Floyd and Ashley were my photographers for my wedding at the Hale Koa and they were professional, friendly, and skilled. I found them through recommendations (since I traveled to Hawaii from NJ for my wedding) and I’m so glad I went with Floyd. Throughout the time leading up to my wedding, Floyd and I corresponded through emails and he was always prompt and precise.
The day of the wedding, they showed up on time and greeted everyone with smiles. The photographers split up, one for the bridal party and the other for the groomsmen. They listened to the concerns we had and whatever else we threw at them (parent’s concerns for family portraits), they took like champs. Ashely was able to make us laugh away while Floyd busily snapped away.
I would definitely recommend having Floyd and his team with you for your special day. He definitely captured some of the best moments that I didn’t necessarily see while I was busy hosting my wedding. Thank you Floyd and Ashely for all your hard work from the day of to the days following with editing!

It was wonderful working with iFloyd Photography for my wedding at The Modern Honolulu in Hawaii!
Floyd was very familiar with the area, and knew all the perfect spots for beautiful photos. He was calm and patient the whole time, which helped with my wedding day nerves!
Floyd took pictures before the ceremony, during, and after. He captured all the family and friend shots we needed, and we were left with plenty of time for creative, artistic, and romantic shots as well. I didn’t realize how lovely they would be until I saw them. He really has a great eye for an amazing shot.
I especially loved that the photos do not look staged or cliché — he created lovely images that capture the beauty of our location and the excitement and elegance of the wedding day.
Floyd’s patience, professionalism, skill, and artistic eye were very much appreciated. Everyone who has seen the wedding photos loves them. I highly recommend him and would certainly hire him again.

This review is long overdue but here nonetheless. I found Floyd on Unilocal (of course) as well as 2 other photographers. After viewing their online portfolios, Floyd’s work stood out the most as classy and modern with the magazine style photos which is what I was looking for. I immediately e-​mailed him and got a response within the next day. I was ecstatic that I was able to book my first choice and just as ecstatic that he was prompt with his responses.
We got married at the Royal Hawaiian and Floyd knew that place like the back of his hand. He chose amazing spots for us indoors considering it rained the day of our wedding and the pictures turned out gorgeous despite the gloomy backdrop we were handed that day. He captured amazing moments that make you go «ooooh» and «awwww» and seeing the photos helped me relive the night that seemed to go faster than I would’ve imagined. My only regret is that I didn’t book him longer, even though 1 week prior I already extended him by an additional hour. Nevertheless, Floyd spent every second working. Not once did I see him sitting down or wandering off. I even saved a seat and the full dinner for him to enjoy, but being the professional he is, he continued to work through dinner to make sure he didn’t miss any meaningful moments.
Thank you Unilocal for another GREAT find and thank you Floyd for amazing photos. Definitely 5 star worthy.

My husband and I chose Floyd as our wedding photographer. Planning our wedding from out of state, Floyd made it easy for us to plan prior to the wedding. He was very easy to communicate with and get in touch with via email and text. I planned the wedding myself and Floyd was so helpful with providing feedback on the timeline based on his experience. On the day of the wedding, Floyd was calm and easy going. He did a great job with making us feel comfortable during our shoot. He chose awesome locations around the resort that I would never have thought of. Floyd captured so many amazing shots during our ceremony and reception. We couldn’t be happier!

I was looking on Unilocal for a photographer in Hawaii to take our family pictures and I came across Floyd, I emailed him immediately because I was impressed with his work. My husband and I have been taking family photos every year ever since we had kids and we wanted something different this time, we wanted to take candid style photos. Floyd got back to me immediately and answered all my question.
It didn’t take long for us to get our pictures and we LOVED every single one of them. We couldn’t be any happier. Floyd, captured exactly what we have been looking for in our family photos, thank you for capturing our happy moments as a family. It makes me so happy :-) So glad that we found you.

My wife and I chose iFloyd for both our engagement and wedding photos last year. We chose the 8 hour package, and after getting our photos, my only regret was not spending a bit extra to do the 10 hour package.
We were amazed at how well Floyd was able to capture the entire day. He seemed to be invisible during the prep, ceremony, and reception, yet everything was captured, seemingly from the best angle possible.
Bottom line: I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Floyd to any of my friends or family that needs a wedding photographer.

Five stars well deserved! We recently went back home to Hawaii and we decided to take some family pictures. Did some research and found iFloyd and liked his work so I booked a session. He responds to any questions in a timely manner. He captured great candids, which I was really hoping for! Couldn’t be happier with our pictures :-)

Floyd did an amazing job at capturing the «Kodak» moments and making our pictures look so natural and romantic. You could never tell how awkward my fiancé and I were while taking the pictures. This was our first photo shoot and Floyd did a good job at making us feel comfortable and guiding us through the shoot (where to stand, where to look, etc). His excellent choice of locations made for beautiful photos. He’s also flexible on what side of the island you would like to have the shoot. We couldn’t be any happier with our photos and will be asking Floyd to also be our photographer for our civil ceremony. He books fast so make sure to schedule your photo shoot with him long in advance!

Used iFloyd for my family portraits last year that we had booked several months prior. Im happy to say that he was able to capture some good individual portraits of each parent with our daughter as we requested. We were going through a divorce so it didnt make his job easy because there was definitely some awkwardness and tension between us and we both still got really awesome pictures with our daughter.
I have recommended iFloyd Photography several times and will continue to do so.

High quality and easy going photographer. He makes taking photos real easy and less awkward especially for someone who isnt photogenic like myself. My engagement photos looked amazing. Floyd was super easy to work with. With only a few email exchanges everything happened perfectly the day of the wedding. He was laid back and very professional and of course took amazing photos! Would recommend him to anyone getting married in Hawaii or anywhere in the world!

We were so happy and honored to have Floyd photograph our wedding. We were married on Kauai and the photographer selection is much more limited than other islands. I was very excited to hear that Floyd was willing to travel. He is one of the kindest souls you will meet, his lighting is perfect and he has a great eye. We were impressed by his professionalism, yet he made us feel comfortable being in front of the camera. When we received our photos, we were blown away by his presentation. We received an engraved thumb drive and special keepsake box made out of Koa wood. We had many more photos than we signed up for and all of them were great! We are definitely going to follow up with a family photo some day when we are able to make it back to the islands. Thank you Floyd for fulfilling all our hopes and wishes!

There’s nothing I could say that hasn’t already been said about Floyd in the reviews below but in a nutshell, he’s great! He was super responsive, and on our wedding day, he was so professional, friendly and really made me and everyone feel at ease. Above all else, he was just so nice!!! They say one of the most important things is to make sure you have a photographer you get along well with. Since we were doing a destination wedding, we never got the chance to meet Floyd before our wedding. But as soon as he stepped in the room, I could already tell he would be great. He made us feel completely comfortable in front of the lens! He was so flexible with his packages and always accommodating with our needs.
He even turned around a few photos for us within a few days so we could get our thank you cards out quickly. So glad to have gone with Floyd!

Doing wedding vendor research from 2,000 miles away was a difficult task. So before I made any «serious» inquires, the companies I would consider had to meet the following criteria:
1) have a well developed website showcasing recent works
2) have good/​great reviews on various sites and
3) answer my inquires in a timely manner (email worked best for me since I work 8 – 5 Monday — Friday so, all of my communication had to be done in the evening via email).
Additionally, my husband and I were on a budget and like most, we wanted to make sure we were getting the most bang for our buck. Floyd’s quality of work was comparable, if not better, than some vendors whose rates were twice as high.
Overall, Floyd exceeded all of my expectations behind the scenes and he surely proved to be the best choice for us on our big day. He was professional, kind, and a pleasure to work with.
Of course, it did help that he is a Niners fan, but I’m jus sayin’. ;)

My wife and I looked through a lot of photographers and when we came upon Floyd and his work, we immediately wanted to work with him. We saw what he’s done in the past and he definitely fit the criteria that we were looking for. All of his suggestions were spot on aesthetically and we are very happy with the results! I googled Hawaii wedding photographers and found Floyd’s website. I immediately loved his work and inquired prices for an engagement shoot. I was pleasantly surprised to find him extremely affordable (especially with how amazing his quality of work is). My husband and I aren’t exactly «comfortable» in front of the camera, but Floyd made it a breeze. He had us do some posed shots and some candid shots. They all turned out beautiful. So, of course, we hired him for our wedding.
Our wedding pictures turned out more than beautiful. I have a big, crazy, Filipino family who all wanted pictures on their cameras as well, and Floyd was very patient and professional. The reception ran later than expected, but Floyd kindly stayed until the reception was over. I definitely recommend him to anybody looking for a photographer.

Floyd knew exactly what we wanted! I just gave him the gist of how we wanted our photos to look and some ideas and he produced exactly that & more. From our engagement photos to our wedding photos, he had captured such great photos for us. And we didn’t even try, we didn’t need to pose or anything (I thought that would be awkward) but he made us feel so comfortable (like he’s not even there) and so naturally «in-​love». We love every photo/​every moment he captured for us!

My wife and I decided to have a destination wedding on the beautiful island of Oahu. The biggest challenge we had was looking for a local wedding photographer who would meet all of our needs. My wife is a certified wedding planner and I’m a professional wedding photographer, so our standards were set really HIGH!
After reviewing dozens of photographers, we finally came across iFloyd Photography on some random search. We were looking for a someone who was down to earth and knew how to take candid life style photos. We really wanted someone who was passionate about their work! Floyd was our guy!

Floyd was awesome to work with. He took our engagement photos and wedding photos. He’s so laidback but very prompt with emails and photos. Other vendors I contacted on the island took days if not weeks to respond. Not ok for a bride!
Floyd responded quickly and was very accommodating of what poses I liked and didn’t like. And the result… beautiful!
He has a very «fly on the wall» approach. When I looked at the photos, I was like «where was he when he took that?» I think that gave the most intimate and candid photos which were my absolute favorite.
Best part: he is VERY reasonably priced for the amazing work you get.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for contemporary yet timeless and romantic photos.
