Established in 2010.
Partly inspired by the book Teaming With Microbes by Jeff Lowenfels and Wayne Lewis, we set out to bring a reliable source for hard-to-find natural and organic garden products to Marin County complemented with consulting and product support.
Good soil is the foundation of any successful, healthy garden. With the right products and little know-how, anyone can start improving their soil immediately and quickly see the results of common-sense gardening. — the way nature intended.

Business Owner
Born and raised in San Francisco, I got the gardening bug planting my first tomato in San Francisco sand in 1974. I read the book Teaming With Microbes which opened my eyes to an alternative way of gardening. With a little trial and error I did my best to mimic Mother Nature and focused on healthy gardening. I began to add compost, mulch, rock dust, mycorrhizae, organic fertilizers, applied compost tea and welcomed the soil foodweb. Success! My wife, who does not garden, began to comment on noticeable improvements in our yard — and I was hooked. I have enthusiastically adopted the principles of healthy gardening and am now an avid composter, worm farmer, sheet-mulcher and I follow the sustainable practices of Bay Friendly Landscaping.
