Beware: the cancellation policy here is extremely strict. No exceptions and they need documentation. I am a repeat customer and was traveling overseas, flight changed, stranded at the airport when my appointment was supposed to happen. Canceling my laser appointment slipped my mind given the situation! Duh! They could not see the human side of my situation and still charged me for the appointment, even with boarding passes showing I was traveling on the day of my appointment.
On top of everything, I have noticed alot of growback, even after 10 treatments. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

very clean and friendly staff. i bought the groupon but they only honored 2 treatments out of the 3 because the 3^rd treatment fell after the expiration date. i was kinda of pissed, and although i bought another 5 session package (for brazillian), they still didn’t want to make an exception.
anyway, to get an appt is never an issue. once you check in, they walk you to your room & then you’re allotted a few mins to change into a towel that they leave on the exam table. then, your tech comes in, adjusts the table, gives you protective glasses, and starts to numb your area with a few ice packs. after about 5 mins of small talk, you start the laser. it hurts of course, but not unbearable. it takes a total of 25 mins for the entire process.
i like this place because its clean, and so far, the results are great. i haven’t been burnt and its not as awkward as one would think. they also have great specials every month, so look it up. ive had laser done at other places, and so i can make a comparison. i have nothing really bad to say about j beauty except what i had mentioned prior. however, i do highly recommend laser. they say it takes about 6 – 10 treatments to get the best results, not including the maintenence every 6 months that they recommend as well.
ps: parking would be at ala moana mall, across of the bank of hawaii parking. you know how crazy that can get.

I bought a Groupon for laser hair removal for my underarm area and also bought the extended treatments (at a discounted rate). Their service is very quick, you’re in and out. Depending on who the technician is, the customer service can vary. One technician was all business. Limited convo and didn’t really go out of her way to make me feel comfortable. And on a different treatment day, one was very friendly. Talkative, warm, asked me several times if I was ok. I guess, looking at the big picture, I didn’t mind TOO MUCH that one technician was friendlier than the other because now my underarms are as smooth as a baby’s bum.
One complaint I do have is, I bought their Groupon for a medium area and they said that «only first time customers can use a Groupon.» I guess I didn’t read the fine print but I feel business is business, new or old… it’s money in their pocket. And I would probably be required to purchase more than the 3 treatments the Groupon offers, as I did with the underarm treatments. So now I’m forced to go somewhere else, which I’m not fully disappointed with, but it would’ve been convenient to get everything done at the same place.

I do not typically write reviews but am extremely disappointed with J Beauty Clinic.
First of all, there is no one that speaks very good English and by the way, I do speak a little Japanese so perhaps it is better to mute your phone when you are talking to your co-​workers in the background.
We had a laser hair removal treatment done. They missed treating a section of skin (three times) so this area is noticeable (treatment was marginally effective for the areas treated by the way). I called them and after taking a very long time to explain this, they agreed to an appointment this week (Saturday).
A work emergency came up this morning (Thursday) and I am unable to make it this week so I asked to reschedule. The manager called me back and said that if I can’t make it this week, then they can’t help me. She said that she would hold the appointment for me and I explained again that I had to work. So she said again that she couldn’t help me and that they would not allow a reschedule.
Asked to speak to the owner. Was told that she is out of the country and couldn’t be reached. Asked for an email address and was given the general email address. I asked if the owner would receive the email and was told that she may or may not, that she was really busy and had other businesses.
Told the manager how disappointed I was about the results and for the horrible customer service. I said that I would be writing a review and she did not seem to care — so here it is.
p. s. Because of the poor results we experienced, we found another clinic that had far better results for less treatments, much less expensively with GREAT customer service. I will ask them to fix this.

This is the only place I’ve been for laser hair removal so can’t compare to anywhere else yet. To be truthful it hurts like heck! Way more pain than waxing. BUT it works.
I have had 3 treatments for bikini area and see results. I was told that the bikini area is usually a 6 – 8 treatment every 6 weeks.
I will try new place to compare the pain level and write a review based on comparison in 6 weeks.
My technician knew what she was doing, and I didn’t have any bad reactions. Very clean environment and very professional. Parking is difficult and traffic is bad because of construction in Ala Moana Shopping Center. Don’t be late or else you loose your appt. and forfeit your $.
