Firestone Complete Auto Care

RIP OFF! I came down to visit my elderly aunt, who had taken her car in for a basic oil change. By the time they had completed it they went on to list nearly $ 1,700 in repairs needed, included all new hoses, new air conditioner compressor, new belts., etc. Thank God she did not have this done. As a mechanic my entire life I and another car mechanic who also has years of experience, looked at her car and found not one of the items mentioned needed repaired or replaced. This auto is in excellent condition. Shame on you Firestone for attempting to take advantage of an elderly woman!

Took my Tacoma in for an alignment today and the work is solid. Really can’t beat the lifetime alignment deal. It pays for itself after a few visits.

As a women I walk into a auto repair shop and can feel one of two ways. I can feel I’m be taken advantage of or I can feel I’m being taken care of in a professional and respectful manner.
Ladies if your looking for a shop you can trust and you want to know they will listen to you and give you a fair deal. David Corona and Michael are absolutely hands down your guys. I have a lifted truck with after market rims and I can honestly say. I’m a customer for life. They have taken care of everyone I have sent to them, weather they knew I sent them or not. As for you gentleman out their looking for a great deal and a shop that is professional and provides quality clean work, stop looking and come give these guys a true. You won’t be disappointed.

Really disappointed with the treatment from this place. This was my go to place and really trust Firestone, never had bad service. I had an appointment, waited for the employee for 15 minutes dealing a with a customer, all I asked if I could drop my keys off and got smart with me. I stood around a few more minutes while the customer could not decide on a set of tires. Not sure why he couldn’t handle me and check me in, since I did have an appointment, then continue with the other customer. If he was more polite, I would have waited, even though I guess no one else there could have checked me in. Not that smartest practice.

I was referred to Leo at this shop years ago. I will only trust him with my family vehicles. He repairs only what is needed. He recommended the lifetime alignment as I can have it done every time I come in. Smart move if you want to save on tires/​suspension in the longer run. I also later learned that he has been there longer than anyone else. The rest of the shop is great too, but Leo is my man. Thanks for keeping my family safe.

Well my A/​C went out yesterday, agh, and I just had the freon recharged 2 months ago! I’ve never trusted shops and with so many in AZ it’s hard to find one that you can trust. My husband and son does most of the mechanical work on our cars, I would only venture out for something they cannot do, A/​C being one of them. But definitely something was wrong.
I decided to look for a place based off of Unilocal reviews this time and found this place which the most recent ones were from 9mo ago but sounded good. I figure I can write an updated review.
I called and spoke to a rep here and he asked if the previous mechanic put dye in when he recharged the freon and as far as I know that was not done which wasn’t helpful but he said they can do a visual check and put some dye in (free of charge) and figure it out from there. He scheduled me for a Sunday appointment at 8:30am which surprised me because most auto shops are not open Sunday’s so that was nice.
I got here at 8:30am and they took my car in by 8:46am. I’m a little nervous of course because I thought I had fix this already and now I’m paying again.
About 8:56am they came and asked me what I was looking for with my A/​C because as far as they can tell it’s blowing cold. I explained yes it’s a guessing game because it goes in/​out. He said ok will see what they can do.
His suggestion? They will recharge, put dye in, oil and balance whatever was needed for the A/​C to work and then they can track it from there. Also if it goes out again I won’t be charged to get it recharged with freon. Just for the part that I may need to replace so that’s a good thing. They weren’t sure what the 1^st mechanic did and told me there were many things he should of done instead of just recharging the freon. Apparently when they did the recharge and put the dye in they saw the leak immediately and told the repair cost.
Price: WOW I think I’m getting screwed again. Just for a hose the cost was stupid and add the labor was like are you kidding me?! I said I need to look around so he said they would still have to charge for the recharge which was what I paid for the first time. OMG I can’t believe what I would have to pay. It’s pretty much double what I expected. I’m a little bummed at this point and I’ve paid to have my car recharged twice now and solved nothing, but to pay double what I thought the repairs would be was not what I was prepared for. I’m just going to have to shop around.
FYI found the exact part I needed for ½ the price at Autozone. So I’m probably going to find a shop to do the labor and recharge for a more reasonable price.

Came by to get my spark plugs changed, got quoted for $ 114. Seemed pretty high but I wanted it taken care of so I was fine, but then they insisted that they had to change the wires/​boots without even looking at the car, which was an extra $ 150. Spent 10 – 15 trying to tell them the wires were fine and I just wanted the plugs changed. It then turned from an optional addition to ‘we can’t change them without changing the wires’. I went over to auto zone, got the plugs, socket, wires — only $ 80. My boots looked brand new but I took their word for it and changed them anyway.

Great, honest, dependable service. I was formerly using my dealer because I liked getting the courtesy car. And I was nervous to go elsewhere. But, one day it wasn’t convenient for me to drive out to I10. I was impressed with the savings compared to dealer. I also appreciated the honesty with «recommended» service versus «required». Finally, I liked that I could get some errands done at target while the tires and oil were changed. I later used firestone for brakes. It was a substantial savings to dealer. Straightforward and down to earth staff.

Two oil changes with our lifetime alignment ms completed at the same time. They were friendly, prompt and gave us an overview of future service. Appreciated honesty of «May or may not want to do this because of…» vs high pressure sales or fear based selling techniques.

Terrible. I called at 11 am and was told my car was ready. I show up at 1 pm and learn my car is not ready… Need another hour. I had to get a ride twice. Wasting valuable time going to this place.

I’ve been going here for years as a coupon oil change customer out of convenience. Over that time, I have gradually used them more and more with great reason. Very professional, great work, willing to explain repairs to those who aren’t car savvy (I’ve overheard them doing this, was very impressed), etc. They’ve finally done a full conversion on me, one of my vehicles is pretty much totally covered there (alignments, brakes, tires). They are now my shop of choice!

Great experience. I needed an oil change and tire check before a last minute road trip. I called ten minutes before closing last night to inquire about a next day appointment. The gentleman I spoke with was more than accommodating, said I could come in anytime. I requested right at 7am when they open. I went in this morning, in and out in about 35 minutes. No upsell nonsense. Nice, clean office and waiting area. Staff was all very friendly and polite. Will definitely be back!

I had excellent service from two different people at this Firestone. My first experience was for a tire rotation, balance and alignment. I had purchased tires from a Firestone in another state and they came with lifetime rotation, balance and alignment. I took my car in and they were very prompt and recommended service that I could have done on my car (standard procedure I’m sure) but were very helpful in providing a quote (good for 30 days) if I changed my mind. They also guaranteed their prices and said if I found the same service for a lower price, they will match it.
My second experience was with my husband and he took his 2003 Honda Civic in for a water pump replacement and timing belt replacement. They were very friendly and efficient and even honored our coupons from the website. They also offered price matching on this service.
I would definately recommend this location based on customer service and price.
