El Ranchero at Sierra Lakes

Great food… great salsa… decent atmosphere. This is the 2^nd time here and it was just as good as the first time. The flat as we’re Great and it came with a generous portion of fresh guacamole and sour cream.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews because i have worked in food service for 20 years so i know how hard it is to deliver excellent food and service consistently but i just cant let this go.
I’ve been to el ranchero three or four times and every time its terrible. The kitchen is so slow. On average 20 to 30 minutes for food. Is it not a fast casual place?
The food shows up hot but the tortillas or hot drinks are missing. I waited today for tortillas for another 10 plus minutes and received the wrong kind when they arrived. By the time we got 1 of 2 orders correct and ate, my food was cold. The second order never arrived. Something like this happens every time i go. The food is not bad but not homemade and not worth the wait or multiple trips to the counter to remind or get food products.
Last time we waiting a solid 25 minutes and they couldnt find our table. The cashier left our food at the counter. We were the only people in the whole place that were not eating. I went to the counter and requested my plates because they were just sitting in the window.

Items in another apparent cashier mishap. I didnt realize til i got back from the restroom. What did they do with that plate? No idea.
I have seen the manager once. You would think he would be out there managing the business. Nope. Cooks slow and cashier clueless. He must be super busy doing something?
They also charge .35 cents for a credit card which is a violation of the credit card user agreement.
I have tried my very best to give the benefit of the doubt here but goodness sakes. Get your act together el ranchero!
Needless to say I will got be back for a 5^th waste of an hour for cold food and missing items.

Too slow. Chips are stale. They don’t have enough staff and they get upset when we ask how much longer until we get our good.

Just finished eating the greatest carne burrito I have had in a long time. For 5 bucks you really can’t beat it and the combination of their house salsa which has the greatest kick I’m talking legendary short wait and solid customer service compliments to the cook !

Never coming here again only reason I gave it two stars is because the service was good. I got a shrimp burrito and some of the shrimp tasted like dirt. And some of the black vein looking string were still attached glad to know I’m being served shrimps digestive tract.

I give this place two stars the waiting time for your food was ridiculous today… and one customer never even received her meal and waited half an hour while the rest of her family ate she had to remind them about her missing food… I ordered chicken enchilada combo the rice was too dry the beans barely had any cheese on them and they were very skimpy on the cheese and sauce that was supposed to go on the enchilada… the chicken was very good however everything pretty much was blah I’m very disappointed this place is not a cheap place to eat maybe another day will be better…

I ordered a shrimp cocktail from this place and I have to be forthright by saying it was the very worse shrimp cocktail I have ever had in my almost 30 years of eating shrimp cocktails in and around Fontana. I called this to the mgrs. attention and he was very indifferent and showed no interest at all. By the way, the chips were stale. However, I would like to end this with something positive. Their red salsa was very hot and the green had a nice flavor. I give one star because I can’t give them any less.

Taco Tuesday is a definite must!
18 $ 1 tacos shared between 2 people & we finished every bite! Highly recommend the carne asada. Al pastor was alright. Also, love the salsa bar :)
On another note, I would not buy the carne asada quesadilla again. Yes, did taste pretty flavorful but I had to use 3 napkins to wipe off all the oil it was swimming in.
Update: Went again recently and, sad to say, the tacos are a big hit or miss. Either super flavorful or dry and dull. Btw, don’t buy the fish/​shrimp tacos. Waste of $$

Just had the Milanesa plate to go when I got home and opened it up I was so disappointed to find two little pieces of meat smaller than a kids hand. I just paid $ 10.00 for kids meal. I eat here with my family all the time I even refer my friends. I was very disappointed I hope this doesn’t continue.

So slow, 30 minutes to get 1 order to go. 39 cent charge on all debit/​credit purchases regardless of meal cost, nasty bus boy cart in middle of the dining room, not even enough space to stand and wait. Will not return

I finally decide to give this place a chance and I was not disappointed:) I love fell in love with there carne asada super burrito, I craved it for a week straight. Salsa’s are delicious only down side was the carnitas were lacking seasoning but over all totally recommend this place.

Shrimp burrito was 7.99 but the portion wasn’t right comparing to the price. It was delicious pero es muy chiquitto xD. The server was polite and cute though… but not the burrito ese. fix it and I’ll give you 5 stars.

Terrible service all the tables were dirty and no worker walking around cleaning tables off. The basket of chips had a total of 10 chips to share between two people.

Young girl with glasses at register was kind of rude. Ordered carne asada tacos and meat was hard and bland. Guacamole was also bland.

I came in around 1 for lunch. I had the finish and shrimp tacos witch they were by far one of the best I’ve had, however it took a long time for them to come out. Buy trust me the wait was well worth it!

I seriously LOVE this place. Everyone here is seriously nice, even when they are about to close and one can see the tiredness on their faces. I have never had a complaint, even when they didn’t make my burrito wet as I had asked. I was still satisfied because my burrito was awesome. I will say that since more and more people are starting to find their way to this place, it may be best if you have a large order to order ahead. Meaning, if you are going to order for 4 or more people, order ahead and pick up. The wait time is cut down by a huge amount, therefore eliminating any hunger anger. I have had everything on their menu even their super burrito and I still love everything. Definitely a must try if you are in North Fontana.

Just tried this place last week. Great food, without the whole sit down, waitress ordeal but nice and clean enough with big screens sports and beer.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! The beef tacos are amazing! We had a couple hours to kill and popped in here to snack. Ordered the beef tacos and was simply amazed! Juicy and flavorful as well as the rice and beans. Oh and don’t pass up on their homemade salsa!!!
Wish I lived closer!

THIS restaurant right here? Hmmm let me start by saying the place is always clean the staff is super friendly. Now as for the food… WOW! Where do I start. I had a catering for work done through them and everything was hot, ready on time,(half hour lunch limit) delish. I ordered chicken and beef tacos, rice, beans yummy. staff was impressed… when I go there I will either get yummy green Chile burrito, my fav is chille rellenos, out of this world. if I want simpler I go for the tacos. omg!
Ok.and if its that Sunday morning AFTER? 1 word. M E N U D O .
Hungry already. on my way.

First time here EXCELLENT… fresh fresh beans rice cheese enchiladas chips & salsa… the little street tacos are soooo good
Will DEFINITELY be back :-)
