Came in here to check out some subwoofers and hussaine, must be the manager assisted me and helped me out a lot. He even installed the subs with no charge! Great service! Definitely coming back!

Avoid this place at all costs!!!
I had bought a relatively basic Pioneer stereo from Amazon and just wanted to pay to have them to install it. First of all, they had used some kind of generic DIN adapter that wouldn’t allow me to remove the stereo’s faceplate. Also, the guy obviously tried to cut and shave chunks of plastic from the DIN adapter out just to be able to squeeze it into the dashboard — it didn’t look professional at all. To make things worse, within hours after picking up my car, the cable for the speaker (for the bluetooth) kept falling out under the steering column near where it is extremely important that my feet stay unobstructed to be able to use my gas and brake pedals. They didn’t even call me to say they only had a generic DIN adapter (to give me the option to take my car elsewhere) and then when I tried to schedule a follow up visit for the following weekend to have them fix the crappy work they done the manager couldn’t even commit to having someone available to work on it. I am surprised they’ve managed to stay in business this long…

I went to buy a stereo today and the store owner/​manager was very nice and helpful. He gave me a great deal and I will definitely be referring this store to my buddies.

Please save yourself trouble and money. So today I went there thinking about buying an stereo for my car anyhow the dude couldn’t make his mind whether to charge me $ 260, $ 280 and finally he told me it would be $ 302 dollars. I told him I would think about it and this s.o.b was like well by then I would consider a new price. Really? Very unprofessional ! People please don’t come here you do not need this crap. Find a professional.

After checking out a few different shops I decided to do business with Sound and Alarm due to the professionalism, prices, and workmanship. They are what I look for in a business. They back up their work and I have not had any issues with my system I had an alarm and sub completely installed and I love every bit of it. The staf was polite and straightforward. I walked in, told him what I wanted and got it installed that day without any issues. The work was flawless and am 100% content with this company. I would definitely recommend this shop to all those looking to get work done with audio or an alarm installed.

My car got broken into 2 days in a row sucks? I know lol so I came here to get an alarm. They were nice & very helpful and gave me a little discount :) & did my alarm very quick. & I didn’t even need to make an appointment with other I would’ve had to wait about 5 – 7 days to take in my car. I will be come back again to instal a new radio.

He remembered me. Discounted my installation. He got plenty of choices for your car upgrade needs. Now I just gotta c if I can find 12s or 15 subs to fit my corolla…

The owner is very nice, professional. They have another location down the street, also so if they are busy there they can send you to their other, nearby location so that’s cool. Reasonable rates and fast service. Just had a deck installed there, work was done properly, sounds good, would recommend .

Been coming here for years. They have worked on all the cars I’ve owned, and have always done clean installs at reasonable prices and in a timely manner. No complaints here.

I was driving my pick up truck when my speakers stopped working. Drove to Sound & Alarm, and after diagnosing the problem, the technician told me my amplifier was burned.
Hossein help me to find a new one that fitted in my budget and I was out there in less the 1 hour!
I’m pretty happy because with the new amplifier, the sound in my truck sounds better than before! Thanks Hossein!!!
If you need an alarm system, new sound system or just need a repair, I highly recommended this place! They are very knowledgeable and their store has everything you’ll need!

i Installed a deck in my 07 civic and couldn’t figure out why i wasn’t getting any sound to my speakers. I brought it to sound and alarm to have them diagnose and fix the problem. They succeeded. They simply bypassed the stock amplifier.
The other problem that i had which they couldn’t figure out was, why my deck was staying on after the key had been removed from the ignition. After an hour wait, they pretty much told me that the deck was shot. They were wrong. The deck works perfectly fine. The wire harness that i purchased had the two power wires mixed up. Some how the mexican dude who supposedly does installation for a living couldn’t figure that out. They charged me 100 dollars to diagnose one problem.
This obviously is just a bad experience. Would i come back again to get some installation done? Probably not. It was a total rip off!

Anytime I need anything regarding «sound» in my car I come to this place. From my car stereos, my door speakers, my amps, to my sub-​woofers; Sound and Alarm has installed it. Hossein, who is (I believe) the owner has always been very helpful. Two of my speakers were blown (cuz i like my music so loud!) so I purchased two brand new speakers from them and George, the mechanic, installed it within an hour. Oh yeah. and he also replaced my amp. I was sooo excited they were able to do it the same day so fast because I had to run so many other errands today!
So I’m the type of person that shops around for bargain prices. Other than purchasing from Bestbuy (which is too expensive) or Durant square in San Leandro (which is straight bargain prices, but the quality sucks!), Sound and Alarm is best place to get what you need for your car to sound like it’s the shit! I’ve already recommended this place to some of my friends and family. Hopefully your experience will be as great as mine…

Got a bluetooth capable deck for Christmas. Called this morning to get it installed (remove factory unit and install the new one). They were open and told me to come by (45 minutes to an hour to install).
George completed the install in 30 to 45 minutes. It works great. The price was good too.

I wouldn’t go to this hell hole anymore. the Asian dude who used to drive a mustang roush is not working there anymore (this place was very knowledgeable and the techs used to be so kind and would tell u exactly whats going on with your car and would actually be careful with the panels of your car.)
The only tech who is installing stuff here is george. guy was so pissed that i installed my own stereo and couldnt find where the short was. (duh that’s why I’m bringing it to them because they call themselves the pros) after finding out what the hell was wrong with my car, within 15 min he fixes it. but the total amount of time he worked on the car was a little over an hour. the owner hussein charges me more than what he quoted me because he said that it took his guy a longer time to fix my car. WTF! I went down their garage and the guy was chatting with some fat chick in a van and stopped working on my car thats why he took longer than expected.
George the installer would’nt even tell me what the hell he did to fix my car’s problem. He said «if you touch it we will charge you again». wtf its my damn car, i can do whatever i want to it. and the worse thing about this is that i bring my car back at home, and as soon as i turned on my radio and listened to my cd, the only panel that he removes where the fuse box is (it has a 4″ speaker) has a rip and now is making a rattling noise. I have to buy a new one now.
Ever since their nicer installers left, this business went downhill. No wonder they are not as busy as before because the only installer that they have is effin rude and is so unprofessional.

I feel bad to write a bad review to this place cos the owner is a nice guy. But at the end of the day I gotta keep it real.
Heres why Im giving this place 1 star…
At the time I just bought a brand new sound system for my car. 2 amps, 4 6×9’s and 2 12’s and lots of cables. But instead of going to a beat shop to install it I went the cheap route and had a mechanic I found on craiglist install it for me.
Well you know what they say, when youre cheap you buy twice!
My car is so big it was too much work for him so I had to go to a beat shop to get it «professionally» installed, I went to Sound & Alarm because a couple friends recommended it so I thought it would be a good choice.
So I get it installed there, it was more than I was expecting to pay but it looked like it was installed nicely and it was working great.
Til a week later. The bass just goes out on me. My subs were not working and the amp going to the subs looked like it wasnt getting any power.
WTF right?
So I go back there and since they have a «warranty» on their work they said they will fix it for free. They got it to work within 5 minutes which made me happy but when I ask the mechanic, not the owner, what was wrong with it he said dont worry about it.
Very unprofessional attitude.
The next day my subs go out AGAIN! This is the 2^nd time.
Go back to the shop and same thing, 5 minutes later he has my subs working again. When I ask the mechanic why its happening so often he literally says «I can’t tell you».
Then I ask him what happens if they go out again, He told me he would have to charge me $ 20 next time.
Im on my way back home and woopty fucking doo, the subs went out AGAIN. This is the 3^rd time. In one fucking week.
So I got back the next day, he fixes it in 5 minutes once again and once again he wont tell me what was wrong with it.
It actually ends up working for a whole week and then woopty fucking doo, the subs go out AGAIN!
But after going there 3 times and the same thing happening every single time I was done with Sound & Alarm.
I asked a mechanic friend of mine and he told me to go to Twin Brothers on 17^th St. between Mission St. and Capp St.
So I went there. Its a small shop that does tints, beat and rims.
I had never met them but they were already very friendly and when I told them about my problem he said dont worry about it he will check it for free.
And within 5 minute the one mechanic working there has already diagnosed the problem. He told me what the problem was the whole time and why my subs kept going out one me.
He fixed it for $ 10 fucking dollars within 5 minutes and I havent had a problems since.
The only problem with my subs was the wire that connected to my subs were about a foot too long, and because it was too long everytime I hit uneven road the wire would disconnect.
That was the only thing wrong with my stereo and after going to Sound & Alarm all those times they still couldnt figure it out???

The mechanic at Sound & Alarm has this stuck up attitude about him, that everyone I know describes… Not just me.
He acts like he is such a pro at sound, like he is the best in the game or something and everyone is below him.
But he cant even figure out such a simple problem?
