New goto before/after playing Woods Valley. Really friendly staff. I had the pastrami dip but plan on having tuna next time. I got a sample and it was tasty.

I have lived in the area since 1978, and they were already here. I don’t live in that hood, so I kinda forgot about them. Never again! I was jonesin’ for a sub, and was on that block, so I stopped to order the original sub. It can make you weep. Then that week, I actually went to both Hungry Bear and Rockin’ Jenny’s to do a taste test. No contest at all! I went back for a second Agrusa’s sub just to make sure(wink wink). If you want some place to sit and leisurely eat your lunch, this isn’t it. But I promise you, you will be willing to sit in your car and spill lettuce all over you, just to eat this bit of heaven. You will find reasons to be in this neighborhood, and you WILL be hooked.

I came here for a late lunch because it had great reviews. It’s kinda a hole in the wall type of sub shop. It is a bit dirty and in a run down strip mall however the staff are really friendly and helpful. Great selection and lots of options. They don’t offer dine in but do have some chairs for waiting and an old paceman game that doesn’t seem to work but it brings you back to yesteryear. The food itself was really good and probably the best subs I’ve had since moving from the east coast. As Italian subs go this is a great sub shop. Highly recommended. The rundown look to the place is the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars. I grew up in an environment like this so I felt right at home but for some of you more wealthy types you may feel a bit out of place here.

Great people, great food. Everything is made on the spot. They are fast and very very affordable. My favorite is the pastrami with Extra Peppers!

Amazing sandwiches. I had the Italian sausage and my husband the meatball. It was was so good. The marinara sauce used is very tasty. The cheese is good and the meats were good. They are a good price for being that good.

Really good Italian subs. Original is the best! Pastrami and meatball good too. Pasta and potato salad wonderful. You can also buy bread ends for around two dollars. The guys that work there are really cool. Not a sitdown place more of a takeout joint.

Agrusa’s is one of the best sub shops in North County. Subwho? You don’t need that other place. They have the freshest veggies and meats. I always get a turkey sub toasted. So good. Make sure to get a pickle to go. Trust me, they’re the bomb if you like pickles.

Went for the first time today, New Year’s Eve 2015. Me and pops shared an 8inch sub, the classic #22. The place was dirty and not sanitary. We both ended up getting food poisoning and spent New Year’s Eve throwing up. Will never return, don’t go here unless you plan on getting sick. Edit: Ended up having to go to the emergency room from 11:30pm-3:30am on New Years Eve. Most miserable night ever. Please do not support this business!

I remember Agrusas. From thirty years ago. I used to take my daughter there for pizza’s and sandwiches it was great then and its still great!#!! The secret is in the bread and the shreaded lettuce, oh and. The sauce. I have to stop by whenever. I get into Ezcondido. Nobody tops them!!! They perfected the sub sandwich. You have to stop by this Place!!###!!!#####!!!

I’ve only eaten the #22 Original here because it is so good. It’s my perfect sandwich. They cook it in the pizza oven which is what makes it so special. The bread gets an ideal crunch from toasting yet remains soft and crispy. The cheese melts all over the meats which are warm. The heat causes the pepperoncinis to release their flavor. All combined makes for the perfect Italian style sandwich and they haven’t changed it in years. To be fair, I had to remove a star due to there being no seating with a lack of appealing décor. I highly recommend getting an Original and eating in the car while it’s still warm.

I find that there is very little middle ground with Agrusas– you either love them or hate them. I personally think there bread is the best around for sandwiches, and that’s half the battle. I generally stick to the tuna, but I’ve never had a bad sandwich here.

I don’t know what it is about Agrusa’s, but they are and always will be the best subs in the entire world. I’ve been coming here for about 15 years and nothing has changed. They are simply amazing. They are closed on Sunday and they are pick up only. Perfect place to grab a sub before a football game or to take to a park for a picnic.

I wanted to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Agrusas Super sandwiches the other day, hopefully the owner reads this and takes care of the employees that are causing this negative review! The other day I drove all the way across town to get one of Agrusas subs for dinner. I arrived there at 5:45, go to enter the shop and the screen door is locked. The worker inside asks if I was there for a pickup which I wasnt, then he informs me they are closed! They close at 6PM and it was still quarter till! I sat outside and watched customer after customer try to go get a sandwich but they were turned away! As it turned out I went back down Valley Parkway to another Rock’n sub shop that earned my business and will continue to do so from now on! In todays economy you dont take for granted the customers that have supported you for years!

Love this place coming here for years! The meat they use is real meat unlike subway where your Turkey has fillers and the bread is chewy. Everything here taste fresh. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a sandwich.

I was brought here my a local who swears by this place. As you can see by other reviews this is a local hot spot that has residence bought in, when you go, you will see why. First Impressions: This is a small, unassuming place that could easily me missed from the curb. Do not let this fool you. When you walk in, see no chairs and a true hole in the wall set up, you can be sure that it is not what it seems. The Service: The guy helping us was friendly and quick. He was ready with his personal suggestions for my veteran friend. Sandwiches were ready quick and wrapped well. While we were waiting someone came in and asked for a cup of ice. They charged 25 cents a cup, which I thought was disappointing, but this practice is common, especially for small places like this. The Food: We split The Original and a Meatball. The Original was absolutely perfection. Order it as is for your first time, it is a fantastic melody of Italian meats and vegetables. You will not regret this choice. The meatball was good but I thought the flavors were a bit bland, I prefer a bit of spice, kick or more diversity of flavors. If you like a simple meatball sandwich you’ll probably enjoy it. Prices: Great deal for what you get. The verdict: I will definitely be back.
