I was seriously nervous about getting a brazilian wax the first time, but Jah was professional, patient and very thorough. She’s also fun and has such a positive vibe, you’ll actually look forward to your appointments.
She’s now located inside Herbologie Studio in Kakaako. This place also has a really positive vibe and smells amazing when they are making soap or lotion in the back.
The best and cost is reasonable enough to keep going regularly. Good find!

Jah is the best and this was the best waxing experience I have ever had! I used to go to Beyond Bare because there was a woman there that was my favorite person ever! But after she left I was so sad and convinced I would never be able to find someone as great as her. However after coming across Waxing by Jah on Unilocal and taking a leap of faith I am convinced this will be my new permanent waxing place! I have a bad tendency of holding out on waxes for way too long cause I hate the pain, which causes them to be more painful, but this was by far the quickest and least painful wax experience I have ever had and Jah was so great! A beautiful soul indeed!

I’ve been going to Jah for a Brazilian wax for several months now and she is nothing short of AWESOME. I’ve never been anywhere else for this type of service so I can’t compare her to anyone, but she hasn’t given me a reason to go elsewhere! She’s always professional, but she also feels like your homegirl, which is of utmost importance to me considering the nature of a Brazilian wax. Her studio is super cute and clean with just the right amount of space. And her competitive rates are a plus!
If you’re wanting to get a Brazilian for the first time but you’re concerned about pain, every person’s pain tolerance is different, and Jah would agree. Personally, I consider my pain tolerance to be very low, but I’ve gone to Jah for the same service multiple times, so I’m obviously just fine. Besides, most people wouldn’t mind a moment of discomfort if the end result makes them feel better about themselves.
The bottom line is Jah is great at what she does, genuinely enjoys what she does, and is just a cool person to spend 15 – 20 minutes of your day with!

Being it was my first Brazilian wax, Jah really set a comfortable atmosphere. It was obvious how nervous I was but she was super sweet and talked me through the entire experience. Environment was completely clean, and professional. It was over within minutes and post-​wax pain was very minimal for me. I highly recommend for first and old timers! Definitely will be back.

I just want to let everyone know that Jah is fantastic! I have been waxed by many different estheticians, and Jah is one of the best. She is very apt at making small talk and making the experience relaxing. She did an excellent job, and moved quickly. We were finished before I knew it. Her spa is really cute and clean, and it has parking!

What can I say about this woman…
*She’s awesome: She really likes what she does and you can tell. She has a great personality and makes you feel comfortable, especially if it’s your first time.
*She knows what she’s doing: While she strikes up a conversation with you, she is doing quality Brazilian work and before you know it, she’s done (after 20 mins).
The place is VERY CLEAN and SERENE.
I had a great experience with Jah and definitely recommend her, especially if you’re looking for someone to do a really clean, quick and THOROUGH Brazilian. She’s the bomb.

Ladies, I recommend all of you to go to this down to earth woman at least ONCE because you’ll love her!
Upon arrival, I came really early. My appt was for 5pm but my bus came early so I got there around 4:45 and texted her that I was outside, and she came to get me.
She is so pretty and sweet!
BTW; she is located INSIDE the Lotus Day Spa, suite 304 :)
When I walked in, I already felt this cool vibe, I knew I was going to be comfortable with her!
Jahmila uses hard wax, not the soft wax with the strips. the hard wax is COMPLETELY PAINLESS! it is kind of like sugaring! It does NOT pull your skin, it pulls hair from the root and it leaves you as smooth as butter! lol
Oh and if you’re wondering if «double-​dipping» is involved, IT IS NOT! She uses a different applicator each time, and she wears gloves! Her room is also clean, shes very sanitary!
She is also super quick! I think i flinched only once! (im a wuss, so if i could handle, all ya’ll could handle!) but she applies pressure to the area so it helps calm the pain :)
We were talking the whole time, which kind of distracted me from the waxing, so it wasn’t bad at all.

LOVE. I can only speak from my experience, but I’ve had brazilians done all over the world from ecuador to manila to New york etc. etc. but my experience at body waxing by jah has hands down been the BEST, least painful experience so far.
Jahmila was super nice. She made me feel so comfortable (in a very authentic way) and did an excellent job even on my eyebrows… and she was quick! I was extremely pleased with the results and my experience… then she gave me the 50% discount for new customers (which I had no idea about) — WOW. I wish I didn’t have to return to NY so I could be a regular customer here. If youre in honolulu, you have to see her. Jahmila was a great find! Her office is in an office on the 3^rd floor of a walk up, so keep that in mind when thinking about footwear. It was clean, and peaceful, and she is very friendly too. I like the hard wax that she used, it was much nicer than strip-​waxing. I think it’s even lasted longer than strip-​waxing!
All in all, I would recommend her!

I had my waxing appoint with Jahmila today and it was awesome! When I first got to the building, parking was busy but there were a few open stalls. You will need to walk up the stairs to get to the third floor. I arrived about 5 minutes early and the door was locked. I texted her I was here and she answered the door immediately.
If it’s your first time, you will need to fill out and sign a short form. After that, let the waxing begin! She is super cool and easy to talk. even though there is talking involved, she was still very focused and finished in a timely manner. She does accept credit cards and cash.
I’m definitely becoming her regular customer! Go check her out!

I have no words to describe the AMAZING experience I had at Body Waxing by Jah. Being of North Indian Descent, I am used to the waxing process and procedures but never have I felt more comfortable or at ease than I did here! Jahmila is absolutely amazing! She is very professional, friendly and informative throughout the entire process but what made my experience even more great was how warm of a person she is. Going for a waxing procedure can be a very personal experience and being able to go to someone who makes you feel comfortable and at ease is Priceless!
She made me feel like I’d known her forever and talked to me the entire time she was waxing me that I didn’t even realize when she done.
