This place was very disappointing. I will tell you that I got there with a few of my friends on a Friday night at 10 pm. I do realize they close at 11 but as we were ordering they basically told us they were out of everything we wanted… I couldn’t even get a simple latte. What we did order was bland and stale. Apple tart was all jelly, no apple to be seen. Pastries had no taste. Coffee wasn’t even hot! Service was also very slow and they seem flustered because we were 6 people ordering. It looked cute from the outside but I wouldn’t go back. If you are going to close at 11 pm you should offer your full menu even at 10 pm.

DONTGETTHE Caramel Cinnamon Misugaru or Cranberry Almond Misugaru if you don’t like oatmeal textured, thick protein style drinks. it’s hearty so don’t get it if you expecting a flavorful Starbucks kinda frappé I mean, im about that healthy lifestyle… would be nice if there was a fair warning cos my hopes on a tasty drink went down :(

Came here to study with a friend and ordered a vanilla latte with soy milk which they did not charge extra for! Caffe bene is really spacious so there are a lot of tables to sit down and study or do whatever. They also have outlets and free wifi. Their wifi is super fast! The interior is really and it gives a nice atmosphere!

I always used to go here with my friends and today was no different, but one of the cakes I ordered had mold on a big chunk of it :(The worker was incredibly nice and gave me a refund though!!! Bene, please don’t serve old food. My tummy doesn’t feel good and now we’re gonna have trust issues.

Pros: place is nice and quiet whenever I go after work to study. This is the only reason I come here Cons: service is lame, all young kids who don’t care. $ 10 credit card minimum. Food: normal prime location so pricing not the best for quality Drink: normal nothing special

The wifi is terrible here but not as slow as bean& bean. If you have time Warner cable account, just log into TWCWifi instead. I had the bingsoo here last year and remembered it being expensive with a load of ice inside. This time I had the honey bread with walnut and banana. It was yummy. I also ordered The ice tea lemonade. It was super sour. Not recommended if you are not a fan of really sour stuff. The single tables here are pretty uncomfortable so if you are looking to study here. I do not recommend. I liked the group tables in the back better which were a bit higher. But there was a sign that says these tables are reserved for groups after 3pm. It was pretty loud here on a Sunday afternoon. I would recommend this place if you just wanted to grab dessert /coffee, eat, chat and leave. I also had a really hard time looking for outlets here to charge my laptop… There were barely any, unless it’s hidden somewhere on the walls… or on the floors.

Had to write this review immediately! The WORST Customer Service Ever! I would give this location negative stars if I could!!! I will NEVER be returning back here!!! Craving Honey Toast, my husband and I found that this location was open till 11pm. We came by and after waiting for 5+ mins the cashier/staff finally comes to take our order. I ordered 1 order of the honey toast and she said, «our kitchen is closed». So I responded, when does the kitchen close? Your site shows that your open till 11pm. She replied, «our kitchen closes at 10pm(without looking at the time) and walks away. I look at my watch and its 9:53pm, so I go back to her and say that there’s till time before 10, and she immediately responds, «let me go ask my kitchen staff(she literally turned right back) and states, oh, we don’t have the ingredients» WTF! At least make the lie believable! I’m never coming back to this location and seriously hope their management takes a look at this review to improve their business or else soon they will have no customers left to serve!!!

Pros: — The gochujang chicken sandwich never disappoints! My boyfriend and I order this everytime — I like their waffles, and the brunch sets are nice but a bit pricey. — The honey toast(with the cheese) is really yummy but definitely needs to be shared. It is very big and quite heavy. — I love the misugaru frappé! Cons — The ice cream is overpriced, and tastes horrible. I love green tea ice cream but couldn’t even finish theirs. — The shaved ice is also not that great, on the bland side.

Only had the decaffeinated tea, African Roiboos $ 2.50(I love roiboos so it was great) and Brownie cheesecake $ 5.50 which was surprisingly good! Very New York Style, extremely decadent and artery clogging. The place is very chill, at least at the time we came which was 9:45pm(closes at 11pm). Love the extra large tables and seats. Definitely recommended for late night hang out with nondrinkers! Kitchen closes at 9:30pm apparently, so couldn’t order the waffles. BOO. If you want that, call to ask when they close or go earlier. Creditcard minimum $ 10. Parking metered weekdays until 10pm($ 0.25 per 15 minutes)

I love this place! It’s a Korean take on European coffee shops. Their hot & cold coffee is always good, and their gelato is great. I like that they have simple syrup for iced coffee. The waffles are really good for a late breakfast. Service is always friendly and quick. They have a front porch with outdoor seating, which is rare for this neighborhood. It’s really lovely on a warm summer night. I like doing work here, also — inside doesn’t get too noisy and has great décor. It’s a great place to grab a nice cup of coffee and a small sweet bite — best coffee shop in the area, in my opinion! Only Criticisms: I wish they had a wider selection of milks — soy or almond. They only have whole milk & half and half. Im not a huge fan of the pastries — they’re super rich and heavy.

I’m not the biggest fan of Korean pastry and bakery chains but this place made me happy. Situated in the former Galaxy Café location, this place specializes in coffee, waffles, ice cream and shaved ice. The waffles were surprisingly good, similar to the Liege waffles sold by Waffles and Dinges. Gelato was decent but the shaved ice was the winner here. It’s a bit pricy for the amount you get but the quality is decent. The outdoor seating is also a nice plus.

I love this caffebene! It’s spacious, has patio seating, and the staff are very nice! My girlfriend and I decided to come here after our lunch and at first we wanted to sit on the patio. But due to the blazing hot weather(literally we were sweating after a minute of sitting down) we made up our mind to sit inside instead. My girlfriend ordered the Cookies & cream frappuccino and I got the double –shot cappuccino. As for dessert, we got the strawberry with whipped cream honey bread. Omg! that honey bread tasted delicious! it was so good that I ate 2⁄3 of it. By the time my girlfriend finish talking she looked at the plate and it was nearly gone. I’m definitely coming back to try their other honey bread flavors.

Koreanisches Café in Flushing, New York.

Just another installment of café bene. All of the drinks are way overpriced for what they offer. My friend and I got strawberry smoothie and mango smoothie. For some ungodly reason they decided that it was a good idea to put orange juice into the smoothies… why anyone would use orange juice for filler is beyond me but they did it. It resulted in 6 dollars worth of nasty smoothie… The«parfaits»(just call them bingsoo) are severely lacking. Most of them could be made at home with a regular ice shaving machine and I find it hard to justify buying such sad pieces of work for 15 dollars. There are plenty of other smaller cafes that provide better bingsoo for your buck. Oh and their wifi does not work currently.

I love this coffee chain franchise. There’s always plenty of seating and usually the wifi work. This location’s wifi didn’t work but optimum wifi is nearby. There’s a nice outdoor seating area here. But, no smoking. I got a medium misagaru latte $ 5.06. not back for me to sit here for and hour and write reviews.

Came here for dessert for Girls Night after dinner to fill our sweet cravings and to continue conversing. We ordered the Banana Walnut Honeybread, a mocha cake slice cake, and a a tiramisu cake slice. The cakes were meh but the Banana Walnut Honeybread was really good and I loved how it wasn’t so sweet. I also had a Green Tea Frappé which was really good because I liked how it wasn’t so sweet. I would like to come back and try the other Honeybread flavors as well as their shaved iced dessert.

Hands down. one of the best late night coffee’s I have ever had. Not to mention how can I forget about this place when I literally pulled an idiotic move leaving my wallet on top of the paper towel dispenser in the restroom. Walked out, ordered my coffee & no wallet! Service was great, surprised the place was pretty packed for a Sunday evening in the cold.

I love eating shaved ice here, I absolutely love the tropical bingsu that they have here. maybe because i absolutely love mango and I am bias. I also tried something recently that I love it is the strawberry waffle and cream cheese. Taste wonderful. Their drinks… i have never been super fond of. One thing I really need t complain about is their chairs and tables. I feel like theyre for super short people. I am 5’6 and when I sit down my knee is above the table… So everytime I go there usually im really far from the table or my legs are on the side.

It’s time to get abandon by the wife(her friend’s babyshower) and find a place to burn 3 hours of my day time. So let’s spin the wheel and see what Korean café we got? OHhhH Caffebene! Caffebene is on Northern Blvd where the old Galaxy used to be(am I dating myself a little bit here?) it’s walkable distant from the H-Mart Plaza Parking: This definitely depends on the time and hour you are going, the place is super popular and it’s definitely harder to find parking on weekends and especially nights where students have midterms/finals.Your best bet is on-street metered parking but if you are desperate, try the other side of Northern Blvd in the more residential area. Seating: The place is big and can accommodate at least 30 to 40 people easily. More in Summer since they offer outside patio seating. Ambiance: Caffebene makes you feel like you just walked into a study room in college. it’s filled with shelves, fake books, and small couches. The place is very bright because of all the tall glass windows and natural lighting. As the name suggested, this place is a café and people mainly come here to either have an extensively long conversation, hangout, chat or to study. So yes the place is usually filled with a younger crowd(except today since I was there) I’m not sure how the food fair in Caffebene since I never had any and the drinks never impressed me much but I will have to say their MACARONS are pretty legit and there are tons of flavors to choose from! Super chewy and then it just melts in your mouth! Delicious. Price: Above average– Drinks range around Starbucks prices and dessert are around $ 7-$ 10 dollar. Macarons are $ 2 each! Overall: Caffebene is definitely a great place to catch up with friends and study. Just remember why you are coming to this place for(AMBIANCE and Comfortable seating) and you will be alright!

Having completed a belated birthday dinner my group of four needed a sugar fix. Enter Caffèbene. A really nicely decorated café that looks similar to most cafes: bookshelves, couches, coffee tables, etc. We really wanted to try the shaved ice but they had a sign that said they were sold out. So here’s how it went: «What is that in the display case… waffles you say… did I hear you have gelato too?» «Yes, make that four waffles with gelato!» The waffle was excellent with a nice crunchy & toasty exterior and a warm soft cake interior. Of note was the yummy flavor of the waffle batter; as I can best describe it as a rich taste, reminiscent of the famous Hong Kong cakes you can buy in most metropolitan Chinatown’s. If you don’t know what I’m referring to, google it and you can get an idea of the flavor profile. To pair with the waffle, I had the vanilla bean gelato that was nice and creamy. My friends each had the same albeit with the mango gelato which they said was excellent as well. Considering my pending long drive home(Flushing to Central NJ), I added a medium hot coffee which was pretty good. Not too strong and not to light; though oddly they did not have hazelnut, which I think most café’s would have as a standard flavoring?

After coming here a few more times, I’m sad to say that I have to downgrade my 4-star review to a 1-star review for 3 major reasons: [1] The iced coffee is TERRIBLE. Weak and tastes like water. Somehow, I always forget and keep coming back here whenever I’m in the neighborhood. [2] You CAN’T study here. It’s a café and it looks scholarly with their bookshelves and a huge timeless clock piece but it gets incredibly loud like a cafeteria, especially now in the summer. [3] The desserts I have tried so far are lacking. Their pistachio cheesecake tasted like it was refrigerated overnight(or many nights). I didn’t dare to try their waffles again after the first time(see original review — toppings ruined the waffle so why would I get a waffle without any fruit, cream cheese, or gelato?). The desserts I can overlook but a café with weak coffee and obnoxious noise level is sadly not a very good café in my opinion. One star for looking pretty though. I really like their décor and terrace A LOT. It’s such a shame I had to stop coming here.
