My obsession with boba started back in 2003 when I was an intern with USC. 13 years later and my obsession is just as strong as it was back then. This gem is located in the NEX food court. When I’m In the area, I always stop here for my fix. I usually get the pineapple/mango or honeydew with boba. I absolutely don’t have a single complaint. Service is fast and the workers are always nice and they greet you with a smile.

Great drinks. Customer service is really bad. The older lady(think she’s a manager) reprimands her employees in front of customer. This is my 3rd time here and I have witnessed this. Had other bad experiences but I keep coming back because the drinks are great

Tried their strawberry smoothie with mochi balls($ 5.18 for a small) and IMHO it’s actually better than their original location in Mapunapuna(Moanalua 99 building). The ladies here are friendlier too. Located in the Navy Exchange Food Court, second floor near the elevators. You do not need a military ID to buy a refreshing smoothies or shave ice. They also have mochi balls as an add-on(50 cents extra) which is great for those who believe that boba contains cancer-causing chemicals. :)

Conveniently located in the NEX food court… No military ID required to grab a sweet treat from this place! Can’t decide on what to order? If you have a sweet tooth like me, I highly recommend their blue vanilla blended drink: vanilla ice cream blended with blue vanilla syrup… So simple but so good! Adding boba and lychee compliments this drink so well :)

Overpriced boba drinks that taste just ok. The service we received was great. The cashier seemed like she genuinely enjoyed her job and is really personable! Behind her was the hardworking«barista.» I ordered the regular sized mocha caramel drink with whip cream and boba. The drink came out to about $ 5 – 6 and was okay. I liked the drink itself but I don’t think it was worth as much as I paid for… I also feel like the boba was leftover from the day before, but I could be wrong. Something about the texture of the boba was off to me. Overall, Bee’s Boba Express was just okay. Personally, I’d skip it.

I give this place 3 stars because they definitely have great boba and refreshing treats. But their customer service is horrible. After ordering a regular sized boba drink, my friend next to me told me that the large was only $ 0.50 more. So I asked if i could have the large instead and the girl rolled her eyes at me. And I said never mind and she walked away to make my drink.(This was be first time I went) the second time I visited a few days later, and a different girl told me that they weren’t accepting credit cards, I took out cash and finished my order and the girl handed me my change and looked at me with a straight face and walked away. No smile, no thank you, no I’ll call you when it’s ready. Not a word

Based on such good rating, I decided to give this a try. I was extremely dehydrated and went for a smooth drink and tried a classic milk tea with boba. It was not what I was expecting, and maybe it’s just my taste buds. My sister decided to get a matcha milk tea and it was a lot sweeter. On a side note, the weather is humid and I was hoping for an ice cold drink but I took a first sip and it was warm :( Their ice cream is pretty good though. ((Green tea and mango))

Decided to try this place today and let me says my boba craving was very much satisfied. I had the caramel boba not the frozen blended one but regular. It was sweet and had great amount of pearls. The pearls weren’t mushy or to hard. Really liked my drink I will be going back for sure!!!

Pretty satisfying boba at Bee’s. It’s open to the public inside the NEX around the food court area. Pretty sure its the same as the one inside 99 Ranch. I used to frequent that location whenever I was in town & needed a boba fix. I always get their Taro Coconut –Yumm! During my last visit I switched it up & tried the Almond milk tea. It was good & refreshing. Don’t come here for ice cream though. My son loves ice cream & for some reason he was NOT into the ice cream here. I tried it & it was horrible. Minus 1 star. The texture wasn’t smooth/creamy. tasted like it was sitting there for a while. I don’t know what I was thinking when I decided to get a single scoop for almost $ 4 when there’s other/better ice cream options nearby.

I had been craving shaved ice for quite some time. So my honey and I stopped by the bees boba express kiosk inside the Nex food court. I ordered a regular size green tea matcha shaved ice with azuki bean, mocha ball, green tea ice cream, and condensed milk. He decided to get the mango cup shaved ice. When I received my drink I immediately slurped up the sweet juice through my straw. The ice was not really shaved and soft, but more crushed and hard as if it had been pounded by a hammer. The green tea ice cream was sweet, and creamy. However it left an aftertaste of tea which then tasted weird. The mocha and azuki beans gave it a nice texture and flavor to the condensed milk. But, the green tea cup did lack its smoothness of the traditional Hawaiian shaved ice. I was mostly crunching on hard pieces of ice then it having it melt in my mouth. I’ll try my honeys mango cup next time;)

Surprised to see the name change and menu overhaul from it’s former name as Pearl Delights. I used to love getting this«pineapple with something that made it green» smoothie with boba from Pearl’s. Now it’s Bee’s and I’m wondering if it’s the same as the one located in the 99 Ranch place in Mapunapuna. I ordered the milk tea with mochi balls instead of the boba«black pearls» after I read some suggestions from other Unilocal reviews. It wasn’t that bad. Tasted pretty standard. I had to rip open the plastic film from the top of the cup and scoop out the ice to get to the other mochi balls stuck to the bottom of the cup. Even though it’s located in the food court at the NEX, you don’t need a military ID or be a guest to patron the food court.

Bees, oh Bees, why didn’t I try you sooner? I frequently shop at the NEX, but never really gave boba a second thought because Dairy Queen is in the same food court. And I can’t lie — DQ trumps all. But I decided to give Bees a try, and I’m glad I did! Immediately, almond milk tea caught my eye. Someone behind me in line told me it tasted like almond float, so I went with that. Game changer: It DID taste like almond float! I asked if I could switch out the boba for mochi balls. Please do yourself a favor and do the same thing OR add mochi balls to your drink for the additional 95c. Mochi balls in milk tea seriously gives me life. It’ll give you life too. Can’t wait to try something new the next time I go to the NEX!

It’s basically a smoothie flavored with your favorite tea, then tapioca balls are added. The film on top is pierced with an extra fat straw so you can suck the balls down while on the move. It’s cold, fast, delicious Boba! What’s not to like on a hot day? Not just for the military, open to the public!

Pretty decent boba tea here. We got the banana smoothie joint with the little tapioca balls. Very speedy and definitely wets the whistle. Definitely a proper escape from the Hawaiian heat.

Is there anything I like better than a delicious milk tea boba drink? Yes, one with mochi. I love mochi. I think I was created to consume it. Okay, maybe not, but I do enjoy consuming it a great deal. I wasn’t aware of any other boba place that offers mochi in their drinks other than Kokonuts in Hawaii Kai. So now that I have discovered that Bee’s offers it($.95 extra), I am ecstatic! Bee’s offers an extensive selection of drinks, smoothies, add-ins, toppings and ice creams. The NEX food court just got yummier.

Bee’s is we’re I go for my FAV Milk Tea! I like mines classic and on ice! I’ve also tried their other flavor milk teas like the caramel and almond. My son loves their coconut lychee with strawberry pop and the blue vanilla with mochi balls. I LOVE to go to their 1st and original location in Mapunapuna(99 ranch marketplace) but I’m happy they came closer to where I live with the Bee’s boba express!

Sometimes I wonder if I lived in a cave, because why else would I have deprived myself of boba for all these years? I mean sure, the balls look weird, and before moving here bubble tea shops weren’t on every corner, but I’ll try anything once… WHATTOOKMESOLONG?! My friend told me this place had opened in the NEX just outside the entrance/exit area on the second floor in the food court, and well that’s how my addiction started. Bee’s Boba Express has a HUGE selection of boba to include teas and smoothies. You can choose from bobas, qq, and other selections to add to your drinks. They have one of the largest varieties of drinks I’ve seen to include my newest favorite the thai tea boba. DELICIOUS. They carry two sizes, regular and large and the prices are very reasonable. Service is fast and friendly and they recently began accepting debit/credit. Check it out, but be warned, I’ve had to wean myself off my boba habit, I was starting to develop a bit of a muffin top. :D

To add on to my previous review, they do accept debit and credit cards so it’s no longer cash-only. My favorite is their coconut smoothie boba — it’s like drinking a frozen cup of haupia with tapioca lol. The lychee/coconut combo is too sweet for me but when I asked for just coconut, they were more than happy to make it :) Great customer service!
