All Purpose Painting & Restoration

I reached out to Chris via phone and quickly scheduled a visit to the house. We walked around the exterior where I explained what I was looking for. Chris answered all of my questions, and pointed out areas where I might want to bring in a contractor for repair prior to the painting.
A few days later, he emailed over a very detailed quote and agreement. His price was very reasonable. With some back and forth, he answered every single question I had. Because of the rain and customers that had booked ahead of me, I had to wait until a window came up a couple months later.
Chris came by the first day and we did another walk around the house, I had cleared away old fixtures, debris and plants that were touching the walls. The first & second day were spent washing the house and repairing cracks. After the weekend, paint began on the body and some of the trim. Work was completed with additional coats and touch-​up, remaining trim details. All in all, the whole 1-​story ranch home and fence took 4 work days. Alex arrived each day at 7.
I went with Kelly Moore Paint. I was at work for most of the work, but spent some time at home in the mornings and on the last day so a door could be removed to paint both sides. They needed access to outside water faucets and power. During the paint job, Chris and Alex would stop to ask me questions about specific details, where there would be a choice of painting like the body or trim. They also requested I notify the neighbors of the work, asked to make sure no spray off (it was windy) would reach over. They spoke wth my neighbor and corrected some bleed on the neighbor’s side from fence lattice. At the end of work, Chris pointed out a couple of new areas of the house where I probably needed repair. They also left gallons of leftover paint for body, trim, door, and fence in case I needed touchups later.
The house exterior had not been painted in about 20 years. All in all, this kind of work would not have been as thorough by me and would have taken weeks, maybe months, to do a sloppy job. The work by Chris and Alex was excellent and they are good guys.

Update for anyone considering this company… Since my original posting we have done business with Chris and team 3 more times for exterior painting, interior in our rental and trim work. Every experience is like the first and Chris is not only easy to work with but obviously takes pride and care in what he does, couldn’t recommend them enough! By the way, his prices are very competitive and he does the work himself with his own employees. He has also offered great references for other work we needed done on the exterior siding.

We hired Chris to paint the exterior of our house and the deck in our backyard. He did a thorough analysis of the work that needed to be done, including some replacement of boards that had dry rot. He made very good suggestions on enhancements and the type of paint we should use. When the project started, he arrived promptly every day, informed us on what would be done, and cleaned up thoroughly before he left. The project started and finished on time. The house and deck look great! We are very pleased with the work that Chris did, and would highly recommend him.

I would definitely recommend All Purpose Painting. Chris was very helpful with the whole process especially when it came to picking colors and finish. We got quotes from 3 painters, and he definitely had the best eye and seemed the most knowledgeable. I expected him to be the most expensive, but he was in line with the others. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Chris and his partner did a fantastic interior paint job with our place. His pricing was very reasonable and presented a fairly accurate estimate on the timeline. He was very easy to work with — offered thoughtful suggestions on the type of paint and what needed to be done. He kept us well informed on the progress throughout the job.
I also really liked was his prompt responsiveness. Any questions we had were addressed an hour or less — didn’t matter that it wasn’t during the 9 – 5 window. That wasn’t the expectation but the extra mile on the effort was certainly appreciated.

Chris is a true professional and a pleasure to work with. I found Chris through Unilocal when we needed to paint 3 rooms while moving into our new place and glad I did. We had to get the job done quickly and Chris completed it well in time. He was always very punctual and very clear with his communications — qualities I really appreciate. He offered us sound advice but always maintained that selection of colors is a personal choice and was patient to listen to all our ideas. Chris was recommended by my daughter when we were looking for someone to remove the accoustic ceilings in our home. Chris’s assistant broke his arm just as he was starting the job. Chris worked 7 days straight by his self to finish our ceilings. Our house has vaulted ceilings and is a tri-​level. Chris did a great job. Because of the work he did on the ceilings we hired him to paint both the inside and outside of our home. Chris was helpful in giving us ideas for color schemes both inside and out. We put our house on the market and we were able to sell it very quickly. I would recommend Chris and Greg to anyone looking to do painting.

Chris was referred to me when I was preparing to put my home on the market. I had a little bit of everything, repainting a ceiling in one room, the walls in another, some touch-​up, etc. I was very specific with Chris about what I needed and he delivered beyond my expectations. Chris painted the exterior of my house. He noticed a problem with the rafter and actively helped to find a fix for it. I appreciated that because he could have simply shrugged and said, not my problem. But he didnt. Because of this he had to come back a week later and finish the job, which he did. Again, very good. A lot of contractors wont bother comingback for a half days work.
I found him reliable, on time, and interested in his work. And left the place clean afterwards. His price was not the cheapest, a little expensive. For our area I think price could be little lower. We went with him because he came reccomended. Overall we were happy to have the house looking nice with minimum hassles.

Chris did an excellent job on our house (interior). It was a big job but he got it done quickly and it came out great. He did a solid job on prep work and as a result the paint job seems to be wearing very well. I would definitely recommend him.

Chris is my «go-​to» painter and problem solver. He has been reliable, reasonable, and gets the job done. He knows his stuff and gives great advice for the challenging situations. He is returning this year to do the exterior of our house and the outdoor kitchen. I have full confidence that I will be satisfied.

Chris was reasonable, trustworthy, and dependable. He painted my whole house. Due to lighting there were a few missed spots but Chris came right out and fixed it. I also had him give me an estimate for the exterior of the house. Which was also reasonable. He had free access to the house through the lockbox. I trust him completely! And will have him back!

Chris has painted several houses for me since 2009, inside and out. Each had its challenges, and he performed very well. He solved problems which were unexpected. He knows the various paint systems and describes them completely in his quote. He advises on the advantages and disadvantages of the choices he offers to clients. He is careful in his preparation and craftsmanship. I trust him to do what he says, without any supervision or follow up. I handed him keys to come and go as he pleased. He is flexible and easy to work with. His quotes are competitive. He does not work as a general contractor, but he also has a list of complimentary contractors whose work he has observed, who have similar quality and customer satisfaction standards. I recommend Chris for thorough, economical paint and related repair work.
He is also knowledgeable in residential real estate matters.

Chris did some interior painting in my condo in Dec 2012 and did an excellent job!
He was easy to contact and responded promptly. Also was very punctional which is always a great quality. Aside from his great painting skills what impressed me just as much is the time he took to prep the work areas to ensure there was no mess from him walking in and out of my unit (carpets) along with covering appliances, countertops, etc.
I will definately recommend Chris to family and friends going forward.
