Excellent local food. Food court location is convenient, just not gorgeous. Put this place on the water or something and it’s 5 stars for sure

Staff is so unfriendly. I didn’t even eat here. I made the mistake of using their soda machine to fill my cup from the establishment next door to them. The Asian lady started yelling at me while I’m on the phone so I hung up the phone to see what she was yelling about. She tells me its their soda machine. I asked her if I should dump it out and she starts yelling she wanted the establishment next door that I ordered from to pay for it. Than she goes on yelling she was going to call her manager. I told her she didn’t have to be so rude and it wasn’t a big deal if I paid for it. The soda was only $ 1.98. I’ve never eaten here but I can say that I will NEVER eat here because of that rude employee.

I used to love eating from this place but they had closed for awhile at this location. Not sure if new ownership but since they’ve reopened the food is pretty horrible! I ordered my son a turkey platter and the turkey was so dry it tasted terrible! The supposed stuffed was either just crunchy or soggy bread crumbs with no taste! I spent $ 13.00(it was $ 2 more for all white meat) and didn’t even eat ¼ of it and had to dump it. The staff here is also not very friendly and can barely speak English.

Late review but nonetheless you consumers need to know. This particular I Love Country Café is located in the second floor of The Mall Of Pearl Harbor on Bougainville Dr. Although it located in a military only establishment, the food court is open to the public. They have an assortment of items to choose from. From breakfast to lunch/dinner entrees to desserts. The portions are enough for 2 – 3 people but of course they don’t tell you that. I ordered the Fried Saimin which cost $ 9.50. It was pretty tasty. Just the right amount of spices and vegetables were aldante(to the crisp). I was only able to eat half. I saved the rest for later. The staff were polite and very helpful although there may be a language barrier with those taking the orders. Just ask them to speak slowly. The dining are is shared with the other food eateries in the food court. The dining area is very well kept and trash emptied frequently. A very good experience. If you are in the area and have an appetite, the stop by and experience it for yourself.

Bland waste of money. French toast, eggs Benedict and eggs and sausage were all very bland and the toast was cold which made melting the cold butter on the toast very difficult(since they do not put anything on the toast). I don’t plan to give it another chance.

The only reason they get two stars is because of their friendly service. Other than that the food isn’t great. Barely even good imo at least. I had the lechon kawali and the meat stuck to the roof of my mouth and teeth which in my experience is due to bad quality and/or being frozen too long in conjunction with high temp deep fry from being frozen. The plate was flavorless and the textures were off for such a simple dish. My wife had the phở and didn’t get a much better experience. On top of that we spent 27 dollars on two plates and two drinks which even for Hawaii is ridiculous for a fast food joint with small portions. Needless to say this is our last meal there.

Staff is not very friendly. Very hard to hear or understand what they’re saying half the time. Foos is less than average. Rice is mushy. Huge no no.

The food is sub par, even for mall food. The overpriced«orange juice» they offer with breakfast is actually off-brand Tang. Save your money and eat at one of the restaurants outside the NEX.

We go to the NEX every Sunday and every time I order from this place I’m never satisfied but always try to give this place a chance and order different things. Today I ordered a small portobello lasagna and my garlic bread was larger than my lasagna! The taste was terrible(again) and I vow to never eat here again.

Today we had lechon kawali. It was really good. The meat was crunchy. And the rice was tasty. It just took a really long time. I’m a big fan of eggs benedicts. I had their corned beef eggs benedicts. It was alright. It lacked some flavor so I had to add my own salt. Their Thai tea boba is good to end your meal.

3 stars because their lechon kuwale is delicious and their deserts. Everything else lacks flavor such as their garlic butter shrimp, pastas, and pork and chicken adobos. Their portions are smaller, they put more rice/sides than the actual dish.

Omg! We decided to get out of the heat and chose NEX food court. Me and my husband decided to get dinner from I Love Country Café. I had the turkey, all white and he had the meatloaf. I was looking forward to the stuffing and to my dismay all I got was bread cubes. Wth?! My nephew said«wow, they gave you croutons?» I told him that it WAS supposed to be stuffing. I’m very disappointed, I paid $ 12.95 + tax for some dry turkey, bread cubes, yucky mashed potatoes & salad greens(the only thing decent on the plate). Never again shall I go, lots of other eating places to go to. This place USED to be good. What happened???

I’ve heard people talk about this place being good, so on a recent visit to the NEX food court, I thought I’d give it a try. There are a variety of foods to enjoy from burgers/sandwiches, wraps, pastas, plate lunches, and salads. Breakfast is served all day. They also offer different kinds of drinks such as Orange Bang, Thai Milk Tea, bubble drinks(with tapioca balls), and smoothies. I was drawn to this place because of the seafood club sandwich that I saw in a picture on their menu. I noticed that it wasn’t only on the menu, so I inquired about whether I could get a ‘small’ like all the other types of club sandwiches that they offered. She said that they didn’t offer a ‘small version, so I opted out because there was no way I was going to finish a regular on my own. I then decided on getting the stir-fry tofu. This at least had the option of getting a small or a regular. The small plate came with two scoops of rice and the stir-fry tofu. They offer brown rice, which I was glad to hear. Overall, this place is good. Nothing to rave about, but just simple food. It seems a little over priced for the quality of the food, though. It’s a good place to go if you want a healthier option from the abundance of fast food type of eateries in the food court.

This country café is located in the Nex food court on the second floor. My hubby and I decided to grab some breakfast before the store opened. I ordered a kailua pork eggs benedict with potatoes. I didn’t have high expectations, but I did expect my food to be hot at least. Turned out my pork was at least two days old and had been reheated a couple of times on the skillet. Hollandaise sauce was thin and runny with potatoes that were half cold and lukewarm. The only thing that was half decent and edible was the poached eggs. The buttered toast was ok. This was my first time eating here and it might just be the last unless my honey revisits. There are other choices such as, Popeyes, Charlie subs, and McDonald’s that were open for breakfast. Maybe I can encounter a better experience to start my day.

I usually enjoy I Country Café. Stopped here for breakfast and the hubby had the Loco Moco. He said it wasn’t the best when I had a taste at the end of the meal. Turns out, I could smell the hamburger meat when taking a bite and it was sour. No wonder it wasn’t that good. I took it to the counter to let them know. The cook says sometimes things are added to the meat, and the manager seems to not know how to cook to know the difference. That seems to be a problem if they don’t know when hamburger meat goes bad and the distinct smell it releases and how it tastes. Quality is based on people. Mistakes happen because of people. We did not ask for anything in return since the loco Moco is already in my hubby’s belly. Hopefully there is no bad bacteria in it to cause more of a problem. I made it clear that they need to check their meat and make sure it doesn’t happen again. I hope they get it right.

Customer service is down. They used to be good but now it just ruins your appetite. Prices got higher and the portions got smaller. You’re not getting your money’s worth anymore. I guess their capacity for courtesy is selective. Two customers after me were non locals and they received the same crappy tone from Juan Qin. I’m local but that didn’t matter. She, Juan Qin, really needs customer service training. They lost 2 stars for small portions, poor customer service and higher prices. Not going to eat from this place again. There’s no love from I Love Country Café.

A place that serves breakfast for the entire day is a good place in my book! Also, sweet bread French toast was OFFTHECHAIN!!! Not a fan of the eggs and bacon, tastes like fish and I’m allergic to fish…

It’s expensive now! Before they closed a breakfast sandwich would cost me a little less than $ 5 now, its almost $ 10! The portion size and cost do not match! How can a mini be .50 less than a regular size plate/salad and then be a quarter the size of the regular size plate/salad. I was so excited about their reopening that I was extremely disappointed in their lack of savings and lack of customer service.

I love country is a my favorite place to grab a meal when I feel like going healthy. This is the best alternative to the other fast food options at the NEX food court. I normally opt to share a tuna avocado sandwich with Swiss cheese and French fries. The sandwich alone is $ 8.75, fries $ 2.50 but when you break down the cost… It isn’t too bad. Especially since its loaded with veggies, it’s not your average tuna sandwich. I look forward to eating this at least once a month. The other items I tend to order are: 1) furikaki mahi(later changed to furikaki fish of the day) the regular plate is $ 10.95, it comes with 4 pieces of fish, 2 scoops of white or brown rice, stir fry mixed vegetables, and 2 slices of lemon. I generally tend to stay away from fish, but I like how this one is prepared and it tastes really yummy. Drench the lemons all over it and you’re set. 2) grilled chicken breast with fresh papaya salsa. The regular plate is $ 10.75 and comes with white or brown rice and toss or Mac salad. The portion is decent and you get one small portion cup of the salsa. With the amount of chicken they give though 2 cups would be ideal. The chicken isn’t too flavorful so the salsa is necessary. I’ve been on a hunt for healthy take out food, I’m not quite ready for«down to earth», or the other establishments that are similar to them just yet, so for now this is a great start and with an extensive menu you will be able to find at least one thing you will keep coming back for.

ALERTALERT: For all of us struggling to find healthy options when dining out, GOHERE! This is the remnants of the café on Piikoi which I have heard closed after a fire. This is now located in the Pearl Harbor Mall Food Court. You do not need military access to visit the food court. First of all, for a «Fast food» place, this is the cheesecake factory of counter ordering. You have a ridiculous amount of options. Pre– watching my diet, I would always go for their turkey plate. Never again do you have to wait for thanksgiving to have roast turkey with cranberry sauce. Most recently I’ve discovered the body builder special. For us trying to eat clean: this is unheard of heaven. Poached Chicken, Steamed Veggies, Brown Rice with Peanut Sauce & Greek Vinaigrette. I asked for double veggies instead of the rice. The portion is big enough for a body builder. For us normals, I split it into two huge meals. Why the 4 star review? They charge for literally everything. Even if you are eating there, ask for your meal to go, unless you want to pay the charge for a box. Order water at the register or they will charge you for asking for a glass later. I know times are tough, but this seems a little extreme in my opinion.
