I’m writing this review for my friend who just replaced a damaged garage door. John was on site early and spent a lot of time explaining the various functions of the door. He was extremely careful to make sure the door was correctly balanced and functioning smoothly. Since this was an older house it was difficult to get the door balanced but John spent a lot of time to get it just right. I was really impressed by the courtesy & professional service that he gave. I called several other companies but am really glad that I choose R&S Erection.

It was time to replace my 23yr old door. Who better to call than R&S since they put in my last one. Worked with Dave who explained all the options and helped me pick the perfect door for my crib.
On installation day John H. was here bright and early. He explained everything and went to work. A couple hrs later and poof… I had a new door. No worries, no fuss.

One Monday morning our 2 car garage door wouldn’t open. I called the company and the technician came out shortly with in two hours. John hackett is very friendly & professional, he explained the options to us to fix the problem, he was not pushy at all and knew exactly what the problem was. We were very happy with the job he did and the price was reasonable.

Our neighborhood had a security gate installed twenty years ago. during that time I have handled the maintenance of the gate fro seven folks in the neighborhood. R and s Erection installed that gate and operator, and maintained it to the satisfaction of everyone.
Recently I had another custom gate installed on my private property. After researching the price and quality I came back to the tried and true service/​product of R and S.
Upon arrival of the gate for installation, I found that I was not happy with the galvanized dip done prior to the powder coating. I was nit picking, but without any argument or attitude the gate was returned to the vender to be re-​dipped. Working with men for over 50 years, one comes to know the men that are on the job to do their job and problem solve, and those that are there to just collect a paycheck. I was thoroughly impressed with the team that serviced the installation of my gate and I highly recommend to anyone the experience of doing business with R and S Erection.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE… Dave the sales rep was extremely professional. I was very impressed he really knows his product. My wife and I did a lot of research and found R&S prices to be very competitive.
The day of the install went smooth. Chris and Martin were right on time. They treated us with respect and worked on our home like we were their friends. You just don’t find quality service like this anymore. I take my hat off to these guys.

Was in desperate need of a new garage due to it buckling big time and almost splitting in half! My garage was out of service :(I shopped around and got a lot of different quotes but wasn’t sure what type of work and product I was going to get. Lucky for me my neighbors garage door also needed replacing and that’s how I meet Dave! Really cool guy, down to earth and very knowledgeable about garage doors! He gave me a business card and after getting the green light from my wife, I called Dave up and made an appointment with him the following day. He came out measured and was able to get me back in service the very next day with a brand new garage door with ALL new hardware! He told me that he would have his technician take a look and my old Liftmaster opener motor and I could make a decision on if I wanted to replace it or not.
I got an awesome technician Martin, showed up on time that morning and totally took care of my new garage door! He was very good at his job and very friendly! He knew exactly what he was doing and let me know that he would make sure everything was working properly before he left. I did decide that I would go ahead and replace my motor and boy was I so glad I did! Martin installed my new Liftmaster belt drive motor and we love it! Super quite and very smooth! Programed all my controls for me and setup the panel also! HIGHLY RECOMMEND A++++++

Garage door would not close and called R&S for repair service. Found out now residential work is assigned to the Alameda location and was first skeptical whether I get schedule quickly. Well they came out the next day when I was available and John, the repairman, called me 20 minutes before I left work and met me at the exact time I got home… no waiting. He was very knowledgeable and proud of his job and company. Quick diagnosis he determine a gear was broken and provided option to either order replacement part or install either new motor or demo one hardly used that were both with him. I opt for the showroom demo and got a great deal plus he adjusted the door as it was a little heavy and oiled up the whole thing quick, clean and efficient. This guy had excellent service and very customer oriented. I also highly recommend John and R & S Erection of Southern Alameda County.

I was extremely impressed with their customer service. I called at 730AM on Monday morning regarding my broken garage door. They showed up like 930AM on the same day. John showed up and quickly found out the problem and fixed it. He even recommended to replace the shaft which was damaged from previous installation. John came back the next day to replace the shaft to further preventing any potential problem. He is very knowledgeable and very professional. I wish he was the guy who installed my garage at the first place. Anyway, he fixed all the problems. Very happy and highly recommended for their quality of service. Thank you so very much for everything.

The spring on my garage door opener broke at around 8:00 PM yesterday evening, leaving me unable to open the garage door. Rather than wait until morning, I called R&S Erection, who I have used in the past. The repairman, John, arrived promptly and immediately went to work. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very efficient. As it turns out, the segmented door was missing a latch pin, which caused the spring on the right side of the door to fail. I had him replace both springs, and the missing latch pin. I was very pleased and very satisfied with the work he did. I highly recommend John and R & S Erection of Southern Alameda County.

my garage door operator (GENIE) was not working correctly, I did some research and decided to go with R&S of Hayward for the new installation. The mechanic (John Hackett) arrived on time. John was very courteous and explained thoroughly everything he would be doing, he replaced all old wiring and installed new the operator and other parts in no time. I would recommend John because he is a professional, very courteous and a hard worker, everything he did works flawlessly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use john and R&S again. this repair was for a residential garage door operator.

Called R&S and spoke with a very pleasant woman who helped me with my issue. A technician was dispatched to my home to fix my garage door opener that had quit on me. The tech quickly diagnosed my problem and promptly corrected it. While here I had him install a keypad opener for the outside of my home and all was done at a fair price. I would highly recommend R&S for any garage door issues.

My garage door is now almost 3 years old and I just realized that I never wrote up a review for this company. I have to admit that I was influenced by their weird name – erection company – really! It makes me smile.
So I first price checked at what Costco was offering and then got a lower price from this company. Also my next door neighbor was using R&S to replace their door, too.
I chose the off white double door style with windows. Those windows added a little bit to the price but they are worth it because now our garage is so much brighter inside.
This door is holding up beautifully, the remote controls (2 came with the door) are great – the only problem I have is that the button on the little box on the outside wall no longer works. I need to study that a bit. Maybe I just need a new battery in it.
The workers that put in my new door were young Mexican guys that were fast, efficient and really charming. So charming in fact that I gave them my fishing rods which were hanging on the inside of old garage door.

I have called them twice & have had great service. Once, I rammed my car into the door accidentally & they promptly did the repair. Today, I called them & they were here within 90 min, & replaced the gear within 15 min of arrival — fast, courteous, knowledgable, & friendly. Nick Trinidade was the technician today.

Spring in our garage door broke. A neighbor recommended R & S. We called yesterday and they came out this morning. Fixed the broken spring and replaced the old-​about-​to-​break spring on other smaller garage door. Reasonably priced, pleasant staff, and clean job.

Stopped by here looking for ideas and pricing for wrought iron fencing.
This seems to be the place to go. They have a variety of designs and
materials. Jerry helped us and walked us through the different steps.
He was very patient helping us to figure out what we wanted and needed
and then took the time to show us our options.
Wrought iron is not inexpensive but they have different grades available
from standard off-​the-​shelf products to custom design and fabrication.
If you are considering wrought iron, I would definitely stop by and talk
to the folks at R&S!

The springs on my old garage door broke suddenly and flew across the garage while the door itself was closing, so I called R & S on a recommendation from the complex Office where I live, they came immediately to look at my door and take measurements. They came back the next morning and installed a new one, took away the old one, all within about 4 hours.
I’m very satisfied, the guys who came out were very nice and professional. I highly recommend them.
