A very big an high ceiling Caffe Bene. There are plenty of tables and seats but usually filled with people, a lot of Asians of all ages from students to grandmas. It can get very noisy and loud in there. Never really a long line there even if it’s packed in there because everyone’s just chilling and sitting down with no drink or food. It’s too loud in there to read or study. But people use laptops in there because there are outlets. I do not like how the bathroom is in the space next to Caffe Bene and down the stairs and has a passcode. So make sure you know the code before you walk down because you’d either have to wait for someone to come out of the bathroom(if someone’s already in there) or walk back upstairs and get the dam code. I walk by it everyday before and after work. I’ve gotten coffee from here before in the morning, bland and watered down coffee and too pricey. Would pass on that. But for their bread and pastries, there are a lot of varieties. I’ve also gotten their mango and Passionfruit smoothie, I always get that when I’m in smoothie mood and nice weather calls for one.

Considering this is in the center location of Flushing, it is pretty big. There are plenty of seats. The drinks are good, service was great. Their desserts are excellent, we had the chocolate Black Forest cake.

Caffebene has been opening up many locations around Queens. This is one of the new locations in the Flushing area. I like this location because the seatings and décor are comfortable and designed to allow you to sit, drink coffee, eat desserts and foods, and chat with friends. Their food choices are good. There are sweet things if you have sweet tooth. They have sandwiches if you prefer salty tooth. I tried their spicy chicken sandwich and I have to say it is spicy but so good. It is definitely worth the spiciness. I only get their iced coffee due to being lactose intolerant. Their coffee taste is just the right amount of strength. Customer service is good. They get your order ready at a good time. Location is great. 39th Avenue is a quieter street and not crowded at all which is a plus.

Located on one of the less crowded street in Flushing, this is one of the nicer Caffe Bene. They have small tables you can share with a friend or two and large communal tables that you can share with other people. There are outlets near certain tables. You order at the front. If you order a drink, someone will call your drink order and then you go up to grab it. If you order food, you will get a buzzer that will buzz when your order is ready. I ordered the waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. The waffle was so tiny and doused in a mountain of whipped cream with slices of strawberries between the waffle and whipped cream and a whole strawberry on top of the mountain of whipped cream. It was delicious, of course, but the small portion is not worth $ 5.95. To use their bathroom, you have to go downstairs to the basement. Also, before you go down, make sure to ask someone at the front for the code or else you won’t be able to access their bathroom.

Walked over for dessert. We orders a slice of cheesecake cake and waffles with strawberries and whipped cream to go. The cheesecake carried well. But the waffle is a bit on the messy side. But at least it’s fresh made. Love their fresh made liege waffles which are light, airy, sweet and chewy. Oh and the complimentary chest bread? It’s okay. I would not go out of my way to buy it. There are bits of chestnut and raisins but on the dense side

The cashier was rude and very unwilling to help. I ordered two Frappes she only put one in the order and had the nerves to tell me I wasn’t spending enough to use my debit card… don’t know but she really turned me off.

Me and my friends would come here after school a lot or on the weekend to eat and chat, also to do our homework. The food is great and they have great service. I love there caramel latte macchiato, also there honey bread with caramel and cinnamon. I am most likely going to come here today.

We ordered a Mango Peach medium drink — which was Eh, very fake mango taste that’s overly sweet($ 5.25) A café latte small that was nowhere as good as Starbucks but priced the same!($ 3.50) And finally an «original waffle» which was undercooked with raw dough that was extra stretchy-chewy and was stuck to the paper plate… so we went back and I had to show them the oozing raw dough so they remade one for us(which took a while) only to get one that was slightly burnt and still RAW! and AGAIN stuck to the paper plate… so when you try to remove it, it comes with pieces of paper stuck onto the waffle!($ 4.25) Very disappointing little meal… will not return. Also on a side note — some of the people behind the counter don’t speak good English which makes it hard to ask which drink they recommend or which is the most popular, they have a difficult time answering.

Cute place with wifi and plenty of seating. Only tried the Café Saigon and it was so delicious! Four stars for food and coffee, minus one star for the over priced drinks.

This one isn’t so crowded even on a Friday night. There’s plenty of room for 8 people group to two people. It isn’t loud and its comfortable. I ordered cookies and cream ice parfait for 12.25! Luckily I shared it because it’s huge! Its like having yogurt shaved ice inbetween red beans and Oreo shavings. A whole Oreo on top of a large scoop of vanilla ice cream! Its very delicious and sweet. Not too sweet where it hits your sweet tooth hard. Well come back to try their wafles!

Honestly, I don’t get the low rating here. This is the biggest Caffe Bene I’ve ever seen(both in the U.S. and in Korea), and everything is clean and furnished nicely. The staff were generally attentive and treated the customers well. I got the patbingsoo(red bean bingsoo) to share with my friend, and it was pretty great — not as magical as Sulbing, but great for American standards. Plus we got a huge scoop of gelato! There’s also free wifi, if you need it. Overall, it’s just a great place to convene with friends, and the atmosphere is super chill. The only thing that might be a downer is that the A/C is cranked up way too low, so bring a jacket if you don’t want to freeze(even in the middle of summer). :P Other than that, I had a great experience and am definitely coming back again.

I honestly don’t understand the poor rating here. Seems that the staff is the big downer here, but I didn’t experience that. They were in general nice and attentive. But mix in pretty darn decent food(which I had for the first time in all my visits to Caffebene), great atmosphere, and normally really good espresso-based drinks and this place is definitely 4-stars. The Flushing location is da bomb when it comes to the crowd. This place is packed, but is big so there seems to always be a table or two within 5 minutes of waiting. Ultimate people-watching spot really. The Americano here wasn’t as good as the ones I had in the L.A. locations. But their sandwiches and mojito were really good(although they need more shrimp in their sandwich). I don’t know, if I live in the area and I’m up for a chat or working on my laptop, I’m coming here.

The décor in this place is very consistent with other caffe benes. It is warm and clean. When you walk in, the staff will greet you. The drinks are quite good at a reasonable price for a Korean coffee shop. For the ample space, you would think many people would want to chat with friends, work on projects and such. But the latter is a rather hard task to do. Their wifi is either slow or inoperable. The whole location has only 1 power outlet so if you’re not sitting there, then you won’t be able to charge your device, and the worst part is their restroom. I don’t understand why they have such a huge location and then choose to not have a restroom. If you’re in the unlucky situation where you have to go, then make enough time to go to the adjoined building, go downstairs and then find the single bathrooms.

I’ve never tried café bene at all, and this location ruined my first time experience. Prices were pretty expensive! I ordered a green tea gelato with a waffle and two macarons(strawberry & chocolate). I could barely taste the green tea in the gelato and the waffle tasted hard and slightly burnt. The macarons were the worst! When I broke the macarons in half, I could see that they were not properly baked and was probably from many days ago. In fact, nothing seemed fresh.

I’ve been here countless times and always experience the same service quality — it is very mediocre. The place itself is very spacious, which I love. Although it can get quite crowded during certain times of the day, I still find it a great place to do my work as long as I have my headphones. It’s also a great place to catch up with a friend. I love the fact that they offer Wi-Fi –although it’s either extremely slow or inoperative at times. They also have bathrooms downstairs, which I can appreciate! The prices are similar to most Korean bakery/cafés — a bit overpriced — but it’s not a problem for me for I do splurge on it once in a while. They started offering a decent selection of baked goods. I’m very reluctant to try it though because when they first opened and offered a small selection of bread, it tasted horrible. I couldn’t justify them compared to the breads at other bakeries such as Paris Baguette, Koryodang, or Tous Les Jours. So I am a bit hesitant to purchase the baked goods here but I might just buy ‘em to see if they’re review worthy. The mango peach smoothie tasted pretty alright to me. I didn’t taste any bit of real fresh fruit in there but it wasn’t bad. Also, the cinnamon honey bread was also pretty good! If I were to ever crave that, I would probably get it again without a second thought.

Before there is Caffebene in downtown flushing, my friends and I always go to the one in Northern Blvd. This place is very spacious with a lot of seating options(few of their tables are humongous). It gives the customers more privacy because the tables in Northern Blvd are so close to each other that I could hear other people’s conversations… how awkward is that? When we first entered the store, the staffs greeted us with an energetic cheer«Welcome to Caffebene!» They were cheering for every customer that walks in the store until late in the evening(props for them). I ordered a medium hot chocolate and it was the most bitter hot chocolate I ever tasted. I give them credit for using legit chocolate pieces(not the powder kind) for the beverage. However, I would rather stick with their coffee the next time I visit. I didn’t have any horrible experience with their service. It was alright. Average. Don’t get me started with the bathroom. It was like a maze runner. You have to take the elevator to the basement and then turn left(there are arrows that points to the bathroom). Such an inconvenience for customers. What happens if the elevator breaks down and you really have to pee? The basement looks like something Dexter would use for his serial killing… very sketchy.

Yay, finally Caffebene comes to Downtown Flushing. This is the biggest Caffebene I’ve seen thus far! Lots of seating options here and free wifi. I did not experience any trouble with the service, perhaps because I went at 10PM. The kitchen was closed already, so my friends and I tried the Pistachio Cheesecake. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!! I recently also tried the Pistachio Waffle. absolutely delicious! The fruit bingsu is my favorite dessert to get here, but they are discontinued(I think because of the winter). Can’t wait for them to bring it back! For lunch, I’ve tried the Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich. It’s a decent size and great tasting. The only negative was the amount of time it took to prepare the sandwich. I waited about 15 – 20 minutes for the sandwich to be prepared. I’m surprised they don’t make and sell cakes here. I think they would do really well.

SLOWSERVICE #theEND Ordered a simple Coffee Danish TOGO and it took awhile for them to complete my simple order because they had to look for a bag. What? Are you kiddin’ me? There is no bag to be found? Then how were they taking TOGO orders before me? SMH. Sorry, for that reason, I am out. Maybe I will revisit when the service picks up a speed. SIGH!

was craving a warm waffle with vanilla gelato but got let down when they said the kitchen was closed! it’s a Sunday and they said the kitchen closes an hour before the store so basically kitchen closes at 9pm and café closes at 10pm. womp womp what a sad night for a pregnant woman craving a warm waffle at 9:30pm. anyways the workers were really nice and I was still craving something sweet so I went for the tiramisu. it was $ 5.50 comes in a cute box since I got it to go and it’s made in a cute glass bowl which I will be reusing! the tiramisu itself was not good, very airy, missing something … did not enjoy it and will not get it again kinda making me sick feeling right now. btw there’s a $ 10 minimum in credit cards. I’m coming back for my waffle and gelato!
