We drove about 30 miles to see some used cars that were listed online. When we got there, none of them were in the lot. The salesman, John Ahern, proceeded to ask if we wanted to buy a new car for only $ 20,000 more than our budget was. When we said we were not interested, he could care less about helping us. It was a complete waste of time. I can’t imagine how they treat their customers if they treat potential customers as bad as they treated us.

No nonsense or games, just great service. We came interested in a Jetta we saw on True Car. Our salesperson, Bobbie Salimeda, showed us the car, the price was exactly what was quoted on True Car, and Paula arranged our financing with ease.

We have used Jennings VW service several times for our VW. The last two have gone quite bad with the service department quoting one price and then when we show up, we have to pay a much larger price. I swore I would never go back as it was so egregious the first time but my wife and son forgot and tried again. Same result. Watch out -$ 180 oil changes can happen to you too! I would strongly avoid this dealership or at least do a better job than us to make sure you are not taken advantage of.
Thanks for responding but you may not have the all the facts. She was told the engine light was under warranty. Shouldn’t you call and ask permission to charge the customer if it wasn’t under warranty? Again, anyone using this be wary of our experiences.

My folks and I dropped off our Volkswagen to their service area after making an appointment because your back up light was not lighting up. Before we dropped off the car, we did our own check and knew that it wasn’t the light bulb (and we told the service center it wasn’t the light bulb when we dropped it off). We dropped off the car around 10:30 AM and they told us they closed at 3:00 PM. They called around 2:30 PM and told us that they need more time to do diagnostics, meaning they had to keep the car until Monday. We went into the service center around 2:45 to pick up the car not wanting to leave it over the weekend. My mother went to pick up the car, and the service adviser told her that «it wasn’t the light bulb (which we already told them). My mother’s response was to say «we know it isn’t the light bulb, we told you that.» his response was that she didn’t say tell him that. When my mother asked why it took them so long to determine it wasn’t the light bulb they said they needed authorization by us. So the reality is that for roughly 4 hours they didn’t do anything with the car and we wasted a whole Saturday for nothing. We asked why they didn’t call earlier rather than 2:30 PM, the service adviser said they called at 1:30 PM, but for the fact that they called at 2:30 and we did not have a call log of them calling anytime earlier drew up a yellow flag for us especially since they didn’t even bother to leave a voicemail. The response from the service adviser was unprofessional when my mother questioned why they didn’t call earlier for authorization and when she asked where the car keys were, he responded «in the car» pointed at the car and essentially dismissed her. She did not care for his attitude. There are some major points I like to point out, and one of them is the motto the customer is always right. You don’t tell a customer they are wrong or that they misled you, it just looks bad. The other thing is don’t say something that can be easily refuted. We know when they called so don’t give us an excuse that you called earlier in this day and age where we can pull out our cell phones and show you our call logs.
My family and I have been customers for well over 20 years. The thing is, there are at least 6 other car dealerships on that one stretch of road, so if this is the type of experience that my family and I should expect for any future visits, I can say that I won’t lose any sleep if we take our business elsewhere.

Salesperson Juliana (Jewels) was awesome. I’m so glad she’s the one who approached me when I walked in to help my parent’s lease a new Jetta recently. Not pushy in the least, very sweet and comfortable to be with. She answered all my VW questions like a knowledgeable pro and after a test drive, I had no reservations about signing the lease. They didn’t have my desired color in stock but got it shipped in within 2 days.

Closed two cars for the family the past two weeks with different salespeople from Jennings VW. Both guys (Arpad and Armando) know how to treat customers and leave the old school tactics behind. When ready to close, call ahead to avoid the lengthy paperwork process. Shopped at other dealers as well for same car. No comparison. Hopefully other Jennings brands operate as well as VW.

I went in last week to purchase a new CUV for my wife and received absolutely the best service from Craig B. He was extremely knowledgeable on all VW products and was very polite and pleasant to work with. As many other dealerships are very pushy and difficult to deal with, on the contrary, Craig was very patient and took time to show us a variety of options. We ended up purchasing a 2013 VW Tiguan and we are very pleased with the car and the deal we received. Coming from someone that has purchased quite a few cars before and have gone to various dealerships, I highly recommend Jennings VW for anyone looking for either a new or used vehicle. The lady that helped us in the finance department was also extremely polite and professional.

This is now my second purchase from Jennings. I never want to have to go anywhere else for my car buying needs or service. I recently went in to trade in my Jetta to upgrade to a Tiguan. I once again went to Arek Anesko who has kept in touch the whole time I owned the Jetta always making sure there were no problems and I was happy. I was so looking forward to my new purchase. Unfortunately days before I went to trade in my Jetta was side swiped. Not only did Arek and His team make me feel at ease they took all the stress of the situation away making my new purchasing experience a happy, exciting and stress free one. They laid out all the options and help me make decisions they came up with options that were win win for all. This kind of thing is unheard of. There is never pressure to buy and it’s always clear that they want me to be happy. As a single women I felt completely comfortable dealing with them on my own. When I called to tell my father all that took place to get me in my new car he was thrilled and knew I wasn’t taken advantage of in any way. You cannot find a better sales person then Arek Anesko. This was the first time I’ve dealt with Mike Fezatte in the business office and he was seriously wonderful. With Arek and Mike I felt like I had two big brothers on my side not sales people not only that I feel like they spent the entire day with me. Their honesty and sincerity is unparalleled and I’ve never found anything like it. Paula the business manager is so wonderful she explains everything and every number she is kind and warm and always happy to help get you into your new car. These people are so wonderful I look forward to going there for whatever reason. Robert in service and Steve in the body shop are always welcoming and I never want to take my vehicle anywhere else. Jennings makes me feel like family. They know what they are doing and do it everyday very well. Go see them you won’t regret it!!!

Solid, polite and efficient service team. I brought my 2015 Passat in for some service, and things did not go perfectly. However, they were excellent in their recovery.

I had my first service at Jennings VW after purchasing a CPO GLI last summer. I decided to service here because the dealer where I purchased the GLI from was too far away, and I am very happy with my encounters here.
The service manager, Lisa, was very thorough and helpful, and provided prompt follow up when an additional part came in a week later. The actual facility is wonderful, clean, and the waiting area is comfortable with a separate business/​work station area (although I have to say that the waiting room at Volvo is the nicest, even compared to Merc, BMW, and Lexus). This is definitely a step up from other VW service waiting areas I have used in the area or back in boston.
Overall I am very happy with my service encounters so far at Jennings and would recommend to anyone on the North Shore.

I’ve been using this dealership for 8 years now and I’ve been through two car purchases. Every time I know that when I walk in that I’ll be treated with respect and dignity! My most recent purchase was no different. Friendly and knowledgeable staff mixed with a deep desire to see customers drive off happy make for a great dealership experience.

This is a great place to do business with. Very friendly and helpful! Craig (sales guy) and Mike (lease mgr) helped me and my wife leasing a car. Craig showed us variety of options and we decide to lease a car rather than purchasing pre owned used car which was our original plan.
It took sometime to proceed because we came from Japan and didn’t really have a credit score. I was totally surprised and shocked at the beginning how difficult to be approved. However, they put me on the foreign professional programs often offered for expats from European people as the same situation as my case. I needed to ask 3 person’s contact information including home address, submit salary slip, and so forth but it worth it.
Mike also didn’t hesitate to explain us kindly how the credit score works in the US and it was very helpful for first time leasee as the foreigner. It was very good experience to go through all that.
Craig showed us how to operate the car including cool features of new beetle before leaving. Car was washed very nice and cleaned. It was good to know that we can get car wash every time we get here.
Only thing I think they can improve is the showing the prices. They only showed the monthly payment depends on the length of the year and how much deposit. I needed to calculate and compare it for the total cost. Also, there were options to choose the package for maintenance and other stuffs when it came down to sign in the contract. If it could be explained all of that in once, I would appreciate more!
But anyway, I really appreciate their help and enjoy my car right now. Thanks!!!

It was nice to be treated like a person, instead of a consumer. Everyone at Jennings was welcoming and didn’t pressure you to buy buy buy. Arpad Simo was a pleasure to work with and focused more on what my wants and needs were versus the dealership. As for the vehicle purchase, love it! It’s exactly what I wanted.
Overall great experience, super happy with the vehicle so far (2016 Golf R) and will return if another Volkswagen is in the future. I know there’s a lot of family owned dealerships out there, but you still have to make a choice to treat people right. This family owned business makes the choice to do right by people!

As a person who totally dislikes car shopping, Juliana made the process so easy and stress free and delivered to me a brand new BEAUTIFUL White Tiguan! (my first SUV) Yay!
Juliana was simply amazing and I cannot speak high enough about her. Juliana took her time and showed me different models of cars that fit my budget. We went for ‘multiple’ test drives and she was extremely patient with me while I asked a million and one questions and requested longer than usual test drives. Juliana’s enthusiasm for VW and her in-​depth knowledge of each vehicle is completely apparent as she knows every single feature in each vehicle and clearly explained how the different models will fit my desired needs. I was beyond excited to purchase my car during the Sign and Drive and Juliana went above and beyond to locate the exact car I wanted — in my ideal colors! :-) Mike was awesome and helped make this deal come true for me. As a car sales person, I deal everyday with customers who want the best value for their money, as well as excellent customer service. When it was time to buy a car for myself, I found a dealer in Chicago that provides just that… Jennings Volkswagen. I shopped the dealers in Indianapolis and then Jennings Volkswagen in Chicago for my new Tiguan. I saved over 2000 dollars in payments over the life of my lease by taking a day to go up there and buy from Jennings.
Their customer service started from the minute I contacted Keith in Internet sales, followed by Arpad picking me up at O’Hare and every friendly helpful employee I encountered while getting my new car.

It can be a bit of a stressful process when you are going in to look or buy a car. Being a woman, I am a bit overwhelmed walking into a car dealership. When I first met Juliana, she immediately made me feel comfortable. She was so helpful in answering any questions I had and took the time to show me whatever I wanted to see. I didn’t feel rushed to make a decisions and I definitely didn’t feel any pressure from her to get a car right then and there.
Everyone that worked there was so nice and seemed very genuine. The manager Andrew was very helpful as well. He kept checking in to make sure we were up to speed on the financing process and went over the paper work very thoroughly. Also, Paula was great too, such a sweet lady.
Overall, I am very happy with my experience at Jennings. I did lease a 2016 Jetta that day. This was by far the best dealership experience I have ever had, I would definitely recommend Jennings to anyone looking for a car!

This is my second car that I purchased from Jennings. My first was in 2011 (see review below) and I kept up with servicing the vehicle here as they took good care of both me and my vehicle.
Andrew Low (Sales Manager) had reached out to me a few times over the last year about wanting to trade in my car as they were low on pre-​owned vehicles (could also be a sales tactic). I was ultimately waiting for the Cross Blue Coupe to come out in a few years, but have been eyeing the Tiguan for a while now. I finally allowed myself to cave in on Saturday — when I had scheduled a recall repair. While I dropped my car off in service, the internet manager Keith connected me with Arek Aneszko. I already said that I was interested in the Tiguan R Line and he showed me the floor model. My fiancé and I took it for a test drive and we both loved it. Once back at the dealership, I filled out the credit application where business manager Mike Fazette came in and ran some numbers. Once approved, Paula Ciolino went through all the final paperwork with us… and because we were there most of the day (~6 hours) and starving, she was kind enough to give us snacks!
I’m a couple months into driving our beaut, which we have named Tiggy Azalea (you like that one, don’t you?!) and are still absolutely pleased with our purchase!
(Oh, and PS — no more free car washes :(at least if you are just stopping by for that.)

The VW Jetta was my first car in high school and then I eventually got rid of it in college. I decided to come back to Jennings because I remembered how nice our former salesman was. The process at Jennings could not have been more seamless. Craig greeted us as soon as we walked in and asked and listened to everything I had to say in terms of my car needs. I told him everything I wanted and everything I didn’t want, and he helped me find the exact car I was looking for. He took us to the extra lot and let us peruse all the different options, so that I found the right color and model.
Mike, on the finance side was clear, thorough and got everything done in a timely fashion. He went over all the numbers and answered every question I had about it. This was my first solo car purchase, so I was a bit unclear about a few things and he cleared it all up.
I never once felt pressured to make a purchase, which was huge for me because I hate shopping for anything and having that feeling, especially a large purchase such as this. The level of customer service from both Craig and Mike was beyond what I could have asked for and I will definitely be returning in the future. I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car. Make sure to ask for Craig.

As a woman who absolutely hates taking my car to any shop for service, I must admit that this team changed that perspective and raised the bar BIGTIME for any shops/​service teams out there.
