Good food. The side dishes are yummy and go great with the delicious soup. The staff is friendly and quick. Though they could work on separating the sections of spicy. One is not spicy, next one really spicy.

I could see why people would like this but I found the food bland and boring. Prices were too high for what it was. I’m not a big tofu guy but the soup did help clear my sinuses so one good thing came from this. Didn’t like Lee’s, won’t be back.

This is my absolute favorite place to get soon tofu. Everything is made to perfection! I usually order the combination soon tofu in spicy. The soup is so rich in flavor with the perfect amount of meat, clams, oysters, and shrimp. The banchans are AAA-mazing! I’ve never went to a Korean restaurant where I liked every single one of their side dishes. All of them here are absolutely delicious. I make sure to devour every little piece before I leave. Their rice is delicious as well. The service is quick, and they offer free refills for side dishes. I just wish that they would stop raising their prices sob sob. As a poor college student I would like to be able to afford their food. But other than that, this is my favorite Korean restaurant ever and I would definitely recommend this place!

I have tried the seafood tofu and love it! I usually get the medium spicy version. The food always looks fresh and it is piping hot!

I love this place! They serve a bubbling soup in a stone bowl. I always get the pork, extra spicy. My favorite place on a rainy day. Lots of little side dishes too.

Food is good and the quality had been consistent throughout the years, it’s always been the eat out place during winter. But recently it seems they are just lack of people. One waitress serving the ENTIRE restaurant! She literally runs around. I feel bad for her… Hope the owner hire more people!

Acceptable Korean soon tofu restaurant in the Tozai«Foodie» Plaza. I have been here several times, mainly because Boiling Point had an hour wait. I’ve tried the mushroom and combination soon tofu, and both were decent. No comparison to K-Town, but gets the job done if you’re looking for something soupy on a cold day, check it out. I have tried the soon tofu at mild and medium spicy levels, and I would recommend at least medium. The mild is quite bland(almost no spicy at all). The Korean short rib plate is on the drier side, so I recommend saving some money and not ordering it. Service is okay, but more on the unfavorable side. On multiple occasions, my orders have been wrong. Service tends to be slow and inefficient.

Soon du bu is always good especially in the winter. I don’t know why people are saying that the service sucks, because they have always taken care of us– very polite, courteous, and friendly. the food comes out really quickly, too!

I was thinking 3−½ star on Unilocal probably mean 2−½ star. Well, the service is efficient consider two Korean waitresses took care of 10 tables of mostly English speakers — usually not a good sign for home made Korean food. Not to worry, they did a decent job on the food. The seafood soon tofu didn’t have oyster in it and is a bit on the salty side. The rice is a bit too burnt and dry, not the best Korean rice I had. Bibimbap isn’t served in dolsot but the rice come with it is and then the veggie is in a ceramic bowl. I guess that is a compromise. The Bibimbap combo I ordered come with bbq chicken and miso soup, which is a good value. Dark meat chicken was decent but the miso soup was salty as well. The kimchi and pickled cucumbers were over the hill. They should have just thrown those out. I would have given another half star if those were in good condition and they held back a bit salt in the soups.

I’ve been coming here for years now and I used to really really love this place but I don’t know some tofu soups tastes a little different than before. For instance today the kimchi tofu with pork had a super strong pork-y taste. The taste of the pork should compliment the kimchi not over power it. That’s just the way Korean kimchi pork soups are made. Otherwise the one I usually get the«combination» is always good but then again it is a mix of all things meat and seafood so that might be a little easier to make. I would give 3.5 stars but I can’t really half stars on the app lol Service is decent. There are some waitresses that are more attentive and pleasant than others. I don’t really know them by name because I’m not that crazy D: that would be scary.

Very busy place during the workweek lunch hour. Considering how busy it is, service was good and everything came out in a timely manner. I ordered the mushroom tofu soup. It was yummy but not my favorite in the South Bay. The soup does taste healthier than other places though. The side dishes were okay, my favorite was the seaweed in vinegar. Cho Dang and BCD are my go to’s still.

Average soon tofu w/not so great Banchan side dishes. I found the broth to be lacking flavor… The side dishes didn’t taste as fresh as other places and they offered very little sides. The ladies are too serious, and they only smiled once I asked for my check. Theres plenty of parking because it’s located in a small shopping center. Perhaps i went on a bad day? I might give this place another try.

My friend and I got sat down before two other parties, lady took the other two separate parties orders, one party was more than two people so I was already pissed off, but when she took the third parties order I was furious. No restaurants should ever serve or take orders from other parties who sat down later than prior. other than this, they’re totally under staffed and had another lady just staring at our server doing everything all by herself. I’ve eaten his more than once and always come her expecting the best but this is the worst visit yet.

Shady business practices and horrible customer service. Bad side dishes to go along with it. Ordered a bimbimbap and received no rice and no meat. I sent it back to which they said the kitchen was closed and they would strike it from the bill. 10 minutes later once the food is cold they bring out more meat for the bimbimbap, so apparently it wasn’t closed. Bill arrives and it’s not stricken from the bill and there is no description just a number to hide their tracks. I prod into it and they argue that accepting the beef rectified the problem. Shady shady shady. Go ANYWHERE else they will rip you.

I have been looking for a good Korean place since Shilla was so disappointing. Lee’s Tofu is in the same plaza as Boiling Point. It’s a very small place, we almost missed it because it’s nestled by other restaurants. Even though it was Friday lunchtime, there was no wait and the waitress seated us promptly. The service was really good, they took our orders and came by with the banchan really quickly. There was the usual banchan: kimchi, fish cakes, cucumbers, etc. They also provide seasoned seaweed as a banchan, so you can use that to wrap your rice. My favorite was the seasoned cucumbers, which was seasoned perfectly and refreshing. Since it was kind of cold outside, I decided to try the beef soon doobu. The soup came relatively quickly, still boiling and hot in the hotpot. The waitress cracked an egg in it. The soup was hot and good, perfect for a cold day. One of the reasons why I don’t like BCD is that sometimes it tastes watery. But, Lee’s tofu seasoned nicely and was tasty. Like BCD, they also give you the rice in a hotpot. So, once you are fine with your rice, you can pour hot water in it and get crispy rice soup. Or, just eat the crispy rice plain. Since this is a tofu house, the menu is limited, mainly soon dubu and other soups. But, they also sell a few meat dishes(like galbi) and few other items(like dumplings).

One of my favorite local spots for soon tofu! Dumpling mild is the way to gooooo! Get one of the combos with their bbq chicken too mmmm. DA. BOMB. I really don’t get anything else from here but I do enjoy the side dishes. OH! And the rice! Eat the soft rice in the middle with the tofu soup and then pick out the sides of the crispy rice from the pot. Ask them to pour hot tea into the bowl with the leftover crispy rice and eat it like soup. My fav! It might be an Asian thing. This place is usually fast but sometimes the ladies are pretty rude… Other than the service(which they can work on a bit) but REALLY… TRYTHISPLACE! It’s also cheaper than BCD. Tozai plaza in general gets SUPER crowded during lunch time so avoid those hours if you don’t want to wait. Parking at Tozai plaza is also hard to find.

This Tofu place is a decent hole in the wall restaurant specializing in Korean style Tofu soups. We all know that tofu is good for you. So they make it tastier by putting in toppings you like and giving a little kick to it if you like spicy soups. They have many variety when it comes to flavors/toppings from beef, pork, seafood, combination, kimchi, veggie, dumpling, soy bean paste and even oyster & clams. Ive only tried beef and pork and I was kind of surprised that they put a generous amount of meat in it. BCD has so little meat that I forget that I ordered a beef soon tofu. But here its actually A LOT of meat so you wont be disappointed. The soup was very flavorful. I find that it is salty to my taste however, its not too bad when you eat it with the stone pot rice. Side dishes are always good. It looks like side dishes that your mom would make. Looks healthy and tastes healthy too. I noticed many customers like to eat the side dishes and they are always willing to refill them as you wish. Service is average. Not the best or worst. I noticed this one Ajumma does have an attidude when I bother her when she is tryinf to close. I mean I am sorry but yea. Parking can be hard since its located in a large plaza with all the other eateries.

Food came out fast. Perfect cause I was starved n grumpy. Totally turned my frown upside down :) This isn’t the best soondubu I’ve ever had n the ban chan was decent but the cucumbers, which happen to be my fav) didn’t seem very fresh, nor were the sprouts). They also don’t have that purple rice that other places typically have, just white. Their spicy levels are also WAYYy off. I normally get medium and it burns my mouth(in a good way, obvi) but the medium here left all sensation… Def gotta kick it up a notch or two next time. Extra spicy, perhaps?! however, this is the only place I’ve been to where they asked if I wanted my egg n cracked it for me! That is def the only thing I hate about soondubu but I love eggs ohhhhh soooo much. Loved it that they did the dirty work for me. Normally, I just cross my fingers that somebody I came w loves me enough to take care of it for me: P I’d be back if I’m in the area, esp if they keep it crackin’ hehee
