History

Established in 1975.

Relles Sound was started in 1975 specializing in acoustic music sound reinforcement in the Northwest. The company currently provides State of The Art Sound Systems for large music and corporate events throughout the Northwest which include venues such as Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene, Hult Center, Eugene, Cuthbert Amphitheater, Eugene, INB Center, Spokane, Arlene Schnitzer Hall, Portland, Rose Garden, Portland, Benaroya Hall, Seattle, and the Chiles Center, Portland. Relles Sound is also the authorized dealer for Meyer Sound Labs in Oregon. Other dealer lines include: DPA Microphones, Shure Microphones, Soundcraft, Radial, Ramtech, Whirlwind, CBI, Rapco.

Business Owner

George Relles graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Biology in 1972, and spent a year in Graduate School at the Univesity of Oregon in Biophysics. He started playing banjo for Mason Williams’ Bluegrass Symphony Pops Concerts in 1974 and later performed with Mason Williams’ ‘Of Time and Rivers Flowing’ concerts. George started Relles Sound in 1975 as a result of dissatisfaction with the State of The Art in 1975. George Relles is currently the owner/​operator of Relles Sound and an independant audio engineer who has worked on World Tours of Lucian Pavarotti, Osvaldo Golijov’s ‘LaPasion’, Mason Williams Symphony Pops, and Halie Loren, China Tour.
