The Mile High 49ers have officially moved a few blocks down to the Downtown Tavern.

Located in the lower level of, you guessed it, an old ice house in the LoDo section of Denver. Nice, laid back atmosphere and Jessica, my bartender was friendly and helpful about the beer selection. Nothing great (I had a Great Divide Seasonal) but the bar area was comfortable and inviting. I have to say that my walk to the bathroom and back was a little confusing.
The menu looked like it had some good apps and sandwiches.

Awesome spot! Great vibe! Drinks are super cheap all night long for its proximity to coors field and downtown. Food is great especially the burgers! Good service, too.

Had some Sunday fun day drinks and food recently. Service was on point out on the patio and we never felt neglected. Food was run of the mill bar grub but that is expected. Atmosphere was fun and the people watching great as there was a Rockies game that day as well

They will not let you in with a valid Colorado Id on your 21^st birthday. Even with the paper one to go with it. Don’t come here ever

If you’re a woman and there’s no female bartender you’re going to be waiting. And the door guy is always wearing a shirt with a picture of a woman with a gun going down her throat. This place is not one you’d want to take your family.

Servers are very slow. Drinks are ok. Okay location. Servers are very unfriendly. Would not come here again. Forgot our food we ordered and wasn’t a busy night

Icehouse Tavern is a sports bar type restaurant in downtown Denver. We stopped in for burgers and beer. The service was pretty good. The waitress made a mistake and brought me fries instead of chips, but then realized her mistake and brought me chips too. The burgers were alright, but nothing to write home about. This restaurant was just okay for me. There are definitely some better options in the downtown Denver area.

The bartender was crazy rude. My boyfriend tried to order a water for a me and a drink for himself. The male bartender then turned his back on us and went to the next party. Seriously? A girl can’t get a water? The lady bartender kind of saw the thing go down and looked very frustrated and came over to ask us what we wanted. I said I had tried to get a water and he wanted a beer. I got my water. Still no beer. They didn’t actually even ask him what kind of beer or anything. We are 32 and 34 lol. Its not like we are 17 trying to pull one over on someone. We left. Not sure what the deal was but the place WASN’T packed, just 5 – 10 annoying «bro» types prob. I finished my water before we took off. Maybe we resemble some hoodlums that caused trouble there before? HILARIOUS if that was the case and completely understandable. I doubt it tho.

Came in for lunch with some coworkers and sat at the bar. Took almost 45 minutes to get our food after the bartender assured us it would only be another couple of minutes.
Didn’t order anything special: 2 turkey wraps and a pulled pork sandwich; salads as sides. The wraps were average, maybe something you could get at a grocery store.

stopped here for a couple beers. sat at bar met some friendly people. of all the bars i went to in denver this place had the friendliest customers. Maybe its the un pretentious setting. this place is where you would go to watch a game or meet up for a beer after work. the staff wasnt as attentitive as possible. to their defense the design of the bar isnt bartender friendly. pretty long walks back n forth. obtructive views from one side to the other.

The IceHouse is a great bar that isn’t quite like the rest of LoDo. Its more relaxed and laid back. Not as crazy but still fun.
Oh.and its the official bar of the Purdue Alumni Club of Colorado!
For game days this bar gets a great Purdue crowd. The bar opens early for almost all football games too. They have some great brunch specials — my personal favorite is the hangover. Their all day beer prices are very reasonable (2.25 for domestics) and during happy hour they are even less plus dollar off other drafts. The beer selection is pretty decent as well with some CO craft beers. The happy hour appetizers are pretty solid too. I usually go for the cheese curds.
When it comes to a full meal I usually go for the cordon bleu wrap. The burgers are also pretty good too… and I almost always swap my fries out for tater tots or deep friend pickles :) They also have daily food specials.
Service is usually pretty good here. On busier days they are sometimes a little short staffed but I haven’t had any major issues. The bar is pretty big and has a tons of seating both at the bar and in booths/​tables. There is also a large outdoor patio that is great on nice days. There are plenty of TVs too!

We had a great time at the Icehouse. They have a decent selection of beers, including some nice frothy stouts. Yum. The wait staff was pretty great to. They kept up with everyone and were just great the entire time. I dig this place.

this is the NIner Nation Bar. So for that I give it a 4 star. food not so much…

I love this place! It’s a Niners bar on Sundays, so don’t go in if that’s not what you’re looking for. They have awesomely cheap domestic beers all day everyday. The bar food is better than a lot of bars too. Green chili cheese tater tots, cheese curds and solid burgers; who doesn’t love that kind of goodness in one location.
For people who drive in, there’s the huge, close by Central parking lot right next to Coors Field. I really like the location. It has all the amenities of an awesome downtown bar with the «you belong here feeling» and class of your local dive with a consistent bar-​tending staff that will eventually remember your name.
What’s not good about Icehouse? Probably the fact that it does have the charm of your local dive bar. If you’re trying to impress your new date, it’s probably not the spot to be. If you’re not concerned about that, then stop on by.

This is definitely a 49ers bar — can’t deny that. They only have 1 tv playing the Broncos game which is fine by me. They have good happy hour drink specials. The nachos are delicious — but not on their happy hour menu. I would give this place 4 stars, but the service sucks. They’ve got like 6 girls behind the bar and walking around so you never know which one is your actual server. It takes forever for them to come to your table and take a food order. Better off eating at home and just heading to the bar to drink.
**Well someone finally came to take our order and we got the food faster than the last time we came here… Unfortunately, it wasn’t what we ordered. Ate it anyways because I’d rather eat it than have to wait another 30 minutes for someone to come take our order and wait for food again. Hopeful that they’ll eventually get all their ducks in a row.

Went there for a 49ers game, the crowd was awesome, the atmosphere was charged with excited crazy fans. The wait staff was awesome! Always friendly, never had to wait long for them to come around to the table to see if we wanted anything. The burger & fries were delicious, the wings were on point!
Definitely coming back

It seems they are starting to let things go. Menus are not wiped clean. Ketchup bottles are messy and disgusting. They seem to be experiencing a high turnover of bartenders. I’ve been coming here for lunch several times a week for about nine months. I may have to find a new lunch spot. The music is deafening many days.
