Howl at the moon is a fabulous venue! The musicians are extremely talented and get everyone involved in the fun! I had such a great time dancing to 70’s, 80’s, 90’s music that just brought back so many memories.

Bouncers here are power hungry. My boyfriend is a type one diabetic and needed an insulin shot due to drinking regular soda, after ordering a diet soda. I went into the men’s restroom to help him administer the shot as he obviously was not feeling well and I was promptly escorted by four bouncers out of the bar for having gone into the men’s restroom. 1) the bar gave a seriously wrong order to a diabetic and 2) the bouncers(forcefully) escorted us out. Truly disappointed by a bar we have loved and brought our out of town friends too. I hope management sees this and understands the terrible mistake that was made due to a medical emergency. I will make sure no one I know attends this bar, I can promise you that.

I’m not sure what is with the bad reviews — I had booked a table here for my sister’s bachelorette party, and we had the most incredible experience. To begin with, the party planner was quick to respond both by e-mail and by phone, and I was able to get our table set up without any hassle. We arrived at about 8:00pm, and the bouncer was very funny and very nice. The girls who checked us in were readily prepared with our table. I really wish I had gotten the name of our server, because she was incredible. Seeing as it was my sister’s bachelorette party, we were taking multiple tequila shots and ordering a bunch of margaritas. It seemed like every time I started to think I wanted to order another drink, our server was at attention. She kept our table clear of empty glasses and trash the entire night, and we never once had to wonder where our server was. She was so sweet and you could tell she was loving her job — we even got her to dance with us! The other bachelor/bachelorette parties next to us were only adding to our fun. As the night went on, we were all dancing the night away, requesting songs from the incredible performers, and passing around our party favors. When our phones and selfie sticks(yeah, we were those girls) died, the bartenders happily held them behind the bar to charge for us. A couple of times throughout the night, there were a few gentlemen that were being creepy and trying to invade our table. The bouncers immediately noticed before any of us could even say anything, and they asked if they were bothering us. All of the girls in my party felt very safe and protected. Once again, I wish I had gotten the bouncer’s names to give them the recognition they deserve. Overall, I was blown away by the attentiveness of the staff. They were all having so much fun, and the night was a breeze, and my sister claimed it was the best bachelorette party she could have asked for. Anyone claiming the bouncers kicked them out for«having fun» must not be telling the rest of the story, because I have never seen such an upbeat and happy staff and venue.

The piano players were pretty talented, but I wouldn’t go back here. The music is SUPER loud, they played a lot of obscure/old songs, drinks were weak, and not a single song we requested got played(yes we know how it works, we included cash with our requests). To top it off, the piano players were making inside jokes the whole time and were really rude to a girl who got on stage mistakenly.

New to a dueling piano bar atmosphere, I wasn’t expecting much. I was wrong. This was very fun experience. It is quite loud, but the performances were great! Drinks are pricey, but that’s to be expected in this downtown area. Room to dance or sit back and repax. I would definitely go again.

Would only try again if had a table. Had an extremely rude waitress literally take our drinks because we were standing next to some reserved seat. Tried to find another spot to be but totally turned off by staff. Too bad as dueling pianos were fun.

This whole experience started off with the bouncer at the door– he was hilarious. We were there for a bachelorette party, and he kicked it off with some funny wristbands. The music was great, and the piano players are very talented. For a minute, we thought that our time was going to be ruined by a group of obviously overly intoxicated girls. But howl at the moon don’t play that game, and kicked those girls out(thanks goodness! obnoxious!) The piano players played each song we requested(with a tip, of course!), and we had a great time. This is the first piano bar I have been too, and not the last.

Typical dueling piano bar, but who doesn’t love dueling piano bars? The musicians are all really good and they typically have some drink specials going on. The big bucket drinks run about $ 30 and are worth it!

This is always a fun time! The musicians are incredible. They know a wide variety of songs and music and know how to keep the crowd dancing and cheering. This is a great place for birthdays, bachelorette parties and happy hour parties. This place gets pretty packed early which keeps the party going. The staff is very friendly and they all seem like they enjoy working there. At one point the hostess came on stage and played her electric fiddle/violin which was great. Also one of the bouncers/bussers came on stage for a rap part during a couple of songs, he was great! The whole staff is really talented.

They best piano bar by far I have been to. Compared to San Diego, San Fran, Nashville and New York. This place was amazing. Piano bar /club.

Wow. Definitely the best piano bar I’ve been to– including others in New Orleans and Atlanta. This was piano bar meets dance club meets brewhouse culture. I was there after supper on a Friday night. The talent of the musicians and the fun they created was off the charts. It was not ‘chill’ like the other piano bars that take that dueling piano style and mix it with bits of talking. No, this one was straight blasting full forced fun– at least 4 – 5 musicians rotating instruments and all playing at the same time at a fast pace. The songs are their versions of famous songs from country to 70s oldies to 90s hip hop, to current music. And unbelievably some of the musicians had many of these diverse songs(many being requests from patrons) memorized! I would definitely go again.

Newbie Unilocal ELITE Mixer Party? Yes Ma’am! I am just having wayyy too much fun at these Elite events. Anywho, we came to Howl at the Moon for a new to Unilocal Elite party last Friday. I had always wanted to try this place out and I’m so glad I was able to go with Unilocal. I like that the bar is in the basement. It gets really really loud in there. I am from Vegas and I would always go to the Dueling Pianos on the strip. I am so happy we have an equivalent bar in Denver. The musicians were super talented. None of our songs we requested got sung but that’s ok. My whiskey ginger made the songs I didn’t know tolerable :) OPEN Bar! This is my first event where we had an open bar until 7! How did I mess that up? I wasn’t even driving. I enjoyed my 2 cocktails but now I’m kind of wishing I had just one more to round out my night. I heard the specialty cocktails were delicious. I didn’t want to drink anything too sugary because the hangovers are bad. But with open bar, I should’ve just done it anyway. Especially since the bartender was very quick to inform me at 7:01 that the VIP happy hour was over and he will be charging me full price. That I don’t mind it, was just the tone he said it in was just a tad rude. But it’s cool, I’ll survive. After meeting up with some friends and fellow elitists, I noticed that our server wasn’t paying much attention to us. Maybe she was busy. Just because we were there for a party doesn’t mean we weren’t going to take care of her. I most thoroughly enjoyed all the new elites I met. I got to meet Katie and her husband and this other young lady named Heidi. I have to find and upload the picture from the photo booth we all took so I can show you how much fun we had. I’d like to go back to the venue again as a regular customer. The sound was a little loud so instead of trying to talk, we just ended up getting on the dance floor. I had a great time. Thank you Unilocal for another great partayyyyy.

Such a fabulous venue for a fun night out! We came here for their open house and treated to some good appetizers and drinks while enjoying the dueling piano show! The place is underground right across from Coors field. We parked in the pay lot($ 10) next to it but there’s street parking. If you come here on the weekend, it’s easier to park in the lot instead of driving around looking for street parking. Music: we absolutely loved the dueling piano show! The musicians were very talented and played all the requested songs from the audience. It was very lively and entertaining! Some people were there for their bachelorette party and some were there to celebrate their birthdays! Venue: very spacious with 2 bars on each end. There is a dance floor right below the piano stage. Food & drinks: we only ate the appetizers which included Cesar salad, meatballs and ravioli. The ravioli was incredibly creamy and delicious! My friends said the meatballs were pretty good too! The drinks are on the sweet side. But the Mule was very refreshing without being overly sweet! Service: the waitresses were very attentive and friendly. We tried to get a drink before the VIP hour only to get ignored by the bartender on purpose. He turned his back against us right after he served another customer. Then a few minutes later, he informed us that the VIP hour was over and we had to pay regular price for the drinks! I found this hard to believe but it actually happened and it certainly left a bad taste in our mouths especially after a fun night! Overall, this is a great venue for holding a birthday party, bachelorette party or any occasion that calls for good music!

A brief recap, we went in June for my sister’s 25th birthday. We had a great time, reasonable cover, great eclectic music, yummy punch bowls as my family has informed me. My older sister says the Blue punch bowl is the way to go. However, if you like vodka Sex on the Moon is the way to go. Just a word of caution, these punch bowls are enough for 4 and will set you back $ 35 a piece. We went back with a bigger group and our parents last night to celebrate my older sister’s birthday. Once again the music was great. Fun easy atmosphere, that even the dance challenged like me feel comfortable dancing. They are not a karaōke bar, but with the right tip a guy last night was able to get up and sing a couple songs. I don’t know if the music or the people watching is more fun. My family and I love the eclectic mix of people and age groups here. My husband was quick to name this place a mecca of Bachelorette parties. I believe there were at least 5 groups last night. I can see why it’s a fun place to have fun and be silly. After two visits I had to improve my review from 4 to 5 stars.

My husband and I had a great night at Howl at the Moon Denver and I’d recommend it to everyone that is ready to sing along and have a great night. The musicians/singers are extremely talented and helped everyone get in the mood and sing along. It was very impressive that besides the piano, they also played other instruments, such as guitar and drums. We had a fun time writing out song requests(adding a tip for the musicians) and singing along. We ordered drinks both at the bar and from our table when a server came by. If in the Denver area, we would definitely be back.

I had a really great time at Howl at the Moon! We stopped in on a Wednesday night– a little early because we just hung around the bar until they started around 8:40PM. No cover charge(I don’t think that many people go out on a Wednesday night, at least not to here). Over the night, there were perhaps about 4 groups, including 2 bachelorette parties and 1 birthday party. Even then, our group was the most involved. If you’ve never been to a dueling piano bar, here’s how it works: you’ll find request sheets on the table and you fill it out. If you want them to sing it, you fold it over ATLEAST $ 1.(No $=they likely won’t play it unless it’s a super slow night?) Then the piano players(who also will play the drums if the song calls for it, which really goes to show how talented these people are) will pick and choose to make the night’s choices flow and entertain people. There’s a good sized dance floor– literally all girls in the place started dancing when they played the Cupid Shuffle but it got good use over the entire night. Tip: Go with a big, friendly group and be prepared to think of good songs for them to play/sing and for YOU to sing along/dance. We had a good time throughout the night until we had to call it quits due to our 8AM training the following day. Drinks: I’ve read a few reviews saying that the drinks are strong but they’re… really not? I left the place sober(not even buzzed) after having the ‘bone’ drink of AMF, a — mule(they called it something different, I dunno) and at least two shots.(Also if you want the copper mug for the moscow mule they’ll take your ID to ensure you don’t walk away with it? Ok, not something I’m used to). My friend(although she’s also of Irish origins so maybe that’s why) had some 8 shots and didn’t even get buzzed.(The shots that we had were all delicious though). Overall, I had a really really great time. I like this piano bar more than the one I’ve been to in SF, which makes me sad that Howl at the Moon is not in the Bay Area. Would definitely bring friends over if we ever come back to Denver! Solid 4⁄5.

They do a good job at playing a mix of classic piano bar tunes and contemporary pop music. This crowd is pretty young compared to any other piano bar I’ve ever been to, and we felt a bit old. Still, we had fun, and lots of people danced the whole night. They have good(bit expensive!) drinks, and they do offer a small menu of snacks. We ate a cheese flatbread(small pizza) and some tater tots with cheese sauce. When it gets late and busy, it’s hard to find a server and you may have to go get your drinks from the bar or flag someone down if you’re looking for food. We’ve been there twice now, and both times, it was fun! We’ll definitely go back.

I love this place! If you’re looking for a fun night out in Denver than this is a place you must stop. It’s a piano bar and they always play/sing the best songs! You can put in a request for a song and they almost always do it. The musicians are so talented and funny as well. There are good drink specials usually and they sell buckets of yummy drinks which are good to share with a group. Make sure you stop by for a great time!

I love this bar! The atmosphere is perfect for a weekend night out with your crew. It is so lively and energetic! The pianists are such good sports and never make you feel like you are bothering them. Plus, they are extremely talented every single time I have gone. They play everything from Top 40 to classics. If you sign up with their email list you will occasionally get coupons or be informed about upcoming events. They have decent drinks, too! I will be back, and soon I am sure!

Weightlifting With Drinks Howl At The Moon is the birth child of barroom rascality and live performance entertainment. You can dance to a vast spectrum of musical genres while enjoying a drink from the bar, like Howl At The Moon’s signature 86oz bucket of booze. I suggest trying the Rum Runner(Bacardi Superior, Dark Rum, Banana, Blackberry, OJ, Pineapple, Grenadine). It’s fantastic! Plus, you can work on your biceps while drinking it! The folks at Howl are also big on Parties and Events. Birthday, Happy Hour, and Bachelor/Bachelorette parties find a readied home here. Table reservations are welcome, too; and, Howl even provides an assortment of Corporate Event Party options. This really is one of the coolest, sleekest dueling piano bars you’ll ever set your sights on. Lift your giant 86oz bucket of booze up and share a toast! Here’s to Howl At The Moon! Cheers!
