History
Established in 2004.
There comes a point in many people’s lives where climbing the ladder and chasing the dollar is no longer as important as making a positive difference in the world and especially in the lives of young people. The owner’s of Reach Professional In-Home Tutoring both are cancer survivors and realized over 10 years ago that life is a gift and that it was time to start giving back. They wanted to create an opportunity for themselves and other educators and marketing specialists to realize the dream of helping students achieve their goals, boost their confidence and enjoy learning. Out of this desire, Reach Professional In-Home Tutoring was born and has had a proven track record of success in improving student’s grades through private individual tutoring using credentialed professionals.
Meet the Business Owner
Andrew M.
Business Owner
Andrew’s passion for teaching came from undergraduate work at St. Mary’s College, where he earned his B.A. in early childhood education. He also began working in organization and ministries reaching out to tutor and mentor underserved children. Upon graduation in 2001, he sought work in Fremont Schools. As a substitute teacher, Andrew was a familiar face in nearly every school, grade, and subject in Fremont. He then took a full-time position teaching high school English. Currently, he continues his work in the classroom as a substitute teacher at local schools. Andrew began tutoring in the 8th grade when he learned of a 5th grade student who needed help. Since then, he has accumulated 21 years of private tutoring experience and 6 years of experience at a tutoring center. He has great knowledge of the pros and cons of private tutoring over sending a student to a learning center. Today, he continues to mentor and tutor children in addition to serving as the SF East Bay Regional Director
