Dan was great. He’s been responsive and attentive in helping us with a couple issues that need some creative solutions. I would highly recommend Moore Mechanical for you HVAC needs.

I had scheduled an HVAC company to come in to do a tune-​up on my furnace. The first thing they found was several cracks in my heat exchanger, and the service stopped there. The next 2.5 hours was all about convincing me to buy a new furnace and A/​c to solve the problem. Before I moved forward, I thought I would ask for the opinion of a Carrier (my current furnace) specialist. Dan S from Moore came out. Did a thorough inspection, and found no cracks! I was happy and at the same time fuming that I almost spent $ 14K for no reason. Moore could have told me to swap out my furnace, too, but they chose to be honest with me. In addition, whomever I spoke with over the phone was genuinely trying to help me. And for their honesty as well as their truly helpful service, they have a lifetime customer!

They are great! Dan was my tech and he arrived on time, explained everything in detail and even gave me future advice as my heater is very old. He was back the following day with the part and now the house is warm again. The office staff was also great at getting me an earlier appointment when they had a cancellation and following up.

My furnace was acting up. They sent a tech promptly. Although Rick was not able to diagnose the problem the first time because the furnace was not acting up while he was here, the next day it acted up and Rick was sent promptly. He was able to diagnose the problem and ordered the controller for overnight delivery. It came in and was installed, furnace now works okay.
All the people are easy to work with.

I think these guys are the amazing!!! I highly recommend them. This review is long overdue. My AC broke down last summer & I live in a condo building where you cant access it by yourself. They took care of all the paperwork to access the rooftop AC with my homeowners association. My AC would turn on, but would not cool down. They tried refilling the freeon, & that did not work. They told me if its not the coolant than it may be a major part in my AC that is bad. Sure enough it was the expensive part. To my surprise they asked me about how old the building was & if i had paperwork for the AC. They were able to get the part covered through the warranty. WOW!!! They did all the paperwork for it and I was left with a reasonable bill. These guys are very professional, always had shoe covers when they worked inside my condo. Very polite and friendly. Even the staff at the office were great. Its hard to find amazing professional people like the staff at Moore Mechanical. I wish all businesses operated like them. I recommend them to everyone I know.

August 18, 2015, Rick repaired my air conditioner. Came on time, excellent service, had to climb up over 30 stairs to gain access to air conditioning on roof in our condo complex. No problem. He was amazing and I would highly recommend Moore Mechanical.

I have used Moore mechanical for a year in my office hvac needs. I am very pleased with their service, and Steve the owner is the pure representation of honesty and integrity, feature that is rare in the world we live in. He has my current and future business. After trying several companies Moore mechanical is the only one for me to consider. A+++

I had both a Carrier furnace and air conditioner installed about two and half years ago. The installation went okay. The technicians were polite and efficient. However, the installation did not pass the Danville, CA permit inspections because Moore failed to install a fuse between the house circuit and the furnace, as called for in the installation instructions. Also, they didn’t strap down the air conditioner condenser unit which is required because, after all, we’re in earthquake country. You’d think they would know that.
Still, I was satisfied until recently when the condenser began making a loud noise. The warranty reads «your new system includes a 10 year parts warranty from Carrier with all labor warranty repairs covered by Moore Mechanical under this warranty but there are certain restrictions». Of course, this sounds great but it isn’t what it seems. Moore Mechanical will still charge you a $ 95 «diagnostic fee» and a $ 59 «processing fee» even on a warranty item. So the «all labor warranty» may still cost you $ 154. If you called any local Carrier dealer, they will honor the warranty and charge just about the same amount. I think this is at best a little deceptive.

On Monday I had a fairly disastrous interaction with Big Air HVAC (see my review for the ugly details). I had to find a new HVAC company and Moore came recommended by neighbors on
(sorry, Unilocal). Unlike Big Air, Moore was totally professional and showed up on time this morning. They didn’t require endless confirmations before they’d show up…
The technician was professional and… get read for this… EARLY (by a few minutes, but it still counts for a lot). He quickly diagnosed the problem, implemented a temporary fix pending receipt of parts and was on his way.
Not the cheapest, but the adage of getting what you pay for is very true in the HVAC field.
Moore Mechanical is HIGHLY recommended.

Absolutely amazing. We had a ductless mini-​split Heat/​AC system installed in our home. It was an expensive /​large project for us. I received 4 bids for this project. Moore Mechanical was the only one who quoted it as I requested. They were knowledgeable and professional. They were on time every time. They did a pre-​project walk-​through to go over all the details to make sure we were on the same page about where everything would go. Then they followed the plan exactly. Flawless service. Their pricing was comparable to the other quotes, but their service and professionalism were off the charts better. Can’t say enough good things.

These guys did an awesome job. I got three quotes from three different local vendors here on Unilocal.Kevin was the most knowledgable guy by far and his recommendations made so much sense I was shocked they weren’t recommended by the others. We were having issues with a loud system that drew directly from the living room which made it nearly impossible to hear and converse. We were also having poor airflow to the back bedrooms and extreme temperatures in the master and guests right of the trunk. We replaced the HVAC to a two speed variable stage, sound proofed the box the unit was sitting on which was being directly drawing from through the living room, added another draw for more air, added dampers off the trunk to the master to force more air down the hall and a damper to the first room off the hall. This made a huge difference in the sound and air flow. We couldn’t be more happier. I drilled kevin for two hours in my living room and he was so patient and kind he really had an answer to all my questions. I had done some serious research to make sure I was making a good decision. He was able to give me specifics about exactly what unit I would be getting. I wanted to know just like I would if it were a fridge or dishwasher. When the crew came they were on time, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and were in and out from 8 am-​2pm. Just a great overall experience. Like I said, make sure you know what your paying for shop around and you will see that Moore Mechanical is a great company to work with!

Had to call because my AC was blowing hot air. Reliable and knowledgeable service. Fixed my AC by replacing my capacitor; total bill $ 234. AC is ready to go for the summer; thanks to Trevor one of their repair guys.

I found this place by looking at recommendations on a neighborhood website. I was very pleased with the service. Not only was the person who answered the phone helpful, but the person sent out to service our heater was really helpful too! Rick arrived in a timely fashion, found the problem right away, and was very efficient in finding a replacement part. Our furnace is really old, but Rick made it go right to get the part by the next day, and even showed me how to replace my air filters! I really liked working with Rick, and will definitely call them the next time I need my heater or air conditioner serviced!

Had them come out to audit a recent AC install, and help troubleshoot the Nest. They identified the problem, and gave me confidence in the install. They were super friendly, and got a quick appointment for us.

My previous experience with Moore Mechanical was awful but thanks to Shawn and Nicole they saved Moore Mechanical’s reputation. We had a problem with the AC system they installed about 2 years ago so I called Nicole. She was extremely professional — nothing like the previous girl that answered phones. Nicole said she would take a look at the schedule and call me back. Wthin a couple of hours I got a call that Shawn was on his way. Shawn was AWESOME — immediately knew what was causing the problem. He did a great job fixing the AC and getting us back up and running — so we wouldn’t have to experience 94 degree’s inside the house for another day. I was extremely impressed with Shawn — thanks Moore Mechanical for finally getting it together. Shawn and Nicole deserve a raise!!!
