I was there today to get the smog for my car done, Frank was really helpful and did everything right the first time. He also told me that I need new tires and referred to a place in Escondido. He said he always refers his customers there and they get good deals on tires. Definitely going back to Kwik Smog again!

This place not only tries to squeeze every dime out of the smog test but the guy has the unprofessional way to tell me his ink was low and would write things by hand.
Get this, i called few minutes ago and he quoted me a decent price. I showed up and he gave me a very high quote. Had to tell him i called him not too long ago.
He charges for credit/​debit use 2dollars.
Overall, bad business, horrible practices and insincere guy to get more out of you.

As others have said… call first! When you walk in the door, it’s $ 65. If you call first, it’s $ 50 There’s a $ 20 coupon on the website but it’s worthless… the $ 50 is the «bottom price», which is fine, you aren’t going to get a smog for much less. And the price doesn’t include the $ 8.25 certificate fee. Overall, I’m happy, and would go back.

Got me in and out in ten minutes! Friendly service and they’re STAR certified. Cost 70 for my 1993 Honda Accord, only bummer was their card machine was down so I had to walk over to the market next door and get cash back.

Frank is the man! Quick, easy, painless, quote was correct, great price, location is amazing, chairs outside to sit in the sun while you wait, even though it doesn’t take long! A clean professional appearance! Friendly, I recommend to all! I read previous review before I went, I don’t believe any of the negative reviews but my experience was so amazing! UPDATE: On my second visit (wife’s car) I couldn’t find a Pennysaver coupon, so I printed the $ 20 off coupon on their site. I called ahead to confirm the price with coupon: $ 50. Not as good of a deal as my last smog in December, but still a decent value.
When I checked out the invoice said $ 65. I wish I’d seen these other reviews mentioning that YOU HAVE TO BRING UP THE PHONE QUOTE otherwise they will charge more than quoted. Assuming there was a crossed wire somewhere I just paid the $ 65.
I still give them 2 stars for convenience and ok pricing, but I won’t be using EP Smog again, just for the fact that the price quoted over the phone varied from what I was charged and I’m not into haggling over prices. If I’d sent in my wife and she was overcharged it would’ve made me more angry.
