I started Custom Cabinet Refacing to give people an alternative to larger, over-​priced, refacing companies who care about money first, people second. I will not pressure you to sign a contract on-​the-​spot like my competitors. I also won’t tell you what you want to hear just to make a sale.

My husband found Dave through Unilocal and was impressed by his high ratings and great reviews. I must say, he lived up to all of them! He refronted our kitchen drawers and cabinet doors and did an outstanding job. He answered all of our questions, worked around our schedules after the holidays, arrived promptly every time – even though he had to travel quite a distance to get here. Dave is very professional, gets the job done in a timely manner, cleans up before he leaves, and has a very strong work ethic. We love the way our kitchen looks – thanks to his workmanship and some suggestions for things we hadn’t thought of.

I’ve never done a review but I need to give Dave and his team credit for such an amazing job they did w/​our cabinets. I found Dave on Unilocal.He had great reviews and after seeing the before/​after pictures, I decided to reach out to him for a quote. He replied right away and was able to give me an estimated quote right away.

My wife and I decided to redo our kitchen and after meeting with Dave and seeing images of his work, we hired Dave to reface our existing cabinets. This was quite possibly the best decision we made during our entire remodel.
Dave and his painters are amazing. They completely transformed our kitchen at a reasonable price. It’s as if we have a brand new kitchen at a fraction of the cost of replacing all of the cabinets.
Dave shows up on time (or early) everyday and leaves your house clean at the end of the day. His painters were extremely professional and did a great job.
We have received nothing but compliments from all of our family and friends when they see our «new» kitchen!

I found Dave Furtado on Unilocal and Unilocal did not let me down. My experience was great from start to finish. Dave answered my numerous (and I mean numerous) questions by email almost instantly even nights and weekends. He was very patient. He taught me the limitations of refacing and my project fit so I went ahead. I had a tough job of covering up the heavy oak grain on my cabinets but he instructed his painters on how to «bury the grain» and it worked. He is meticulous, polite and respectful. Dave wore a backpack vacuum cleaner and tidied up as he went along. He cheerfully helped other workers who were on my job site and needed assistance. The cabinets look brand new. No one can believe they were refaced. Custom Cabinet Refacing is highly recommended!

Dave refaced our bathroom cabinets after the original cabinet paint job was ruined by a unethical painter (painted water-​based paint over oil — based paint without proper prep). Refacing was almost cheaper than having the paint removed and fixed and the result is much much nicer.

I couldn’t afford to completely redo my kitchen from top to bottom, but definitely needed to upgrade it. Dave was prompt in his response and was out to measure the kitchen in short order. He gave me a very good, transparent quote and had a great selection of finishes and styles to choose from. The cabinets and drawers were ready in the time he had set expectations for, and he came out and very efficiently installed everything. It was a very professional, completely low-​hassle, pain-​free process and the kitchen has been 100% transformed. It looks like it’s completely new. I’m really satisfied with the work and grateful that I found such a great alternative to a complete kitchen remodel — for a fraction of the price, Dave’s work makes a huge difference. Dave recently finished my kitchen cabinets refacing. The current layout was already optimum and the counters in great shape so redoing the cabinets was the way to go. I have new drawer fronts and boxes, new cabinet doors and all new full extend, soft close hardware. The wood is select hard maple with a clear finish. The frames were refaced with matching veneer. The price was very competitive and much less than what new cabinets would have cost. The whole project came out great. Dave is a real craftsman and has great attention to detail. He is a quiet hardworking guy who does a great job. He is on time every day and got the job done in five days which I was amazed at. I give Dave my strongest recommendation.

We found Dave through Unilocal.He has numerous positive/​5 star reviews so we gave him a call. We were in the middle of a complete master bathroom remodel and wanted to have our double vanity cabinets refaced rather than replaced since they were in good shape and we weren’t changing the configuration. Dave is very detail oriented and is a man of few words BUT he is exact with his words: he says exactly what he means and does exactly what he says. He was very prompt with scheduling our estimate and the date the work would be done and he kept to both. He offered helpful suggestions with choosing the style of cabinet and drawer fronts. For example, we initially leaned toward one with no knobs or drawer pulls — just recessed cut outs — and he suggested that, over time this would show wear and finger grime whereas hardware wouldn’t. He also had good ideas for colors that went well with the color scheme of the overall bathroom remodel. Dave’s workmanship is impeccable/​flawless. His pricing is competitive with big box stores such as Home Depot or Lowes — we checked out both of these and they were much higher. Basically, there is no reason not to use Dave and we will use him again for our kitchen remodel.

Dave did an absolutely phenomenal job refacing our kitchen cabinets and I recommend him wholeheartedly. He responded quickly to my initial email, was really flexible in working with our schedule, and gave us a bid that was FAR more reasonable than the guy who’d come out from… uh…well, let’s just call it Schmome Schmepot.
(Seriously. SO MUCH more reasonable than that guy.)
Our kitchen looks about 1 000 000% better than it did before Dave worked his magic in there. He was a consummate professional, worked quickly and efficiently, and left absolutely no mess. He was great at communicating, always arrived on time, and was generally just a complete joy to do business with. We’ve had our new cabinet doors for almost a month now, and we still marvel at them every single day; our kitchen looks like an entirely new room.
If you’re thinking about having your cabinets refaced, I can’t see how you’d find a better guy for the job than Dave. I wish I had TWO kitchens so he could come and do them all over again.

Well, I don’t really know if its possible to say enough nice things about 1 person and a job well done. I hired Dave after I found him on Angies list for a Kitchen Cabinet Reface job. He was so easy to work with and even gave estimates via email after we sent him pictures. He was very reasonably priced. We had, had a few other people including Home Depot out to our house for estimates before we found Dave, and boy were they over priced! I am so very glad we did not hire them.
Dave did a amazing job and in record time. He refaced my entire kitchen in only 4 days. That is pretty much unheard of! He was prompt and efficient and very clean. Every day he cleaned up after himself and made my house livable while this construction was going on. I am so very grateful I found him and absolutely love my new kitchen! He took our old nasty oak kitchen cabinets and refaced with beautiful new material and now our kitchen is modern and beautiful. I am overjoyed and will refer him to everyone. He is prompt, professional and a true craftsmen. Even my husband was highly impressed and said he is «the best at what he does.» Dave may not be a big talker (kind of quiet) but is an amazing craftsmen and we are so happy with our kitchen and his work. 5 stars from me!!! I just worked with Dave to reface my bathroom cabinets. Unlike some other contractors I’ve talked to, he is responsive and always on time. He is respectful of your home and does a thorough job of cleaning up once he is done. The quality of his work is impressive, and his prices are very reasonable. I had Custom Cabinet Refacing do the cabinets in the kitchen of a condo I was getting ready to sell. Dave was prompt in responding to my inquiry, and was kind enough to give me a rough price before coming out to give a firm estimate. Once I decided on color and material for the «new» cabinets, it took about a month for the new doors and refacing material to arrive, exactly as Dave had predicted.
The work itself was perfect and happened exactly as promised. The kitchen looks amazing, and nobody could believe the cabinets were not brand new.
For what it’s worth, the condo sold for 16% over asking, with multiple offers, and many people commented on the beautiful kitchen.
