McKenzie’s Bar & Grill

New owner and name now; Lucia’s On The Lake. I liked it better when it was McKenzie’s. Now it’s mediocre at best. The service was actually very good but the food was subpar. The Ceasar salad was not good at all. Calamari is usually a safe bet, but here it was the worst that I’ve had lately. All in all, it wasn’t great and I’m not sure that we’ll try it again. Rodney’s is a far better choice for that area IMO.

The service was great (the owner brought us big hats to wear for the Kentucky Derby, which was amazing and worked out nicely because the sun was in my eyes).
The food was… I guess, as can be expected? I ordered my prime rib medium rare, she warned me that i couldn’t get anything less than medium — ok, that’s typical for prime rib. But then it came well done and I was not happy, nor was I in the mood to send it back and receive what I could only expect to be an identical cut of meat.
Dinnermates had a fish fry and a pittsburgh salad, each of which were good portions and they were happy with them.
The view was great and just what I needed for the first Saturday of May — and was enough for me to return for a reasonably priced water“front” dinner… I’ll just stay away from the prime rib next time.

One of our favorite local stops. Always great for a last resort. Never been disappointed. Food is always good, service is always good and a nice selection of draft microbrews.

Had lunch here with a large group of people from work. Very casual atmosphere. Extremely slow service. We were one of two tables… Food was lacking, frankly I’ve cooked better at home. Will not be returning.

Glass in food. Response from server was «I dunno what you want me to do about this…». Do I really need to write anything else?

Mysrozenelf and a friend had lunch at McKenie’s today (5÷3÷2010), We The salefd was quite good, the pasta was aweful. It was bland and uninspired! I had the All American burger. It tased like a in and were seated right away. And it was all down hill from there. Our server did not take our drink orders untill she took our food order (and I use the term «food» loosley). My friend had the fettucinni alfredo with chicken and a side saled. The saled was quite good, the pasta was blaned and uninspired. The chicken was almost non existent and tasted under cooked. I had the all american burger with bacon and chedder. How ever that is not what I was served. I recived american cheese not the chedder I orderd. The bacon was alright. The burger it self tasted frozen. The roll was flaverless. And the fries tasted like they have not changed the oil in 2 weeks. Oh yeah I can’t forget the pepsi was flat. And it’s not like they were busy, there was our table and a four top and five people at the bar. There is no reason the food and service was so BAD! It’s also not cheap 29.83 for the two of us. The only upside is the view of the lake.
