Just a barn turned bar. Really small and expensive drinks. I was hoping the patio would be spacious because it looks big from the street, but it turned out to be super cramped as well. I paid $ 13 for a beer and a makers on a Sunday and the bartender wasn’t friendly at all. I paid for my drink, sucked it down, and left. Not a fun place to hang. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

This place is awesome! Always have a blast when I come here and the best place I’ve seen to do karaōke. Be prepared though, the people doing karaōke are usually quite good.

I think this is a place for regulars. That, dear reader, is A-OK. Late afternoon/early evening, I walk in and see about half a dozen vaguely hipster looking guys. No music playing. We camp out at the Golden Tee(more on this later) and get to Hole #6 before we realize that the bartender isn’t going to come get a drink order. I walk to the bar, order, wait for my two beers, tip two bucks, and go back to the game. A couple of the guys leave. The rest are ordering shots and talking up a storm. Our beers empty. The bartender is playing on her phone in the corner as it charges. I go to the bar, she tells me to hold on a sec as she stops doing whatever she was doing, and then didn’t even remember what we ordered the first time. Maybe she was high? I don’t know. Same drill, leave two bucks. One of the guys came out and put a dollar in the machine. He said his group — a foursome — had next. What is this, like putting a quarter on a pool table in the 80’s? It felt like some weird passive aggressive move and made me very uncomfortable. All of these tatted up guys are staring at me and drunkenly laughing. At this point, I felt no reason to be here except I had half a beer and money in the machine. We promptly finished and got the hell out of there. It’s been a while since I felt uncomfortable in a bar. I clearly was under the impression that I wasn’t supposed to be there. I also didn’t feel like getting into a shouting match with some underemployed guy ten years younger than me that did things like call next on Golden Tee. I’m all for local business and I wasn’t expecting much from a divey joint such as this. I think the bartender was in charge and extremely disinterested in being there, and some customers that had been there for a few hours were showing their Mule-given right to «next». It was cheap and right off the freeway, the two qualities I was seeking. I don’t have any reason to return and odds are, I won’t.

Great drinks, great pours, great music, and one of the most enjoyable patios in Fort Worth! What else do you need? Let me tell you… there’s a lot of things that will help others to move on… too smokey, too local, not enough pool tables, too crowded, too loud, not hipster enough/too hipster, not TCU enough/too TCU, too close to Camp Bowie, too hard to find, not enough personality to get the bartender’s attention, no table service with DD waitresses… that’s okay. Every bar has it’s own personality. And this one suits me perfectly! So Love it or Leave it… and I Love It! Respect the Dive! 5 Stars

Me and my buddy walk in, and wait at the bar for 10 minutes. Bartender looks at us several times, never stops or muchless asks us what we want. It became a lil game, so I wanted to know how long I could stand there without being served. After 15 minutes total, I threw in the white flag and gave up. First time to try the place, last time to ever go in. I had heard good things, but damn man, ask me for my order. I will give it to you, pay you, tip you well, and come back. Is that so hard???

I got the distinct impression on my recent stop in that The Mule Pub sees a few things that no one who frequents this place would be surprised by: the Po-Po patrolling nearby, pool tables and flat screens and(come to think of it), the neighborly chatter going down throughout. There may not be lots in the way of exterior mirrors or windows, but once you ease into your seat the locals are ready to embrace you. Not literally, of course. To that end the staff was friendly and popped over to check up on my a couple of times: I managed to saunter down during a ball game and the crowd was sufficiently happy, leaning into the evening. The bar staff(at least on this night) was super friendly, and I’m wishing them luck. Still, its a simple formula delivering a simple(if slightly smoky) reward. I’ll be back.

This is a great little spot with an abundance of character. The walls are littered with memorabilia, the ceiling has character with goods stuck to it in places, and the construct is unique: Spanish style stonework and an outdoor patio are awesome elements. One of the most unassuming location you may ever come across, for sure. The two pool tables were full all night, the karaōke was actually quite good, and the bartenders were efficient and friendly. As far as I felt, the prices were very fair and everyone I looked around and saw there seemed to really be enjoying themselves here. The patio was completely full, so its definitely a well known spot on the West side of town. I’m looking forward to bringing some friends back for another great time…

The place is cool. N ice bartenders, and staff. The peeps are cool and the beer is cheap. They have a Jukebox, and Live music once in a while. They also have a patio and outdoor bar. There’s a couple pool tables. Ehh, I have had some bad and good memories here but I guess I would just like to forget about the bad ones and never go back to this place. Maybe that’s why I am a little sour about it.

All of the great things about a good pub… good beer, good people, good bartenders, and Golden Tee. What more could you ask for? During warm weather months, they also have a great deck so you can sit back and enjoy your Guiness in style. If you make a trip, say hello to Robbie, one of the owners, and tell him Bryan sent you. Enjoy.
