «people» could have done something wrong. I could not believe what happened and only can imagine how much damage my car would have had if the battery had fallen off the shelf it was sitting on.

Quick, fast, and friendly service. They’re open early and have everything to meet your needs. Only con is the battery I needed they didn’t have ready so I had to come back for five hours later to pick it up. So I recommend if you need a battery, call in advance so that maybe they can set it up and have it charged and ready before you arrive.

Visited Battery Bill’s on December 2, 2015. I have heard great things about this place from friends with regard to the range of batteries they have and their customer service. If you are ever in a bind for that hard to find battery, this is the place. Chargers too! However, I was not impressed with the customer service that I was expecting. Perhaps my expectations were high given the accolades my friends have given this place. Don’t get me wrong, customer service was not bad but it definitely could have been better. I was basically asked what I was looking for, got it, paid for it and left.
My purchase involved CR123A batteries. I paid $ 2.50 per Panasonic lithium battery and got twelve for a total w/​tax of $ 31.41! I could have gotten this exact same battery for $ 1 elsewhere but my demand for it was immediate. Oh, and the packaging surprised me… the twelve batteries came in a ziplock sandwich bag. In addition to my CR123A, I also asked for a quote on other common alkaline batteries and they ranged from $ 1 per piece to $ 1.60 depending on size. I also wanted to buy in bulk but no discount is offered. You still must pay the per piece price.
If you ever find yourself in a bind needing that battery right away, Battery Bill is the place! If you are not in dire need of the battery, you will save money by shopping around at other local stores and of course, online.

I hear a lot of great things about Battery Bill’s so I came in here one day to go and check it out. It seems that they have just about any kind of battery that you may need. After checking out Radio Shack for a cellular phone battery that I needed, they suggested Battery Bill’s because they did not have it. Well I guess sometimes there is an open market for batteries and Battery Bill’s seems like it is the best and if not the only place for other types of batteries. Anyways, this is their Mapunapuna location which is right across from the Servco dealership and L&L. Their shop is somewhat tucked further in the corner so the parking is confusing. When I first drove up there I did not know where to park so I just street parked (Armada driver).
The customer service is good and poor in a way for my first initial experience. I showed this one guy at the register the battery I was looking for. He seemed to recognize it right away and got the battery right away which was good. What I did not really like was the service, like he did not give me a price for it and just rang me up right away! It was 10 bucks and since it was the battery I obviously needed he just assumed that I was going to buy it right away. After that, he did not give me a receipt! Like what if the battery did not work kind og thing you know? Anyways yeah, I agree that it is the best place to be and go to for batteries but just the location, parking, and I guess customer service through me off for this review. Just sayin’.

Honest, helpful, and educational. I learned more about car batteries in 5 minutes with Bill than I knew in my 67 years in Hawaii. I will get all my batteries from him in the future. Mahalo Bill!

Called in for a 2007 macbook pro battery and they had one in stock. So glad that they didnt need to ask a ton of questions about model and ect. Staff really know their stuff. They had one in stock and held it for me. Although it was china brand, it beats searching online and waiting for it in the mail. Mahalo bill! You just saved my laptop from being another paper weight. 7 day return policy and 3 month warranty too!

If you need batteries, this is the place for you. Super helpful staff; highly knowledgeable. Owner is great. Cell phone batteries, car batteries, including the heavy duty kind for chevy pickups and bimmers. Prices are good. Service is exceptional. They have the latest portable chargers. We purchased one in case our cell phones or tablets needed charging while we were travelling. Came in handy when the kids drained the cell phone battery playing games during any «down time» we had during the trip.

Not only does this location have no parking, he rips people off. Came in for a cell phone battery, he gave me an aftermarket battery that doesnt even keep a charge, and then sold me a charger that doesnt work. He should not be allowed to have a business.

I’ve been going to Battery Bill’s pretty much since they opened up. I have always been really happy with the service as well as their products. I do computer consulting work and I often recommend using uninterruptable power supplies (UPS) to my customers. Of course, after a few years, the batteries in these devices start to fail. Before Battery Bill there were very few options regarding replacement batteries here in Hawaii. I often found that I would have to order batteries from the mainland. Because of their weight, this was an expensive proposition. Then came Battery Bill! Not only does he stock just about any type of battery you could want, he really knows batteries. He is the Battery Master and, if you’re willing to listen, he is even willing to educate. Over the years I have learned more about batteries from Bill than from anyone else. Service is great. Products are great. You can get everything from car batteries to cell phone batteries from him. If you need a battery, go see Bill. He’ll get you the best one to meet your needs.

They really do have all kinds of batteries. Always super nice and helpful.
Buying a cell phone battery is a whole lot cheaper than buying a new phone.

Hi i just broke my piggy bank and picked up my coveted ecoreco M5 electric scooter from Battery Bills! I got there by #3 bus but rode the super fast scooter back to Chinatown (about 8 mile away) in about 20 minutes! It was amusing to see drivers stuck in traffic along Nimitz highway this afternoon. Battery Bill’s should be the exclusive dealer for the ecoreco scooters in Honolulu. I recommend you to test drive the scooter before buying at the Mapunapuna store. Bill helped me unbox the scooter before I rode it back home. I plan to upload gopro videos of the streets of Chinatown to youtube soon while riding the new scooter. Thanks again Bill.

Came to get a new motorcycle batter! Very inexpensive compared to dealership. Plus a 6mo warranty. Everyone there was very courteous and knowledgeable. Even about LED lights that I inquired about. Person helping me, didn’t catch his name, but has a tattoo by his eye was awesome and very friendly! From now on, I am recommending all my family and friends to go to Battery Bill’s first!

Great selection, friendly service and great prices. Needed a battery for my garage door opener and all of the big box stores didn’t have it. Found one garage store company but they wanted $ 50 for it but Battery Bill’s price was only $ 24 for the exact same battery.

DONT BUY THEIR USED BATTERIES — once you give them your business, they treat you terribly over the phone for any help you have. They have that typical «there’s nothing we can do» policy. Bad service bad batteries

I purchase battery have 5 year warranty on it. 3day after the battery only have 2volt on it. Bring it back the guy ask me «what you do to the battery «I think that ‘s my question .also you have to pay for $ 24.95 to get a new replace battery. Unbelievable ! Service bad price so high. Special Led light and power charge.

I was floored at the lack of assistance I received from a shop I assumed would be experts in batteries. Up front with my ignorance and armed with manuals to track down the correct battery I left more confused. The staff, while not impolite, was not engaging or informative, leaving me to complete research online where I ordered instead. My recommendation, save yourself 30 minutes — skip the stop at Battery Bill’s and do what they convinced me to do — spend your money elsewhere.

I always talk to Bill, for my needs. But he don’t work on the weekends? Had them test my battery & charging system. got a new battery installed and it was all done under 15 mins. And gave me warranty on my old battery with asking for it.

The usb port on my Galaxy S4 stopped working properly, leaving me with a dead phone that refused to turn on. So much anxiety!!!
I stopped into Battery Bill’s first thing this morning and was happy to learn that I could buy a universal cell phone battery charger. For less than $ 15, my issue was solved.
Battery Bill’s also has a lot of other nifty battery related products, like a line of solar chargers and just about any battery you’d need.
I’m happy :)

I’ve been having problems with my galaxy s3 for a while now. I tried not to make it a big deal because although my phone is still in good condition, something was wrong with it’s charging. I could tell because I would always have to wiggle the cable in order for that stupid red light to go on. IT WAS SO ANNOYING. I tried buying different usb cables from a variety places. Walmart, Best Buy, and even tried Amazon but to no avail, I eventually found out my charging port was damaged.
It was horrible. I was super depressed thinking about my options. well it was only one that filled my head… GET A NEW PHONE. As much as I would love a new phone, I still liked my s3 and I wasn’t really in a mood to be splurging for the iphone5 or s4. So when I found out about Battery Bill’s…it was like all my phone problems went away with an universal battery charger.
This magical contraption, along with almost EVERYTHING battery related could be found at Battery Bill’s. Their selection is HUGEEE. I was so happy that I could charge my phone again. Amazing service through phone and in person. I had to make sure that they had the specific battery for my phone so I called before coming, and they did! The man that helped me, I assumed was Bill was also very nice and informative. He even let me test out the charger with a spare battery at the store!
I ended up getting the universal charger and another battery because everything was super affordable. I also didn’t even waste any time in there. I think Bill helped me in 15 minutes or less. I would come back here again if I ever needed a new camera/​laptop/​watch/​car/​ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING ETC battery. They are located near the 99 Ranch area, or Moanalua 99 as they are called now. Just look for L&L, and they will be hiding behind it, around the back. Battery Bill’s definitely needs more attention!

This is my second time here (first time was back in 2011 when my boyfriend and I bought a new car battery). Anyway, three months ago, American Airlines lost our luggage on our way to Vegas. Inside was our charger for our Canon SX40 camera. We only had one battery which died during our trip. My boyfriend and I didn’t have the time to buy one online so we called battery bills and asked if they sold battery chargers.
We didn’t expect them to have the charger because a lot of other places we called didn’t have it readily available (we didn’t want to buy it online). Since we needed the camera that same day we really wanted to find a place that had the charger. By this time, we have called several people and were accepting the fact that no one had our charger on the island.
However, when we called Battery Bill’s, the associate told us they had the universal canon charger. Within thirty minutes, we were at the store. I walked in showing the guy the battery without saying a word and he walked to the charger told us how it worked and how much it was. He also let us open it so we can make sure it fit before we made the purchase.
The battery charger also came with a 3 month warranty. Thank God because we have bad luck with chargers.
