I used to be obsessed with waxing, but now I’ve moved on to bigger and better (and more expensive – but worthwhile =/​) methods of hair removal… LASER TREATMENTS!!!
I had one of those coupon deals for laser hair removal, so I decided to treat my underarms. Honestly, unless you’re a baller or are married to Bill Gates, you would have to be a fool if you did any type of spa treatment without those online coupon deals. I feel like more than half of the emails I get from those websites are all about spas. But anyway, I digress back into MS&SCH…
I got 4 appointment sessions to treat my underarms. I always was able to make an appointment with ease, and they always called me a day prior to remind me. My estechian was AWESOME. She was so nice and was very respectful. The actual laser process went like this…
She gave me protective goggles to wear, sanitized my underarms with wipes… applied gel… started the laser machine and went at it! Both arms took a total of about 10minutes average. When I say they use a virtually painless laser machine here, THEY USE A VIRTUALLY PAINLESS MACHINE HERE! It was actually more soothing than painful. Yes, when the gel would wear down with each swipe of the laser wand, you might feel a warm sensation pinching your armpit… kind of similar to stretching a rubber band across your skin? But I would just tell her it felt kind of warm and she would put more gel on… problem fixed! After the treatment was done, she wiped off the gel, and put a soothing lotion over the area.
SUCH a nice person. I wish I could remember her name but she was the asian/​Islander woman that is usually in the front when you first walk in. I wish my coupon thing could have lasted longer because I really liked the cleanliness atmosphere of the place and the nice service.

Very friendly and professional staff. The place is located on the 19^th floor in a building connected to Ala Moana mall so its easy to park. Its clean. I went for laser tattoo removal and am happy with the experience. The times I have gone it was easy to make an appointment. I went early to allow for the numming cream to take effect. I have maybe 1 more laser treatment to go.

Anyone who lives in town knows that the words «relaxing,» «pristine,» and «oasis» usually don’t describe anything within a 5 mile radius of the Ala Moana and Kapiolani Blvd area. I used to think this too, until I stepped into the MedSpa. Everytime I go there I feel like I’m on vacation. The whole atmosphere just seems to have a calming effect on me, maybe because I know I’m about to get pampered. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and I swear, they all have perfect skin! Having the complexion of a porcelain doll must be in the job requirement. What I also really like about their staff is they’re never pushy and they don’t try to shove services down your throat, like some other spas. Another cool thing is if you sign up to receive their emails, you will be periodically notified of specials they’re having. You should definitely take advantage of these deals– who would want to pass up a discount on a facial?
They offer a wide array of services and everything I’ve done there has always been good. I recently became addicted to their Hydra-​Facials– it has the same effects as a microderm only without the pain. Love it! I also think they’re the only spa on island with this special type of laser hair removal equipment that is virtually pain-​free. Double-​bonus! Now if only Saturday would come sooner, I have an appointment there and my face is dying for a Hydra-​Facial fix…
