Haven Property Management

We could not have been more pleased with Haven Property Management. We had a very specific idea in mind for the type of home we were looking to rent. James hit it out of the park! We couldn’t be happier with the communication, management, ease of service and professionalism. We couldn’t be more pleased.

We’ve been using Haven for a few months and am very pleased with everything so far. They found a renter for us very quickly and Richard, who covers the Tacoma area, is very professional and has met our communication expectations. We’ve recommended Haven once so far.

James has taken care of my properties for over 4 years now. He always makes time for my every need. It was hard at first for me to hand over the keys of a home that I have remodeled, lived and sweat over yard work for years, but James has surpassed all expectations and I find myself to be extremely lucky to have found him. He takes care of everything and has earned my trust. (Which isn’t easy). I would recommend Haven to anyone, and dare you to find a better property management company.

I decided to go with Haven Property Management after an exhaustive review of property management options in Federal Way. The consistency in positive reviews for Haven Property Management and James Hernandez led my wife and I to decide on using Haven to manage our property. Being an active duty servicemember with no exact timeline for returning to the area, I was looking for someone that could give us the peace of mind that our property will be cared for in our absence. James and his team exceeded our expectations and offered a variety of realistic options to get our home ready for its new tenant. Despite the short notice, James found us a tenant and had our home in better shape than it was in the last 10 years. Throughout the process, James consistently called or emailed to let me know the status of where we were at in renovations and rental applications. I would recommend Haven to anyone interested in having an experienced property manager that understands the concerns and needs of both the landlord and tenant. The positive reviews are no surprise given our experience with Haven.

We live out of state (but grew up in the area). We purchased our home in University Place, WA as an investment property — and was rented as a VRBO — until we became frustrated with our VRBO property manager (of which there are really only 2 to choose from in the area) and realized we had to either rent longer-​term or sell.
Ideally, we wanted to keep the property as a longer-​term investment, so we interviewed a few of the more well-​known agencies — and even entered into the contract negotiations status with one of the «top» agencies in the area. After becoming overly frustrated dealing with them, we became desperate and sought out a smaller company that would be able to provide more personalized service.
I can’t remember how I found Haven — but am so grateful. Especially given that we are out of state — finding an agency who is responsive was of #1 importance.
Haven was able to find a long-​term tenant in fairly short-​order during the slowest time of the year. Our home had never been on the rental market before, so there were a few maintenance issues that needed to be looked into early on. Haven handled all of this for us — meeting with the service providers and making sure everything was in order.
As a property owner (and wanting to ensure our tenants are happy), I am highly impressed with the responsiveness with which Haven responds to tenant inquiries. I receive phone calls within minutes of tenant questions — or when I might have questions of my own.

My mother and I have been working with James as our property manager for many years. We’ve recently switched to Haven, so that my mom can continue to have her property managed by James since they’ve establish a great professional relationship. Due to English not being her first language, I was the liaison when it came to most communications. James has been prompt with all communications and provided us with information whenever we had questions or concerns.

James worked tirelessly to market, screen and lock in quality tenants for our beloved home of 12+ years. If you are looking for a hardworking Property Management… one who is honest gives you the truth right from the get-​go, works until whenever… cuz he’s showing our Rental Property at 6:30pm (we have an investment in Federal Way, WA, but reside in Hawaii)…than look NO further! James has exceeded our expectations. Always returns my calls, keeps me updated, always in a great mood.

I had to work with James on my rental property. He is very easy to talk and professional on his work.
