Na Mele No Na Pua, or Music for the Generations, is the twice-monthly concert series held at the Plaza Stage on the Waikiki Beach Walk. Every other Sunday evening from 5−6pm is a free concert by excellent local musicians, often accompanied by well-known and skilled hula artists. Mats are provided by the Waikiki Beach Walk to be used on the roomy«grass» area in front of the stage. Permanent benches are available and restrooms are just inside the hotel lobby. I have been to three performances and all have been superb. A well-done event that we always look forward to. Only warning would be the weather. We have traveled down twice only to find mother nature has gotten in the way and cancelled the performance.
