Creative Nails

It’s alright. The layout of this place is disastrous! It’s small. I’ve been to smaller nail salons, but if you walk in here it’s like a maze! I have to tip toe past a few chairs and waiting chairs to pick my nail polish color on the wall. Definitely don’t bring younger kids in here.
My lady kept stopping while doing my pedicure to see what her partner was doing. It was annoying. ALSO, they are not very clean!!! The green scrub they use for pedicures. There is a bowl with a spoon in it, and instead of being sanitary and grabbing the spoon out and blotting it on the skin, somehow. Or even replacing the spoon with a new one… They scrape off the green scrub from the spoon with their gloved fingers and just toss the spoon back in! Her hands just touched my feet and there was no sanitizing before it touched the re-​used spoon. They should use squeeze bottles like other salons. When I was about to sit down on the chair there was a huge spot of oil or lotion on the chair. Not a tiny one. And obvious one.
My massage was so half ass because she wasn’t paying attention!!!
They had a great selection of colors, and my nails came alright :)

I’m a frequent at Hawaii Sushi next door, so as I was waiting for my order one day I took a look at the price menu for creative nails. They had some great deals! $ 30 for regular mani/​pedi and $ 45 for gel mani/​reg pedi! That’s a steal! The place seemed pretty busy too, so I trusted my instincts and stopped in. Mai was quick to help me, and get me started on my pedicure. She helped me chose a color which in the end was a great decision! I really enjoyed talking with her, and she was patient with me and kind. I will definitely be back and request her for my services. It’s been hard to find a good regular place to go and this spot my be my new place! Lucky me! Also they have a glorious amount of OPI colors to chose from, and a variety of darker tones, which I usually have a hard time finding at other places.

The pricing is pretty reasonable but I got a nail infection from being cut.

This nail salon is the best! I’ve been going to them for 3 ½ years I refer all of my clients to them. It doesn’t matter who does your nails there everyone is as good as the next one. They are all friendly, and the place is immaculate. I have never had a bad experience and I have received thousands of compliments over the years! Even their waxing services are unbelievable. Christina and her family and staff have definitely raise the bar on nail salons! No appointment necessary this place is definitely a must try! it’s convenient there’s parking there’s plenty of places to eat. They except charge cards the only thing is you must tip in cash. Christina the owner is super sweet and always makes time to fit me in. They are very experienced nail techs. I’ve never had a bad experience and been multiple times!

never knew this place was here… nice surprise… small parking lot… they were busy in there when i walked in but they were able to accommodate me within 10 minutes. I did a pedi with a gel polish… $ 35… about average price for gel… they did a good job… place seemed clean and welcoming :) as any nail place… most of them spoke a little english. but it all worked out :) and i’m happy! :)

What a hidden little gem! Come to Hawaii last week to visit my friend and I’m so glad she told me about this place because it was truly a treat! they really take their time and give you the best service!!! My tech was perfect! Very detail oriented and took her time to make sure everything was perfect! She was extremely patient and gentle! I will be coming back again If I’m in this area! After one week, my nails still look amazing! Thank beautiful girls!

This place is amazing. I did walk-​in and didn’t know what I really wanted. They recommended me getting a deluxe spa pedicure. And it was so worth it. I was very pleasant and impressed as my nails came out. The salon was so great too. They had plenty of space and chairs. They also keep everything so clean and organized. Highly recommended.

I definitely need to remember this for the next time I come back to Hawaii, my first experience at this nail salon was the best! Services here are quite cheap but very high quality, everyone here is so nice and friendly, and the salon is clean, well organized, and well managed, easy 5 stars!

Lena is THE BEST. I have very bad ingrown nails I know TMI. She takes such good care of me. The shop was closed last week to repair a window that was broken I had to go to another salon I will never do that again. Went to Rainbow Nails on Koko head. Absolutely filthy and the worst service. I love creative nails and will never cheat again. Im a Loyal customer

I live right up the road from Creative Nails and come often for mani’s and pedi’s. I recommend getting a deluxe spa pedi as it is the best bang for your buck. They do an excellent job of getting all the dead skin off your feet and restoring them to softness.
Whenever I request a design on my nail they always do a great job in what I’m asking for.
It can get busy on the weekends so if you are short on time either make a apt or come in a week night when things are a little less crazy.
Overall I think they do a great job and would recommend them to any friend.

The first time I came to Creative Nails was about 2 years ago and my experience was good, nothing I would complain about.
I came back after driving by and needing to domesticate my nails. I had a great experience my gel mani was great and my regular pedi was very relaxing. I did happen to read the Unilocal reviews before I came but I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best and I can say I’m very happy I did take my chances.
For my experience I would recommend asking for Danny (mani) and Cindy (pedi)

I’ve been coming here since 2008. Tried go other places but always find my way back here. I won’t let anyone but Christina touch my eyebrows. I come here to get my toes done as well, they take the time. I know most of them and do t have to say what I want done, they already know. Love Love Creative Nails…

This review is a bit late but I felt i should share my story.
Creative Nails WAS a great nail salon. I have been going to this salon for more than 5 years with my mother. Over time, prices increased while the quality decreased.
Recently they changed what is included in their Deluxe Pedicure. The normal pedicure does not include foot scraping anymore. Also, the massages are so lame.
This review is 6 days after i got a mani-​pedi here. My nails are chipped big time. The moment my mother and i left the salon, we looked at our nails. I still had A LOT of extra skin around my nails, it looked like a nail job i could do at home myself. Literally.
I 100% do NOT recommend this place for eyebrow waxing. The last time they did it, my eyebrows were WACK. I promise i had 2 DIFFERENT shapes. They were completely different from each other.
The employees are the typical stuck up vietnamese nail painters. They’re OBVIOUSLY talking smack about you in another language to the other workers. You ask them to do something, they make like they don’t understand you, they roll their eyes, or lie and say they already did, when they really didn’t. For instance, my mother asked the lady if she did something about the ingrown on her toe nail & the lady said yes. Came home and my mother’s toenails were in pain and she realized that she didn’t even do anything about it!

This review is a little late. I stopped by about an hour before closing to get acrylics done. While I could tell it wasn’t something they were excited about I have to say it didn’t affect the work at all. Danny didn’t make me feel rushed and he really took his time to do a quality job. I’ll definitely be back (and not so close to closing, i promise!)

Went in to was my brows and they said the wait was over an hour. There was only 2 people sitting on the pedicure chairs. 3 other workers sitting around on their desk and the wait was over an hour. You’ve got to be kidding me. Mind you they just opened.
They’re work is great! Their customer service sucks!!!

Needed a manicure and was in the area. Walked in and they took me right away. I was pleasantly surprise by the quality of my manicure and the price. I wish I got the technician’s name. I will go back!

Gee, I wish I had read the other reviews. I went here because I was wanting a pedicure and pushed for time and since I was in the neighborhood.
The pedicurist cut me bad TWICE; once on the inside part of the nail and the other time on the inside of my toe. I was saying «auwwww! and she kept going! Now it is infected and sore. It was cheap: only $ 20 but it is going to cost me far more money in antibiotics and perhaps a trip to the doctor for prescription antiobiotics.
I will never to to Creative Nails again.

Love creative nails! They are always very nice and guy there can create almost anything you show him! I just brought him a photo and he made my nails look perfect! The spa pedi with the hot wax followed by a hot towel is to die. And not to mention the ladies there… so sweet, week after week!

While I used to go here a lot, and used to recommend it, I’ve had a few bad experiences here in the last year. I have such a hard time posting something «mean,» so I am not going to go into great detail, but I will say that I’ve had issues with the job that was done, and with the attitudes and treatment of me of some of the staff.
Maybe it’s because I’ve gone so much, and used to live a block away, and therefore seen them all multiple times a day, but I just really didn’t appreciate the way they treated me, especially the last time I went, with a visiting friend. I’m not sure I’ll be going back, and I am currently looking for a new nail place to call mine!
But that’s just my opinion!
