We had our friends Christmas party was a nice place, to bad u can’t bring in your own soft drinks though but overall room was nice and drinks were tasty also :) I also attended a bachelorette party here this past Saturday and it turned out great as well:)

This place isn’t bad, but the hostess was pretty rude. We made a reservation and were late because dinner took longer than we thought. The hostess came into our room and reprimanded us for being late. She told us we cost them business and they had to turn an other group away because of us. I apologized. I get that all of that is true, but I’d rather they just turn us away than take us to our room and then scold us before we sang. It was my birthday, and I spent the rest of the night feeling like a jerk. Don’t think businesses should make customers feel that way.

First time ever having a karaōke night in my entire life. LMAO.
I’m not a townie, so I had a hard time finding this place.
However it’s actually really easy to find. It’s in the same building as Ichiriki, but on the back side with a small parking lot. Parking lot is tight, but that’s typical for town.
So the whole reason we came here was mostly for the infamous rainbow shots. We ordered the twelve shots and I was disappointed. Although it was amusing to watch the shots be poured and form a rainbow, the alcohol level was SOOOOO low. If you want a kick from the alcohol, then the blue shot is the best bet. Every other color is basically juice lol.
The private room we had was fine. Clean. Spacious enough for 10 people to sit comfortably, but not even the slightest bit room for us to all stand up and dance around. Service was so-​so. We were there from 830−1130pm. The first half of our stay, the server was prompt and kind to check up on us; fast to respond to service button. As it got later, service slowed down as the crowd picked up outside (which is understandable). Servers still friendly and no signs of rudeness.
As far as I know, song choice was good. I didn’t do any of the song picking but my friends found lots of songs that we all knew. Current songs to a few oldies.
Only giving 3 stars solely based on the expectation of the rainbow shots.
For the most part I did have a good experience though!

The location is a bit hard to find if you are not familiar with the area. The parking is also extremely tight so if you drive a big car or a fancy one, you are better off parking somewhere else. Also, don’t forget to pay for parking before you go up. There is a little station on the side under the stairs right next to the restaurant’s back door. The room itself is nice and spacious to accomadate those who like to dance and sing. There is no food served here; which in my book doesn’t pass. How are we supposed to drink without pupu’s? Then again I can understand those who want to bring their own so they can save some money on that. Its a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀. The songs choices, volume and lyrics for the most part are by far the best I have ever seen. All of the newest songs and yet the oldies but goodies too. The one thing that let me down was the service. The waitress who handled the party I attended basically had her tray handed to her. I did feel bad but we as customers shouldn’t have to hold back our demands either. I felt she lacked proper training and the right support system to help buss her empty glasses and fulfill her requests. I later heard she «shushed» one of our friends who was simply asking where the bathroom was while she was writing down as order. As a waitress of almost 10 years, thats totally a no-​no.

This review is long overdue! Been here multiple times and it has never let me down! Contrary to some reviews about the service, the workers have always been on top of things (or maybe we’re having too much fun to notice the response time) but that’s what the point is, right? Depending on how busy the night is, it could be faster to head over to the bar yourself. You really can’t blame them, it gets crazy in there!
Just took my coworkers over on a Friday night, for most of them it was their first times and definitely not their last. And, be sure to check their website for birthday and celebration deals! You’re allowed to decorate the rooms and bring your own food. Totally worth it. (Also got a free birthday shot from the owner herself!) She really knows what she’s doing. (:
The rooms were always clean and they’ll brief you through the system if it’s your first time. Their song selection is okay, some new, some old, a lot of Asian! (Reason why this review is missing a star) but hey, for not having to pay a dollar per song, you can’t complain!
This is my go to place for a night out. Even if you don’t book a room, the lounge is not a bad place to be!

First Timer and I will be coming back!
What an awesome time my girls & I had. We rented out a private room and it was surprisingly modern, clean, and spacious. The room came with a super modern and fun touch computer screen to choose songs and two wireless microphones.
The servers were very friendly, stopping by every hour (even if we hadn’t pressed the call button) to see if we wanted any more drinks. There were times though when we would press the button for service and no one would stop by so we had to try again a few minutes later.
The song selection was not bad but there were few songs that I would have liked to see as an option. They have a large selection of old and New, you should have seen me when I saw they had Iris by Goo Goo Dolls. Downfall they didn’t have Sam Smith…
I highly recommend you guys go online and check out their website for any rules because they do have age restrictions on certain nights, no outside drinks, but yes to outdoor food.

Good place for drinks and fun. Up-​to-​date music selection. Would have rated 4 stars but our server Stacie was awesome. Me and my friends were a large group and she managed us easily. She was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Stacie kept good tabs all night and we didn’t have any problems with our bills. We will be back.

I can understand why service was rated really poorly here.
However, I feel like if you wanted to be more attended to, this isn’t the right place to select.
If you’re just looking to throw back a few drinks and sing terribly off key with some friends, and you’d rather experience a more contemporary setting, this would be the right choice.
If the employees were more affable and lively, it’d definitely create a better atmosphere for the business. So it’s really unfortunate that it is the opposite of that.
I think I’d rather go back to our old karaōke dive, where it’s byob, kind of sketchy, with limited parking.

Pretty fun/​decent place. We went on a Thursday night, so lack of service that everyone was complaining about on here — not an issue. We were there in time for the Happy Hour prices, which was a nice bonus. You can bring in your own food, but you must buy your drinks here.
The only thing I didn’t really like is really just a personal preference of mine, and that is: I prefer the books of songs vs. the computer screen. Ok, so I’m old school. But I like having a book to sit back and leisurely peruse to find a song that I want to sing. This place has computer screen that you pretty much have to go stand in front of your group (kind of blocking the screen) while you find a song.
Parking here is tight and its a pay lot with a cash box.

Service sucked big time. Even with the service-​call button. We buzzed that thing so many times and still we had to wait long. Regardless if it’s busy, handle that!
Watch out for their «policy» on an automatic 18% gratuity. Remember, you tip how much YOU think is deserved, not because you have more than 6 people in your party. Talk about a $ 240 tip! But we handled that, kuhz we country!
Their song selection suck. There aren’t many oldies and even current or recent songs. A lot of KPOP tho if you can sing it. Oh, no Filipino songs either. YOW!
Overall, we spent a lot of money for shitty service and a shitty time. Not coming back!

Ok i reviewed this originally when drunk. Now that I’m sober I can give better review.
Bads– Music is too loud or too low, rarely a «sweet spot» for volume, can’t turnoff the musical lyrics, no echo, ok rooms, and they wouldn’t give us water to drink at the end after 2 (we asked and they said unable to giveout after 2am. The worst part is that people cannot add songs unless they come to 1 central screen, which does not encourage shy singers, and the screen is super sensitive and kept cancelling by accident.
Good– Otherwise good service, drinks are ok,.
I’d probably not return just cuz I’d want to see how the others are. I think there r better options out there. 2 stars for facilities,/karaōke system and 3 stars for good service.

My first time here was for a work Christmas party, and I’ve been here one more time after that (plans that night were made by a friend). Rooms are nice and clean, and the music selection is vast (there were some oldies I wish were available like Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believing’). I also like how you have the option to bring in your own food.
My biggest grip would be the service. For both times I’ve been here, we’ve had private rooms. During our first visit, our waitress barely came into the room and so many of us would just go to the bar to grab drinks. Before we knew it, ALL of us just hung out near the bar instead of in our own private room. Kind of a waste to get a room that night in my opinion.
The second time we were here, our waitress did check on us more than the first time, however, her visits were very brief. There were a good number of times when we had to chase after her before she walked out the door because she didn’t notice us calling out to her with our hands up (mind you the room we were in wasn’t that big). Then, our waitress didn’t come in to check on us for a good hour. And so, once again, we ended up having to make multiple trips to the bar.

(do not bring confetti or glitter because we made an embarrassing mess, I am so sorry!)
Kylee went out of her way to make sure we had a kid friendly Disney song selection!
Modern technology (wireless mics, touchscreen song selection, great sound system)
Tips/​notes for guests:
I should have booked an extra hour or two because it was so much fun!
We booked the party from 3−6pm and I should have booked from 1−6pm.
A 50% deposit was needed to book and this was done in person at Air Park Karaōke.
Make sure you learn how to use the equipment at the time your deposit is made.
This is NOT something you want to learn on the day of your party***
Learn how to use the touch screen, make your song selections, how to easily search artists and power on/​off/​mute mics as it can be very confusing and you will want to be able to show your guests.
We booked the Lounge, Large Room & Small Room and had about 40 – 50 guests.
We had a great time! Everyone was polite, kind, helpful and courteous even though we were rowdy! Thank you Kylee and Airpark Karaōke for helping us throw our daughter «The best birthday ever!»

I came here for the first time this past Sunday and had a really nice time! It’s a cute little spot and feels a little artsy to me. I was part of a party of 5. We were in the room that fits up to 9. It did seem a little small to fit 9. Maybe they gave us a smaller room when they learned that our group was smaller than 9. It’s a little more complicated looking for songs than your traditional «binder» style, as you have to get acclimated to using their computer monitor touch screen system. There were a good number of songs that we couldn’t find, but still an extensive selection. It was a bummer that the touch screen monitor is only in one corner and stationary. We had to have just one person looking up all the songs which was the person next to the monitor. It would be more convenient if they had a remote tablet that could be passed around in addition to the stationary one in the corner.
It was great that we could bring in our own food, but they don’t allow you to bring in any drinks. You must purchase drinks from the bar. There is a waitress-​call button in the room. I must say that when you push the button, they come very quickly. I would definitely go back there again when looking for a fun thing to do!

You have to give it up to Air Park Karaōke for being low-​key awesome. It’s such a chill spot for anyone looking to end their long work day on a high. They’re open all days of the week, in the late afternoon up until 2 a.m.
This is conveniently located across the street from the Ala Moana Center and next to Ginza Nightclub. I can say the parking can get a little hectic during the evenings, more so on the weekends, but once you do have a space it’s $ 1 per hour.
The lounge itself is comfortable and classy. Blue and red cushions line the walls of all of the rooms, including the community Karaōke area. Speaking of, the karaōke — and it’s surprisingly updated machines — come with the room so definitely make use of what you’re paying for and the time that you’re there. ‘Asian’ songs are abundant (can’t tell of what language, but they’re definitely not English), and as far as Filipino songs are concerned I haven’t found them as of yet.
Service is on point. I can’t tell you how much patience some of these employees have with the tons of requests coming from in from each of the rooms. They’re definitely working hard for the money (or who knows, maybe what they do isn’t really work for them).
I recommend this place, and it’s definitely up there with my other favorite Karaōke Bar (anonymous, for the sake of this review). On a final note, if any of you know when they’re updating to Filipino songs, please let me know!

We came here tonight to sing some karaōke. We didn’t know what to expect since it was our first time here but the workers were very pleasant and patient with us. We got a room for a few hours and ordered some drinks but ended up extending several times and ordering several more drinks lol. It’s a great place to come to especially if you want a change from krazy karaōke! We will definitely be back again! We also got a free half hour with Unilocal check in!

For my friend’s bachelorette party, we decided to have a girls night at Air Park Karaōke, and we were not disappointed.
The employees here are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. At one point, we needed to hang some decorations from the ceiling. Being that I was the tallest of the group (standing at a whopping 5’4″ :P), we couldn’t reach the ceiling even with the stepping stool they let us borrow… so they had one of their male workers help us. :) At the end of the night, they said that whatever decorations we weren’t saving, we could leave it and they would clean it up. We had quite a bit of decorations up on the walls. As a side note, I can’t remember her name, but our cocktail waitress for the night was AWESOME!
The private rooms here are very clean and up-​to-​date for a fair price. There were no rips and/​or tears in the couches like other karaōke places I’ve been to. Their system is all digital (done through a touch screen monitor), and they even have a call button whenever you want/​need something from your cocktail waitress.
The only «complaint» I have would be that they don’t have the «greatest» selection of songs. There was a decent selection to keep us happy (which is why they still get 5 stars), but we noticed there were quite a few songs that we couldn’t find.
Unless you find street parking, you have to pay for parking (if I can remember correctly, I think it was only $ 5 for a few hours). And if you don’t get there early, I noticed that parking can be a bit hard to find since the lot is small and shared with a few other businesses.

«Don’t judge a book by it’s cover» is definitely the rule of thumb here. From the outside, where only their banner reading «Air Park Karaōke» can be seen, it doesn’t seem like much but once you walk up those stairs you’ll enter a hip, large, 11-​roomed karaōke lounge unlike no other in Hawaii!
Day/​Time: Saturday night, reservations for 20 people, 10pm to closing (2am)
Parking/​Location:
Located on Kona street, near Ginza (night club if you’re young enough to have gone there, like myself) and up the stairs, above Ichiriki Restaurant from the back side, you’ll find APKL. I scored free parking on Kapiolani Blvd and decided to walk over. I walked aimlessly, following my GPS where I ended up near shady characters on Kona street and turned around eventually finding APKL. It can be pretty sketchy at night in this area so ladies, be careful! Once I found the place the chill bouncer informed me that they do have a medium sized parking, lot at the bottom of the stairs of APKL, that goes for $ 1/​hour.
Atmosphere:
Talk about high tech! So high tech that I struggled with using the touch screen display to find songs and I consider myself tech savy! There were two microphones provided and all the songs that do have a music video are played along with their actual music video. Other then that, the rooms and lounge were clean-​ish but then again my standard of clean is Nocturna Lounge (which is spotless!), but nonetheless it was acceptable. They have an individual female restroom which can cause a wait but luckily they have more restrooms out the door, down the stairs.
Service:
Our cocktail waitress was chill. She was working multiple rooms but informed us early on that they were busy that night though she would do her best to answer when we pressed the call button (in our room). We visited the bar to order a 12 shot rainbow shot and the bartenders there were a little less friendly. The rainbow shots weren’t strong at all, but fun to watch them make so 12 shots for $ 50 seemed reasonable to me but the regular drinks, that are on the small side (see photos below) are in the $ 7-​$ 8 range. Because our party was large they automatically tacked on an 18% gratuity charge on every drink order. It’s also BYOF!.. but no jello shots, or jello at all for that matter.
This venue was a cool place to check out. APKL may be on the pricier side for a Karaōke Lounge but it’s not bad, not bad at all!
