Aloha Lovely Nails and Salon

This place is very clean, fast, and modern. I came around 11am on week day and I was taken care of right away and on my way in about an hour. The prices are reasonable.

Linh always did awesome job for my nail, she is the best in Hawaii. Staff there are so nice and very welcome all the guest to the salon. I will not go any other place to do my nail except here. Best!!!

I live in the area and decided to try this place out .
Simple manicure and pedicure, no wait and in and out in a little over an hour ! Very clean and professional. Definitely my new regular place! Very happy I came here !

I was brought here by my bridal party for my bachelorette. It was close by our hotel which was a plus but everything I asked for was denied by the nail tech. Mind you I am a nail enthusiast and do my own nail art. First I asked for nail extensions because One nail on each hand was short due to it being broken while I was crafting for my wedding. She told me no need since I have long nails. My nails were barely a centimeter long… Well she kept my nails the same length so I had two short nails… Anyways she decided I should have a French manicure. I’ll get to the details on this later in the post.
Next I asked if she could do 3D nail art. She told me she couldn’t do it and the ONLY two people who could do it left. Wait what? You have it on display and there isn’t at least one person per shift that could do it?! I was baffled at this point. She offered to do a hibiscus. I told her no I don’t want one nor do I like them. At this point I was thinking of my options. I decided to hell with it let her do a basic flower with a gem. Again she offered a hibiscus… I told her no and again repeated I wanted a normal flower and if she could make it pink because my wedding colors were pink and gold. She voiced her opinion again and told me white is more elegant. Well she did kind of listen to me… The flower was white with PINK lines going through it. Then she insisted on the gem being the white one. I told her gold. Yeah you get the point that I had to repeat myself.
As I mentioned before this was my bachelorette party so of course I wanted to talk to my girls. Well the tech kept on interrupting my conversations. I was pretty irked since one of my friends I haven’t seen for a while was talking to me. The time I don’t want to talk to the tech is the time I get one that’s a chatter box.
Anyways… The next morning as I was driving home I realized she did a horrid job on the French manicure. You could see the whites of my nail on four nails. Two were on my accented white flower nail. But my thumbs were pretty obvious. Even my bridesmaids and my fiancé said it was bad. Well it was the night before my wedding so I quickly packed my gel nail polish and had to do a quick fix on my own. So my left side I did a sweetheart dress with necklace and the right side I made a tux to cover her bad job.
And to make it worst. When she painted my toenails she painted my skin along with it. So I had to carefully lift it from the skin and cut the excess with nail clippers. It didn’t even last for more than 3 days which is unusual since I’ve had my painted toes last for nearly two weeks.
Bottom line I think she was rushing since she wanted to go home because as soon as she was done she was out of there.
A tip for this salon. If it’s the bride you may want to listen to her wants and may want to do a better job. Oh and be nice her bridal party too. One of my bridesmaid after she was done stomped off because her tech was absolutely rude.

Highly disappointed by this place. I came here because it was open until 10pm. When I first walked in I got greeted right away and they sat me down for my pedicure. The gentleman «Jackie chan» was very nice and did a really good job on my pedicure.
Here is where my disappointment kicked in. «Jackie Chan» did not finish my pedicure he started working on someone else. The lady who ended up polishing my toes got paint all over my cuticles. She started polishing my nails and the paint wrinkled up. So once again they tried to pass me around to another girl.
When she was done she told me to go dry my toes. Did not bother to put my flip flops on for me and made me go bare foot. I did not appreciate that at all.
I came in at a little after 7pm and didn’t leave the place until close to 10pm. I would have appreciated if the same person who started my service finished it. My polish chipped within 3 days.

Would highly recommend this spot! It’s VERY affordable for being on Waikiki beach! And the staff is VERY friendly! It is also very clean which definitely a PLUS!!!

This salon is VERY modern, refreshing, cleanly, and professional. They offer a good selection of services. I only ever get basic manicures or fairly basic full sets, so I’ve never been diasppointed. I’ve never asked for anything fancy to test their artwork or creativity, so I can’t comment on that aspect. However, the downside of this salon is their staff. I understand upselling and trying to boost sales… but there is a very fine line between suggesting something helpful/​caring about a customer and being pushy and trying to make an extra buck. Thankfully, the nail technician I had personally wasn’t pushy and helpfully suggested gel polish because it lasts longer, and asked why I wasn’t getting a pedicure as well. However the woman next to me had a female technician who was WAY too pushy. The poor customer had to kindly decline all of her tactics almost 10 different times. She was trying to upsell everything she possibly could by making the customer uncomfortable after the customer kindly declined.
Secondly, I decided to refresh my eyebrows this visit as well. As far as the quality of my wax, it was great. However I DO NOT appreciate being asked 3 different times in a 10 minute window if I want my lip waxed as well after I already said NO 3 times! It beigins to become offensive and way too pushy. I can understand asking once, but no more then that. After being asked so many times you begin to become self conscious, but you have to remind yourself that it’s just a sales tactic. Unfortunately for this reason I felt very uncomfortable. Also, an eyebrow wax is 15 $ which is way more then I have ever paid to have my eyebrows done. Will NOT be back for this service.
Bottom line, this place has A LOT of potential. GREAT location, prices are OKAY. Services have never disappointed. Atmosphere is relaxing… but the staff needs an adjustment. In the meantime, I will be searching for a new location.

Aloha Lovely Nails and A&A nails (kinda far from where I live though) are the only places where I would get my nails done. This is my nail go to place for sure! I had my nails done by pretty much all the nail techs here, definitely love me a nail session by Linh, Calvin or Loretta! I love them! They are so hospitable and always have great recommendations for the nails colors I like! They already know my name, they already know what kind of designs I like! I am sure they meet 100’s of costumers on a daily basis but the fact that they recognize me and my preferences since I am a regular, it definitely makes me loyal to them!
The nail place is always clean and tidy, prices are very reasonable, equipment and pedi chairs always nice, new and clean! Perfect location, you can go shopping right after or meet up with girlfriends for a drink or dinner with boyfriend on one of the many restaurants within a short walk! Thank you aloha lovely nails for always taking good care of me :)

My nail technician retired recently. I am 77 years old and have had manicures and pedicures for several decades. I know a good technician when I see one. I remembered Calvin from another shop on Kuhio and found out he moved to Aloha Lovely Nails. I have now had 2 manicures and 1 pedicure. I can say that Calvin is an excellent technician. My nails have never looked better. He is quick, efficient and a great deal of fun. I enjoy his personality also. I am very lucky to have found him and he is close to where I live. You don’t need to look further for an excellent nail technician.
I get a basic manicure and pedicure. However, I am sure Calvin would be excellent with anything a client would want.

Had a very good experience. Took the whole family for pedicures. Location was close to us and is central to a lot of food and shopping. The salon itself is very clean and spacious.
We had three ladies taking care of us and all of them were very attentive and kind. All made good conversation and we all felt comfortable. One lady even took my daughter to the bathroom (located outside of the store) while I was finishing up. My daughter really enjoyed talking with her.
As with any nail salon I have been to they are going to try and up-​sell packages and add ons. It’s up to you to buy in.
Package costs seem in line with the area and quality of service. I’m sure you can find some cheaper places a little further out but we were in the area and it made sense.
Good selection of polish, gels and services.
Definitely geared toward tourist traffic but that’s understandable given the location. Good hours.

I wanted to find a place close by to my job so it’s more convenient to get my nails done, this place is perfect. It’s very clean everyone’s super nice ! Calvin is awesome, he did a really good job I love it !

I had the pleasure of going to this nail salon today. I’ve been in Hawaii for 5 weeks, I went to a salon when I first got on the island and let’s just say the service was sub-​par and it was not clean at all. I needed my nails done again and was dreading going back there,
So while walking down Lewers I ran across Aloha Lovely Nails, and let’s just say it lives up to its name. I was greeted with Aloha, the shop is clean, the pedicure chairs are so relaxing and the service Calvin provided to me and my friend was exceptional, he gave us both pedicures and gel nails. I would recommend if you are visiting and want service just as good or better than you get at home, stop in ask for Calvin, tell him I sent you. Lol

Walk a few blocks and go somewhere else! I get pedicures all the time and this is the first place that has insisted that I would mess up my nail polish if I didn’t get a gel pedicure. They don’t dry your nails and they refused let me have the crapy flip flops that every salon has (I know they have them another girl left wearing them).
I left without having my nails painted.
I came here because they offer other services, but after this experience I decided I have to go somewhere else to get that done and find a place that will actually do my nails.

Wow this place annoyed me on so many levels. I had a great start with Linh, she gave me a beautiful gel mani and suggested a color I loved. She was very personable and friendly. THEN Tiffany ruined my entire experience. Initially I wanted the basic pedicure, $ 26 for a fast 30 minute basic pedi. Since my friend did the deluxe before me, she ASSUMED that was the one I wanted. She didn’t even ask me. Midway through she insists I get the callous treatment which I denied twice. She literally wouldn’t take no for an answer, of course it was $ 6 more. They’re really all about the money here and surprise you with your racked up tab at the end. I paid $ 50 for an acrylic overlay refill with gel, pricey but sort of normal. Just kind of weird that it was $ 20 for the fill but an extra $ 30 just for the gel polish? Whatever. I’m more so pissed about the price of the pedi. She charged me $ 32 for the «deluxe pedi» plus $ 6 for the callous treatment. $ 38 pedi? I wouldn’t have minded if I felt like I got my money’s worth but she didn’t even give me a lengthy massage (as she claims its extra for a massage) isn’t that included at a normal place? I finished 20 minutes before my friend finished hers, so she honestly should’ve charged me for the basic pedi. She massaged me for a sad 2 minutes at most, and obviously didn’t do a great job. 3 hours later and my pedi is all ruined!!! She paid no attention to drying my toes, she just wanted her money and wanted to leave since it was near closing. I even noticed other ladies surprised at their ridiculous up charges. This place is ridiculously expensive, and they make all nice but when it comes down to payment they could care less about ripping you off. This place is absolutely ridiculous and I want a damn refund. Honestly I love my mani from Linh, but Tiffany did a horrible job on my $ 38 pedicure. Save your money please, and go somewhere more reasonable that values customer service.

Aloha Nail is centrally located on the second floor of Waikiki beach walk. Everyone was very friendly and everything was clean.
I got gel on my fingers and Calvin did a fantastic job! He paid attention to detail on every finger. I also had a spa pedicure which was great!
My daughter had her toes and fingers painted and the price was great! The lady designed a beautiful flower on my daughters toes.
I recommend this nail salon! I will be back next time I’m in town!

Aloha Lovely Nail is located in the heart of Waikiki and super convenient with longer business hrs. This place is very spacious and clean. The workers are skilled and and I believe it is owned by Japanese.
The customer service is nothing like those ones by Chinese or Vietnamese. I was greeted by a nice Japanese lady right away just outside the door. I often feel pain when I get my cuticles done but the Japanese lady was very good, barely felt anything at all. My nails came out perfect.
I got the Express pedicure and I mean the massage is super express compared to other places. The price is rather high for how short the massage or foot soak was, but I don’t have to worry about getting my nails messed up or being in pain.
I would come back again!

Good experience. I am usually very particular with manicurists as I was a manicurist before. Saw their $ 16 manicure and $ 26 pedicure promotion and got lured in. But they turn out to be Express mani and pedi pricing. I upgraded to Deluxe Pedi for another $ 6. Overall: Quick and good

Aloha nails is perfect :) getting your nails done in paradise nothing beats it. This location had great hours and has the best reviews around, top floor is easy to find.
Service: 5 stars hand down. Best pedicure I’ve had in a long time, all of the girls here are friendly and give great service. Amazing massages here when getting your mani/​pedi and the orange color I got here was to die for. Everyone was complementing me on the color & it lasted about 3 weeks, unheard of when your walking the beach and swimming.
Lastly besides the amazing pedi and professionalism of the staff I’d have to give this place a 5 for appearance and décor. Very relaxing and the pedi bowls are gorgeous! Love it! I’d highly recommend this salon to anyone, locals and tourists. :)

My mom and are on vacation in the Waikiki area and we wanted to go for mani/pedi’s. After researching countless nail salons on Unilocal I settled on Aloha Lovely Nails and Salon due to its location being ideal to our hotel and with such a high rating, I was willing to take my chances as we were on a tight schedule.
Called in to see if they could fit us both as soon as possible and not a problem! As soon as we arrived we were seated and we chose what we wanted. Although there’s a bit of confusion with the prices, they have a little booklet to go through, 26 $ if for a fast in-​out type mani/​pedi so I would consider 36 $ they’re actual starting price! (Extra for painted flowers, etc)
Very nice workers, although suki does give the feeling she is in a rush, she is very proficient and delivers great service. :) My mom really enjoyed Dewey, she said he was awesome!
