The people that work here are so nice and really helpful! I’ve been here a couple of times, my only complaint is that I’ve had to go back to redo the keys every time because they didn’t fit.

Poor Customer Service… Cash Only, in Most cases! Trust me, shop somewhere else!

There used to be a locksmith shop in nearly every neighborhood where you could take a troublesome lock for service or get an obscure key made. I had the notion that they were mostly World War II vets who learned their craft in the military or on the G.I. Bill.
Now they’re gone, replaced by portable locksmiths who will come to your house to work on your locks. It’s not the same.
Thank goodness Daly City Locksmith is still there, and it looks like it’s not going anywhere.

Our visit today to resolve a key issue could not have gone better. Went with an older friend who requires a lot of tlc. Yvette was professional, patient, and so kind. How often do you get that kind of service?

Had a bad back door lock-​our weather rusts everything REALLY fast because of the salt air in Daly City. We ordered a beautiful, top of the line set and Yvette, Mike & Jay held our hand through the whole process. Jay installed it & did a beautiful job. It’s been working effortlessly for two years now! Highly recommend their professionalism. We use their duplication of keys for homes my husband lists as a Realtor as well & always refer them to our clients for when they move-​in for a lock change. You can’t go wrong-​they have great knowledge & deserve great business!

I came in with an odd lock planning to replace it (the big orange stood didn’t carry it). I was expecting it to be around $ 150. The gentleman working there checked it out, cleaned and lubed it and sent me out with a new lock cylinder (total was less than $ 20). He even threw in a new beauty ring for free.
Very knowledgeable, friendly and professional (unlike most locksmiths). I’ll be bringing my future business here.

Class act. My wife and I locked ourselves out on a very rainy Saturday night, and this awesome guy not only agreed to drive down the peninsula to meet us in Burlingame on short notice, but when our neighbors let us use their balcony to get inside, he told us the only thing that mattered was that we got home safe when we called to let him know (he was almost there, too). He didn’t charge us anything! No cancellation fee, no gas money, nothing — how fantastic is that?
I’ll call on these folks any time I need a locksmith or keys from now on, because I know I’ll be dealing with nice, dedicated people. Way to go, guys.

Lost my house keys-​lucky me, someone was home to let me in.
Thought Home Depot Colma, 0639 would provide a quick fix. However, Kwikset no longer makes this type of deadbolt. The first hardware associate suggested to enlarge the door hole (not a good solution). The second hardware associate named ‘Wes’ said ‘re-​key the dead bolt’ and suggested ‘Daly City Locksmith of Daly City, CA’.
Upon arrival, Yvette Sink accessed the deadbolt and gave me a great price for re-​keying and two new brass keys. I explained how quickly I needed the work done, because of leaving town.
Immediately, Yvette and her professional staff dropped what they were doing and went to work on my deadbolt. Even though I was sweating bolts, the staff worked quietly and diligently to finish my dead bolt. By accident, I lost one of the long stem screws and they fished a spare out of their scrape pile. Yvette and her staff cut it down to size and I was again out the door in time to make my travel plans.
I highly recommend Yvette Sink and her Staff. They are professional under stress and provide excellent customer service. I highly recommend their services and will contact them for all my lock and key needs. Thank you !

Great locksmith company! Excellent customer service. I have a very complex situation with multiple locks, different keys. The folks here were able to get me keyed on a single key and give me some great advice on door locks and a security gate.

Friendly and helpful staff. Home Depot didn’t cut an old brand key I had, but Daly City Locksmith did. They carry a very wide variety of key sizes. Wonderful local business.

What a great, local business. I looked all over for a specialty gate lock and they not only had it in stock, they re-​keyed it to fit an already existing lock set. Yvette is a rare tradesperson with a great attitude and a wonderful sense of humor. Will definitely call on them again.

If you need any type of NEW service for cars, DON“T even bother. These guys can’t
read a handbook. Came in with a transponder key for my car, because it took them 3 weeks to order me one and it never came. Had to order myself. Then they had no clue on how to re program. If you need simple things done at expensive rates, go there. If you want a shop that’s not stuck in the 60’s go somewhere else.

Fast service. Walked in and they took car of my lock. Very reasonable prices. Lots of street parking right in front of shop.

The key to my vehicle broke off in the door last night. It was dark and so I called Daly City Locksmith at 0630 the next morning and spoke to Jay. He spoke to me like he knew what he was doing and assured me that he would call me at 0830 when his shop opened. At 0830 called as promised, he was on the phone with me checking the numbers and make of the car. Then within 15 minutes he pulled up in front of my garage with his van and after a hand shake started working on my problem. He was professional and went about pulling the broken key out of the car. Then he went into his van that contained a complete workshop and made me a brand new key that was better than the key that failed me. I was saved because the only spare key to that car was in 800 miles away in souther California. Thank you Jay and thank you Daly City Locksmiths. This business is professional in every way possible. I am a Vietnam Vet. and i know what it’s like to have your ass in a tight spot and it’s nice to know that there are professionals around to get your ass out of that tight spot. So when you are in a tight spot and you need help; I suggest that you call these guys. It’s simple; Daly City Locksmiths rank right there on the top and Jay Larson is a Top Gun locksmith.

DC locksmiths is amazing, Yvette is a total doll. She knows her shit and makes sure you understand how and what to do to test your freshly cut keys. I called Yvette on the phone before I came in because I was having an issue matching a blank (apparently it’s pretty rare nowadays) and she was able to find the proper blank within seconds. I told her that I would be in that day and when I arrived she already had pulled the blank and was ready to cut the key. I needed her to cut two of them so she pulled a second one with a direct efficiency that was impressive, the speed at which she cut and polished the new keys shows her years of experience. Yvette, thank you so much for your fast, friendly, and positive locksmithing experience, I will definitely return here for all my locksmithing and key duplicating needs.

Dear DC locksmith. or «Yvette» the counter watcher… Help your customers as they come in. in that order.
When a customer (me) calls and asks what he should bring in to have a cylinder re-​keyed and is advised to only bring in the cylinder, then you (Yvette) should probably apologize for telling him he has to GO BACK HOME and get the whole lockset before you can re-​key it.
When the same customer (me) comes in the very next day with the whole lockset as you asked and you (Yvette) serves customers, WHO COME IN AFTER HIM, and then has the Wanda Sykes «I don’t give a F**k» attitude to ask him to come back in 1 hour when he (me) protests being made to wait to suit you.
Maybe you should get your priorities in order.
Or in the words of Micheal Imperioli of Chrissy fame in the Sopranos in the bakery scene…
«hey pop-​n-​fresh, does that mean I could go out f**k your sister, come back Saturday and be at the front of the line»
The answer depends on who you know at DC locksmith and how well you know them.

i see this place now has two more reviews within days after my post on ⁹⁄₂₂ and both reviews single out «yvette» as sweet… I must be living in bizzaro world, or yvette called her friends and asked them to Unilocal.
You be the judge, the earlier reviews talked about grouchy people and such and now it’s the land of milk and honey.
