My favorite for diablitos and unique flavors. I come here all the time. It’s open until at least 9 to satisfy your cravings. I highly recommend this place!

I’m here like all the time, everything I’ve tried is delicious. Satisfy every craving sweet, spicy, salty, nutty whatever! Lol. Wish the place were a little bigger, it gets pretty crowded if families try to come in and place an order and the parking is tiny and sucks but when your food is good nobody cares. I’ll park in the back alley if I have to :)

I ordered two cups of corn, took about 10ish minutes. Kinda long, not really complaining though, I was busy talking with my friends. Decent quality stuff.

I saw a picture of elote in Instagram months ago and it has been haunting me and my Unilocal bookmarks. So when we found ourselves with some extra time in Escondido I suggested(okay demanded) that we make a slight detour. FYI they do not speak English in this place. So read the menu and practice it before you order. So through some hand gestures and my Spanglish I managed to order my two toddlers a Popsicle each and my husband and I an elote and mango loco to share. Upon getting the Popsicle my daughter immediately dropped hers on the floor. The woman working saw and insisted on giving us a new one for free, how sweet! They double checked with us a few times if we really wanted all the hot sauce. Yes, we gringos want ALL the hot sauce but thanks for looking out for us. It was delicious and I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Over priced To top it off, if you want your food in a to go box, they charge extra $$$ like who does that? –For the amount they charge, they should have bigger servings but they dont its like theyre stingy with how much they serve! Dont live in the area but came to visit a nearby place this weekend and they got my order totally wrong today! Never going back!

My friend took me here several months ago, and I loved it. It has a great variety of food, treats, and ice cream as well. I had a combination plate, with typical beans and rice. The employees were very nice, the food was great, however it was a very small space being a hole in the wall joint. I can’t wait to go back!

I’m changing my review on this place because of consistency. I’ve ordered here probably about 15 times. Each time it is different and it is always a hassle to order. One time I was able to speak to a lady working who told me how I should order the drink… even when I came back and she was there… I ordered the exact way she told me, they look at me like it’s some magical drink that doesn’t exist… it taste so good if you guys could just get it right! Sometimes I’m served the drink warm, it’s horrible! I just don’t get it… Im told to order orange jugo, with pianpple, blend with ice. I dont care if you pour over ice… just serve it cold. like an orange pina Agua fresca… after my third hot orange juice yesterday… I’m done. Oh well!

My husband and I went to buy some tostilocos, the two ladies were so rude, they didnt even say hi back to us, we were the only customers and we wait 20 min for them. I didn’t left because we paid for the tostilocos already. not coming back.

This place is so amazing! I actually went 2 times in one day. Amazing selection of food. I had the tostilocos and the chamango and the TJ tacos. My family loved all of it. The only thing I would change is that it’s cash only. But I defiantly recommend it!

Great place for fruity concoctions, ice cream, & Mexican antojitos! The owner and staff are very friendly. I have tried the elote prepado & mangoliada. Very good and great price… I’ll be back often to try the many other goodies.

I loved this place. It’s totally a hole In the wall in a strip mall in Escondido, but it was worth the visit. A large cup of ice cream allows for 6 fairly small scoops. I forget the price, but nothing exorbitant. We got mamey(heaven), coco(OMG), arroz con leche(comfort on a spoon), pistachio(so flavorful), fresa con crema(heart), and leche quemada(maybe too much smokey flavor to go with our other flavors, but could have been good in a different combo). They have food as well, but we had already eaten. Cash only, but not pricey, and free parking.

LOVETHISMEXICANICECREAMSTORE It not only has ice cream but you can order food as well. I’ve not yet tried the food but as for the ice cream holy yum all the ice cream they make themselves and cream and the water ice holy yum! The owners are really nice and allowed us to sample what we wanted. I ended up getting fresh pineapple and got to choose 6 scoops of ice cream to add to it. I love the cucumber chili ice and the tamarindo ice with a drizzle of chamoy on top and a Mexican chili candy! This place is now my favorite go to for a sweet treat! It’s reasonably priced and they take credit and debit cards.

This is a big time hole-in-the wall restaurant. It’s gonna be tricky to find but once you find it, you’re in for a treat As the name suggests, this is a «paleteria,» meaning they specialize in desserts. So far, I’ve tried the mango loco, chamango, and the papaya & mango smoothie. All are pretty tasty but the mango loco was a little hard and sour for me. It wasn’t completely ripened. The chamango and papaya & mango smoothie were amazing though. The kiwi ice cream that was on my chamango was incredible They also offer typical Mexican food like tacos, burritos, tortas, etc. So, if you’re in the area and in the mood for dessert, come here. Let’s hope you’ll find it though

I am not just a fan but now an addict. I *LOVE* Paleteria Pelachos and will not blink twice to drive 20 mins to come here. My daughter brought me here because she was craving tostilocos — I found the pico de gallo and street tacos. Not only is it delicious but the price is spot on! I would like to ditch the places near me and have more of these. One of these days I will have enough room in my tummy to get to the ice cream!

This place is awesome! I wish I would have known about it sooner. The street tacos are amazing along with the pina loca. I can’t wait to go back and try some more of the great things they have to offer!

This is a fantastic little Mexican style fruit and taco shop… or is it a taco and fruit shop? Not sure… but they pull both off well! This is a little shop but they pack a huge menu in both the smoothies, ice creams and Mexican specialties(the pistachio shake is fantastic!). On the flip side… or rather the backside of this little shop is their Taco Shop menu which boasts everything from burritos, to tortas and nachos… I have had many of their choices and my favorites so far are the mini street tacos(which they have on special every once in a while at buy1 get 1 free!) This is a great option for both that sweet tooth and that taco craving!

I came here b/c it was next door to one of my fave sandwich places. This place is mom and pop shop to the fullest and even in a center that is ideal mom and pop shop central! I’ve gotten the mango loco twice… for some reason mangos from Mexican places are always the best! I’ve also tried the carne asada tacos here and they were BOMB too! I’m going to have to come back to try more of the food, but so far I’m a fan!
