Discount Tire Store – Gilbert, AZ

My Saturday at the tire store with a trashed tire. Will start them out with 5 stars I will see what they end with.

I bought 4 tires on the DISCOUNT TIRE website. When they arrived at my house, I was anxious to get them installed. I called up and asked how much the tires would cost to mount them. They quoted me $ 110 just to mount tires I bought from their own website! When I asked why it was so expensive to mount the tires from tires I bought from their very own website, they explained to me that if i had bought the tires at their store it would be half the price, but since I didn’t, I had to suffer the consequences. No thanks. You lost a customer and I will not be supporting this establishment anymore. Greedy sales tactics over customer service.

New tires, repairing tires or just checking the pressure this location is amazing! Super clean, friendly, attentive and extremely detailed. As a woman dealing with car issues I feel totally comfortable with this staff! Keep up the great work!

I don’t have enough words nor praise to say about the Discount Tire at this Gilbert location. I was looking for a very specific tire size that nobody in the Valley had. I shopped numerous outlets and found no results. I tried a Big O Tires location because the was closer, but they were priced more than $ 100 higher. They tried to come up with an excuse which made it worse, as I caught them in their own lie. I too my deposit back. Enough was enough.
I knew any location that was going to earn my business was going to have to work for it. This discount tires found my set in Colorado and immediately had them shipped down to the valley. Their follow up was prompt and polite. They even matched prices with wholesale stores such as Costco and Sams Club. Needless to say, I was more than pleased. Incredibly polite and professional staff. Works harder than any other tire chain. This location has just earned my future business!

Went in for the free air check for my 2014 mitsubishi evolution today. I used to live in tempe and go to one there that did my tire checks for my discount tire tires since I was 16.
When I got to this location there was 1 car in the bay and no line in the waiting area. I parked and got out. Made eye contact with 3 people and waited for a minute or so before someone even acknowledged me. Finally someone came up and said that they would be with me in a bit.
Finally a couple minutes later someone came up, offered me a water and started doing the air check. That part took all of 2 minutes. Then he started talking about how I only had 32% tread left on my tires and that if I had time for a full inspection. I thought it was pretty unfortunate that he said that, as the tires only had 8,000 miles on them. I also thought that if I wasn’t more informed I probably would have been shocked, let them check, and then convince me to replace all my tires.
I appreciate the free air check, that I honestly could’ve done myself in roughly the same amount of time. However I thought this would be fast and hassle free, which it wasn’t.
I’ve used discount tire my whole driving life, and will continue using them. However would not recommend this one specifically because of the long wait and dishonesty.

Had a issue with my wheels right before a road trip and Jason and the boys hooked it up. Best service ever!

I would highly recommend coming here for your tire needs. Initially I purchased 2 new front tires, and they told me one of my back tires had a slow leak but told me they would fix it. I discovered they hadn’t repaired the leak when the tire blew out the next day and was completely destroyed. The customer service manager corrected the situation by replacing the blown tire for free and waiving the labor costs. Clean facility and professional staff

The last visit, the manager seemed to be a bit of a knob. It looks like others have noticed based on other reviews. I hope it is temporary thing. Discount Tires is a good company

Service was great. They were not to busy when I went for one flat tire. They got me done real fast. 15 mins. The only reason I did not give five stars is because I quoted a tire on the phone and when I went in they charged me more. And they also had done the same thing to another person while I was there at counter.

I called Discount Tire on 1÷14÷2015 & told them I had a flat tire, which I did not buy from them, that I attempted to repair with Slim fix a flat, and it needed repaired. I asked how much and they said free. I was skeptical. The next day I drove there and arrived at 5:30, 30 minutes before closing. They said they would fix the tire, asked for my keys (I got nervous) & said they would take the spare off & place the repaired tire on, all at no charge. They took a look at my mileage, filled out some info on the computer. I was told it would be about 45 minutes. By then it had to be 5:40, maybe close to 5:45? I was flabbergasted that at 6 pm the car rolled up outside the door repaired, in less time, with a smile and a hand shake, all for free! In an age where customer service seems to be dead in american service businesses, this Discount Tire went above and beyond my expectations. Needless to say I’ve shared this story with friends and family, and as soon as it’s time to buy new tires (likely in a few months), I’m marching into that store and giving them my business. Thank you to all the staff at Discount Tire that worked on my car. AAA+++ !

I have been using this place for seven years. They are awesome and fast. The always give you options and never push products. I full trust these guys. All are good but Josh and Drew are best in class.

Where do I begin? Well to start everyone there was courteous, kind and professional. I came in with a screw in my tire and they fixed it… for FREE. I would come back here as a paying customer. The job they did was great and they finished in no time at all. They are also kid friendly. My youngest spilled water and they insisted on cleaning it for me. Oh yeah and they gave me a bottle of spring water. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Didn’t have the size and brand I called about so offered a slight discount on an alternate.

Nobody likes a flat tire. Especially bright and early in the morning when you’re running late for work.
A screw was the culprit in my case (it’s like I have magnets on my tires, this happens to me all the time) and I had the sneaking feeling it would be irreparable prior to stopping into Discount, but a girl can hope differently, right?
I parked and was just a few steps away from my car when I was greeted by Jean Luc. He was friendly and smiling and immediately put me at ease. He got me all set within just a few minutes (even though the store was fairly busy).
As it turns out, I did need a new tire and had one on in about 15 – 20 minutes and I was on my way. Fantastic service and my tire didn’t even cost me an arm and a leg. I left happy and glad to be on my way so quickly.
Highly recommend this location!
Oh, but P. S. to Discount, it would be nice to have wifi available for customers while they wait. :)

Called in and got Josh this morning, my GF had a flat tire just down the road and let him know she was coming in so should we be well taken care of, he did just that! Fixed the flat tire (nail) for FREE! He did not try to up sell her on anything, simply GREAT and EFFICIENT customer service! I will continue to recommend these guys to any and everyone! Thanks Josh

I had two tires split… yikes!
I headed to Discount right as they opened and stood in line with a few other people. I had called earlier to make an appointment, which did not make any difference in the order I was helped. It was just first come first served.
The staff was very friendly and had two new tires on my car in a flash. I was in and out within 20 minutes!

Service was pretty good. They were pretty fast. Only took less than an hour to install two tires. They were mostly balanced. But I had to return the next day to have them probably stow my spare tire instead of just throwing it in the trunk

I’m giving this establishment a poor review due to the poor customer service. I had a 1 o’clock appointment and watched a walk in behind me get their car serviced before mine, because they had a more expensive vehicle then I did. I find this type of customer service ridiculous as for equality ha that’s a joke maybe the nicer the vehicle will get you in the front of the line here.

Friendly, fast, honest! Was in and out with my two vehicles in less than 30min. Been going to Discount Tire for over 15 years and this was by far the fastest and best visit.
Thought for sure they’d recommend new tires and was planning on pricing them out. Instead, he said I could get some good life out of them if I rotated them and kept up on it. It was almost like I was in an alternate universe with how friendly these guys were. No one had an agenda. Ill be back!
