My flight was late landing at DFW and I only had 30 minutes to make my connection. Once at the gate I had to get food fast. Ordered the shrimp wrap with a side of fruit. The Wrap wasn’t bad and the shrimp tasted fine. The peanut sauce was a little bland. Under the circumstances I was satisfied.

This was my first and last visit to Blue Bamboo Xpress… My meal was a poor excuse for teriyaki lo mein: too much sauce, overcooked noodles, and fatty beef. Not exactly inspiring.

It was so bad that I was going to give it no stars. But the workers were nice and courteous so that explains the one star. When looking for food in Terminal D. Pass this one up.

Absolutely horrible. Mushy noodles with meat that tasted like soggy flour. Overpriced. And when I complained they wanted to give me more food! I went to TGI Friday’s. Better food, better service, and I actually spent less money!

Food was similar to the microwaveable kind at the store. Matter of fact the microwaveable food taste better and is better priced. Not ever going here again

Wow, what a disappointment. Not sure if it is a result of the less than lifeless staff, the under flavored food, or the fact that the wrong item was served to me. Ordered the Spicy Pork, and got the Kung Pao Chicken. I’ve said those names repeatedly over and over in my head, and I simply cannot fathom how Spicy Pork gets heard as Kung Pao Chicken. Hell, I even watched as the server dipped the spoon into the precooked mixture and scooped it out. I watched as she pulled from where? Not the pan that had Spicy Pork labeled in Kroy tape in front of it, but the pan behind that! But hey, being in the restaurant business, I know that at times those labels are ignored because the staff knows where everything sits on the line, or they have a better idea how it functions and lays out operationally. Well I gotta say that this was not the case here. So by staffing the way they do, they have an employee serving hundreds of customers a day that can neither understand nor read English. I’m just glad that I don’t have any peanut allergies or anything… but that certainly doesn’t mean that the next person to come along and experience the same thing doesn’t. Boils down to typical airport food, and why, until time eternal, customer perception of such will always be of over priced, tasteless slop.

if I had any sense of mind I would have checked the reviews before eating here. The food(if you can call it that) was just awful. I thought a CA roll and a fresh spring roll would be a safe bet. I was sooo wrong. It was pure starvation that allowed me to finish this poor excuse for food. Gross– skip it!!!

This is my favorite place to eat in Terminal D. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is always fresh when I go. The sushi is delicious and the egg rolls are to die for. The prices are average for airport food and it was worth my money. Give this place a chance.

This establishment is fortunate that people are in a hurry and don’t check reviews prior to dining at the airport. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu, the salmon. I knew after the first bite that this fish was not close to fresh. It smelled fishy and tasted worse. I took it back, told them about the smell and taste of the product and with a bite out of the fish, they put it back in the tray to sell it. I told them that I ate a piece and they should not try to resell it. Unfortunately again, English is a second language behind the counter here and she had to get someone to help her understand what I was saying. I asked for shrimp instead, which is $ 4 less. No offer to give me the difference. No apology for the bad fish. I must concur with the overwhelming sentiment of other reviewers, to stay away from this place. You won’t find good food or even a friendly, smiling face or attitude. Phew!

Awful, awful, awful My not-so-secret shame is loving cheap«mall quality» Chinese food like Panda Express, etc. This place was AWFUL. The pork tasted like rubber and the sauces were nothing to want to remember. The worst was the potstickers…, mine tasted like undercooked pasta. I am eyeing the Blue Mesa across the way in envy throughout my meal The 2-meal combo plus a beer cost $ 20!!! I know this is an airport and prices are inflated, but come on! At least buy some flowers before you… you know Never, never, never eat here.

Just terrible. Chicken and pork overlooked. Processed sauces used with the proteins added horrible flavor. Don’t eat here.

GROSS. Don’t eat here! They don’t know how to make Asian food here. I was jonesing for Panda Express when I saw Blue Bamboo Express. I should have known better. Why would I order Asian food in the Dallas airport when there’s awesome BBQ and Mexican food to choose from? This Is Texas after all. Ugh. Waaaay overpriced for Kung Pao Chicken with noodles($ 12). It’s Chinese food for petesake! Taste was awful and they use linguine pasta for their Lo Mein. Seriously? I should have read the Unilocal reviews. Just kick me.

I was waiting for my flight from dallas the other night, and wanted something light, easy, and non-smelly to take on the plane. i ruled out au bon pain since i go there pretty frequently, and i was craving miso soup. i ordered the miso soup, a small salmon sushi roll(4 pieces), summer rolls, and a side of steamed veggies. let’s start with the fact that this was $ 24 — that’s a lot of money for not a lot of food! the miso soup was okay, but pretty salty. you can choose how many scallions go in, so i was happy about that. there were also a few big pieces of tofu, but no greens. after eating about half the soup and the overly steamed veggies, i needed a break before i tried the sushi and summer rolls. i tasted the ginger and wasabi to start, and was surprised that the wasabi had a lot of flavor. i then picked up my first piece of sushi, only to have it completely fall apart. i decided i would just use my fork, which unfortunately did not help along the flavor. the salmon had no taste, and the cream cheese was thick and gummy. not the best sushi i’ve had, but i also realized i was in an airport in dallas, so i shouldn’t have had high expectations. i then moved onto the summer rolls, which looked lik they would be good. however, looks can be deciving. the lettuce was dry, the shrimp was flavorless and very wet, and the skin of the wrap was hard when i touched it but then instantly gummy when i tasted it. gross, and a waste of $ 5. at least the staff was friendly, and gave me the extra wasabi and ginger that i requested. and the food didn’t smell so i didn’t upset the other passengers.

What a nightmare. Just put a Panda Express in here instead of this place and call it a day. Shockingly gross. Everything tasted dry and like sweet chili sauce.

Why why why didn’t I read the reviews here first. Dallas airport actually has very decent food. I chose to eat here by mistake and what I got was a sheisty plate of dry, salty, disgusting food. The brown rice was what got me to come, but the portion was so small it couldn’t fill up an infant. I think the guy gave me 2 pieces of broccoli. Never again.

I’m an idiot. I read the prior reviews before ordering here. It’s difficult to get such a unanimous opinion on a restaurant one way or the other. I thought it was some vast conspiracy by a group of folks pissed off at the owner to discourage people from eating at this fine establishment. How else do you average one star with so many reviewers? After all, it has a prime location in DFW terminal D, how bad could it be? Be warned… It’s every bit as bad as described. The food sucked. Hard to distinguish the Orange Chicken from the plastic container it was served in. It’s hard to screw up just plain steamed rice but they somehow managed that as well. The only thing with flavor in this dine n’dash were the packets of soy sauce — and even that sucked.

*RUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNAWAY* I wish I had checked out the Unilocal reviews before I ordered food from this place. But my 3G internet was NOT working when I tried to look up this place on Unilocal mobile — way to trick me internet! If you are lucky enough to get internet and are currently looking at this review, please RUNAWAY!!! Why? 1. Expensive food for poor quality 2. Expensive food for small portion(I thought I was in Texas, no?) 3. Rude staff. Details – I ordered the combo meal with some chicken stuff I do not remember(one of those names with Asian fusion chicken in the title). They offer vegetables in the combo so I thought it would be healthy — but the vegetables(three pieces of carrots and broccoli) have absolutely NO flavor. The chicken was tasteless too. When I went up and paid for my food, the staff was counting cash and did not even acknowledge me for a good 50 seconds. Then when I finally sat down, this one other female staff who was on break sat next to me and had some food in front of her. Then she probably put over 15 lemons in her bowl of rice dish. The problem was, she was a horrible lemon squeezer and all the lemon juice got on my arm! She looked at me and did not even apologize. AREYOUSERIOUS??? Another note is that — the main food court is here in Terminal D. They also have more restaurants options(Burgers, Wok, Yogurt) in Terminal C.

Wow, this place has talent. 100% one star reviews. That’s impressive. Well let me add one more to it. I’m so pissed that the one time I don’t check Unilocal first, I end up at this place. It’s just terrible. Really, really awful«Asian» food. And I use the word«Asian» extremely loosely. I have a cold and all I wanted were some noodles. Now I’m going to have to buy another lunch because these are unedible. If I wanted mush I would have… whatever, I don’t ever want anything like that again. I’m just thankful that I ordered vegetarian. Blech.

Expensive, extraordinarily plain and all together lacking in all ways. I wanted something healthy so this seemed to fit the bill. For $ 14 I got dry chicken with a tiny bit of some sort of sweet sauce(was supposed to be honey sesame). Tons of flavorless brown rice. Barely steamed veggies and a blah veggie egg roll It was airport food. I didn’t expect much, but wish I would of just done a sandwich at Au Bön Pain. This wasn’t worth the $$.
