Sarah Mullen

I have worked with several trainers over the past 18 years, and Sarah Mullen is the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen her turn incredibly fear-​based dogs into amazingly friendly, confident, happy dogs. She uses positive re-​enforcement and a variety of intriguing food rewards to turn dogs others were ready to put down into the most amazing companions. Even when we’ve only been able to spend a short period of time with her, my dogs have come away the better for every interaction. She may seem stringent in her requests (like requiring you not feed your dogs before training) initially, but this woman knows what she is doing!
As for a prior reviewer’s comments, I find Sarah’s people skills great, and her dog training skills more than impressive. Sometimes we get what we put out there.

Sarah Mullen is an excellent dog trainer, period. She fully understands a dogs behavior, drives, body language, and a million other things that an untrained person would not know. I have been working with her for only a few months and my 6 month old Pomeranian behaves and responds to commands better than dogs that have been in training for years. Her methods are very cut and dry, easy to follow, and are all connected so that they lead into more complicated and important behaviors down the road of training. Everything she does has a purpose. She is not a punishment based trainer. So if you want to have a happy dog that listens instead of a submissive dog that fears you, give Sarah a call.
