Wilson Painting & Finishing

This is our second time around using Wilson painting and I can’t recommend them more highly. Zach helped us both times and he is honest, professional, and just a good guy. My wife was on bedrest the first time they helped us and they came over, brought sample paints back for her to look at, and had the job scheduled and completed quickly to finish my daughter’s nursery. We realize we have been two fairly small projects for them but the team makes us feel appreciated and as valued as if we were a large client. Their pricing was fair and on the high end to middle of other quotes we got. In the end, the service and knowing they have a qualified, trustworthy team that would be entering our home made them the best choice for us. They cleaned everything up and I simply got to come home to a happy wife and a perfectly painted room that I wouldn’t have to do over the weekend– great deal for me!

Flawless. I called Wilson Painting on a Sunday and Zach (owner) returned my call the following morning. That quick of a return call rarely happens so I was already impressed. I had 70 feet of wood fencing and 2 gates… One 3 ft and one 7ft. We agreed upon a price which was in the middle of 2 other prices, but I chose them on the fact they are bonded and licensed and hire their own painters vs not being subcontracted. They were able to start the following day. They were prompt and Zach came and introduced himself and the 2 painters who would be painting. The painters were very professional and polite. I have had this gate and fencing painted twice in the last 6 years (it’s Swiss coffee white and I’m by the beach) and it has never looked as good as the job they did. It honestly looks like new gates. They fill and caulk everything that needs. It is clearly the most professional painting job I have ever had. And the icing on the cake that matters to me is they cleaned up as they went along so there was never a mess even though this was outside! I will use them next spring when I have more painting to do!

Submitted a quote request using their website, nothing, left a voice mail next day, still nothing 2 days later, I would not be surprised if half of the people leaving good reviews are their friends & family and this applies to most contractors on Unilocal

I can’t say enough great things about this company!
I worked with Zach throughout the entire process and he was simply fantastic! Showed up early for the first appointment, followed up with a quote within his commitment time and worked with me to get the right price for my needs.
He followed up the day before the job, sent me a text the morning of letting me know he was on his way, and once again showed up on time!
At the end of the day, they ended up painting a lot more than discussed simply because they wanted to do a great job and have my house looking great.
More importantly, you can tell this company and Zach care about customer satisfaction first! Very thorough, punctual, answered all questions and never once brought up payment. Instead, they waited a few days, called me to make sure I was satisfied and sent me an invoice a week later. That’s trust and a great business model!
Never going anywhere else for paint work.

When I called to get a quote, these guys were very responsive even though it was a small job for them. To my surprise, they were able to come back two days later and complete the job in a day. Their pricing was competitive and customer service was outstanding. I’ll need painting services in the future and I will surely seek their services again. Zack Richardson was my point of contact. I received 4 bids, and went with Wilson Painting because:
1. Price was fair (in the middle)
2. They let me choose the brand of paint, and let me buy my own paint if I wanted to (other painters would not let me choose if I wanted Dunn and Edwards, Sherwin Williams, etc. they also did not let me buy my own paint). Other painters want to make money from buying the materials themselves.
3. All the employees speak English, and are insured — all the way down to their vehicle with the company.
4. There are no sub-​cons. All workers are employees of Wilson Painting.
5. They are insured, licensed, and bonded and all their information is legit and up-​to-​date (yes I double checked!).
6. They provided references when other companies could not.
They were professional, did a good clean job, and addressed all of my concerns. All touch ups and comments I had were taken care of.
Wilson Painting painted the below for my house:
EXTERIOR:
1. Repair stucco as needed (cracks, holes, missing corners)
2. Sand and repair as needed existing fascia.
3. Repair as needed holes or nicks as needed at door jambs.
4. Prime all new stucco and exposed wood, and apply 2 coats of paint.
5. Paint exterior gates at side yard.
6. Wilson Painting provided all paint and materials needed. They let me choose the brand and line of paint. I chose Sherwin Williams Super Paint flat for the stucco and satin for the trim.
INTERIOR LIVING ROM (has high vaulted ceiling at 14 feet tall)
1. Prime all walls and apply 2 coats of paint.
2. Wilson Painting provided the primer, but I provided the paint and walls. I bought Sherwin Williams Duration.

Highly professional group, well qualified, priced right (not the cheapest, but best value), very good follow through and communication. They’ll change your opinion about most contractors. Very satisfied, I highly recommend these guys.

Hi, My wife and I just had our best painting experience ever, thanks to Wilson Painting. In the last six years we’ve hired two painters to paint the outside of our Mesa Verde home.
The first contractor did a minimalistic job. It looked great when completed but didn’t pass the test of time. The second painter we hired two months ago, I had to fire after two days because of issues with cheap paint, tape & tarps which contributed to their sloppy job around the house — lots of paint on our new flagstone and tape stuck to our windows…
Finally, I decided to go with a local company with long established roots here in Costa Mesa. And — WOW, did it pay off! Not only did they use top quality materials, they hired top notch painters that had pride in their craft.
The owner Chris and his estimator Zach were on top of the job from beginning to end. There wasn’t a day gone by that they didn’t come by to check on all aspects of the job. When issues about the job arose they solved them in a professional way without any drama. They even helped us with our color choice for our front door and we LOVE it!
Again, don’t do what we did… HIRE THE BEST FIRST– WILSON PAINTING!

I recently had a room painted by another company and just jumped in without testing the color first. Woops, it eneded up looking VERY different on the wall. I was too embarrassed to call the same company back to paint the wall a different color so I thought I’d try someone else.
I gave Wilson painting a call, told them what I had paid to have the room painted last time and they came in 30% cheaper. Wow, wasn’t expecting that! Zack and Chris came over, both very friendly and personable, we chatted a bit and set up an appointment for just a few days later.
The morning of the painting, the whole crew arrived promptly when they said they would, carefully covered all surfaces, and helped move some stuff I had in the way. Zack even offered to get rid of some cardboard boxes I had so that I wouldn’t have to fill my trash bins. Nice.
The painters did an excellent job, very clean, no over painting or sign of the previous paint color anywhere. They patched up some holes I had and also repainted the bottom of my window frame as it was looking fairly dirty even though I said it wasn’t necessary. Thanks.
I was happy with the previous company I used, but Wilson Painting managed to surpass them in price and service. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again for any future painting needs. Be sure to tip the painters themselves, they work hard and deserve it.

I am a General Contractor, and have had a solid experience with Wilson Painting & Finishing. Their prep work is off the charts… you can walk around their projects barefoot it is so clean… although I wouldn’t recommend that. The finish product is always above and beyond then what I expected. They have completed both residential and commercial work for us. The best!
