Termite Terry Pest Control

Terry just left my house after a free inspection to check for termites and for a potential rodent problem in the attic. He confirmed that the buggers on our windowsill are actually ants and that the attic was clear, save for a few droppings probably from the one rat that we had found awhile ago. He could have easily told me I otherwise and I would have believed him and paid for any service that was recommended, but he said all was good and just gave me pointers on how to avoid problems by managing vegetation, etc. For his honesty, I would go back to him in a heartbeat and recommend Termite Terry to anyone.

After fumigating our house for termites, we hired Terry Termite to fix and replace the damaged wood. Before the fumigation, Skip came out and conducted a thorough inspection in our presence, showed us how termites cause damage, and explained the process they would take to fix the damage. They even came by to pick up the paint we provided to have the wood primed and painted before the work. On the work day, Saul and Jose came promptly and worked hard throughout the entire day to replace the wood. The found a way NOT to step on the roof to prevent any potential damage, which we appreciated. The wood repairs look great, and it was hard to tell where the new wood meets the old. They also cleaned up very thoroughly after the work was done and ensured that we were completely satisfied. A few days after the work, when we contacted Skip about a minor concern, he responded very quickly and addressed the issue without any hesitation. Skip was always prompt, courteous and very helpful. We’d definitely hire Terry Termite and already recommended them to our neighbor and friends. Their professionalism and customer service were very refreshing in the current market where quality service is hard to find.

I just finished having my house and garage tented and subterranean termite work completed. Everyone at the company including Eric and the office Cordinator were very professional and helpful.
They weren’t the cheapest estimate I got but I felt that it was the most thorough and professional.

I had flying bugs which I thought were termites. Erik (who was very professional and personable) came out he said definitely not termites and I should talk to the pest expert. I spoke with Cameron on the phone. Very pleasant and helpful employee. I made an appt for a time that was convenient for me. David came out, did an evaluation of the exterior of my house and made a recommendation. I was under no pressure to proceed. I paid for the service and so far my pest control is gone. I recommend this company. It’s local and not some big conglomerate.

I have know Terry for about four years now; and have used Termite Terry’s services in very difficult circumstances. I can say that Terry and his team are very careful and methodical; and spend a lot of time explaining what they are doing; why they are doing; what needs to be done; and why. What is most important is that if something needs to be done that is outside the scope of their expertise, they tell you so – and then are more than happy to get you to someone who can help you. If you are thinking about buying a home and need a great pest inspector, always insist on Termite Terry!

Was interested in some dry rot repair because their website states that they specialize in it. Tried to set up an appointment for an estimate and Cameron advised without even sending someone out here to look at the type of repair needed flat out turned us down. She also said that we are out of their area and told me to contact a local contractor. The OC is not far from where I live. I am disappointed as they weren’t even interested in looking at the type of repair needed and assumed that it could not have been done. Plus I felt as if I was being told to look for people in «My Local Area» as if my business was not wanted.

I’ve known Terry for about 2 years now and have to say the man is impressive. His staff is awesome (Shout out to DJ!) and they give the most amazing customer service. Terry and the crew walk the walk and they deliver…
Do not even think about another exterminator!

They came out to my house to deal with ants entering the house, they sprayed inside and out and the next day zero ants, thanks termite terry!

We had massive ant issues. I had had Terry ‘s expert come out ant take care of the problem. He said to wait 2 weeks and I would not see anymore of those little suckers. well the next day they were gone. Great company and great service. I don’t care if you find it cheaper its not worth it. Termite Terry guarantees his work. Other companies I talked to have a very limited conditional warranty. sounds like a bunch of BS to me. Only go with Terry. Also we had our house termite treated by Terry 15 years ago. Great job.

My second review for Termite Terry Pest Control and worth taking the time again to write about his expert services. I have been using Termite Terry Pest Control for several years and he has been keeping my home pest free. His expert exterminator comes to my house on a regular schedule to check and treat for any pests. I have seen his termite tenting work first hand when I referred my neighbor to him. The tent was secure, no gaps where gas can escape, no plants lost. Clean, professional work and a team that you can trust your home to.

Called for an ant infestation — and was referred to Termite Terry’s by my neighbors at
. The tech who came out — DJ – was friendly and knowledgeable. After finding over a half dozen nests in our front and back yard, he completed his work (with touch-​ups around the interior baseboards) in an hour. And three days later, we are ant free! So happy. The only reason I didn’t give 5-​stars was just a minor hiccup during the scheduling process — but overall, would absolutely use again and refer DJ to my neighbors.

First I’d like say what a great job Skip did on our inspection and follow-​up. Termite Terry wasn’t the the lowest bid we got, but in my mind they quoted for the correct volume of gas needed to fumigate our house. My other 2 bids came from my previous termite company and a company that I wasn’t able to find any reviews, good or bad, after telling me they have been in business for over 25 years.
Termite Terry worked with our schedule and accommodated us for a Friday tenting and a Sunday return. While the tent was on we had a weekend getaway in San Diego.
All-​in-​all we had a great experience with Termite Terry.

Great service from the friendly person who answered my call to the actual inspection itself. Never had to call a Pest Specialist before and never want to have to again but if I do, this is the company I will use.
David was the licensed pest specialist that came to investiate the sounds eminating from our attic. He was polite, professional, and very friendly. It turns out the Pests that were in our Attic were new born kittens so we didn’t need his assistance in removal but his advice on how to deal with it was helpful. He even took a pic of the kittens for us which was nice.
We hopefully will use Termite Tery Pest Control to patch up the screens to our roof vents if our HOA permits. I would totally reccommend this company.

Called termite Terry because the termite company I went with did a poor job. We found live termites in the wood in our windows two weeks after we were fumigated. They were very helpful. I was not a client and I paid them no money. They helped me through a difficult situation and answered all my questions. Thank you for your professionalism!!! I wish I would have gone through you and avoided this mess.

Over the years we’ve electrocuted the termites, had them sprayed with various solutions, and tented our house. Terry Termite was wonderfully through — they inspected our house from top to bottom, gave us lists of what needed to be packed with how and why, came in before the tenters to make sure we didn’t miss anything, and left us a message that was waiting for us when we got home. We found them on Angie’s List and thought that they were WONDERFUL. Thanks so much!

I have done business with Termite Terry for over five years. They took care of bug problems at our apartment building and the tenants were VERY happy. Not only are they thorough, but they REALLY know what they’re doing. I’m not sure why the poor reviews. Maybe from poorly run competition? The New Yok one cracks me up, as they are a small business run in Costa Mesa, CA. I have referred my clients to these guys and have had nothing but positive feedback. These guys are the real deal.

Informative website, but no Internet means to contact the firm: Contact form returns an error but doesn’t indicate what the error is, info@ email — which has to be typed in by hand — is dead with a 550 – 5.1.1 error (and yes, i typed it carefully and twice with the same result). Hey Terry! Better fire Sean or get him to fix the site… you just lost a customer, bud! While you’re at it, get him to make the site W3C compliant.
Epic Fail.

I’m a bit surprised by the poor reviews, as I had a great experience with Termite Terry.
I work at a major Orange County theme park, and in taking some cheap hotel property home from the company sale, I unknowingly also took home bed bugs. I had been getting bites for about a week and a half, not knowing where they were coming from, when I caught an actual bug in the middle of the night and began calling exterminators.
I got inspections/​quotes from one large chain and from Termite Terry. I was disappointed that they were not able to send someone out to inspect/​quote the same day and that there was a charge for the inspection.
However, the national chain brand (the day before) had not sent an actual exterminator to inspect. Even though their price was good, I was hesitant to use them because I wouldn’t meet the exterminator until the day of treatment and I wouldn’t be able vet him by making sure he was knowledgeable and thorough to get rid of the most difficult pests. Simply spraying bedbugs isn’t enough, as they are highly resistant and good at hiding for up to a year, so I needed to find a pest guy who knew this and was going to fully inspect and treat not only the room but my furniture and my stuff.
The inspection and quote from Termite Terry came with a fee, but it was worth it. DJ, my exterminator, and his trainee, Brad, were at my house for over an hour, maybe and hour and a half. As first they seemed like surf bros (they said dude a lot), but after talking with them for just a minute it was clear they knew their stuff. They took the bugs I had caught for further monitoring, and fully inspected my room and the 2^nd bedroom belonging to my sister, as well as the living room. They explained that the initial treatment would take maybe 5 hours, because they were going to come over and help me inspect ALL of my stuff (I’m a girl, I have a lot of stuff). They also said that for bedbugs, since they have such staying power, they would come back and re-​inspect and re-​treat once a month until I had 2 full months with no bites.
We went with Termite Terry and DJ over the big national brand. The price was twice as much, but they impressed my parents and my dad is a biologist who consults for rodent pest control. He knows that with pest control, you get what you pay for. And what it was clear we would get was 1) to meet our exterminator right away 2) have his cell phone number for further questions 3) hours of his time, no matter how long it took 4) leaving no corner left un-​inspected 5) a variety of treatments to meet the needs of my home and stuff.
It actually took about 6 or 7 hours to empty out my room that first day. I threw out a lot of stuff, but stuff that I couldn’t throw out got fumigated in large sealed bags, with fumigation strips. I had 6 bags out on my balcony for a week and a half; nothing could’ve survived that! DJ wanted to protect my investments in items such as suitcases, lamps, computers, and shoes. Even though he can’t take them apart to inspect for bugs, he didn’t want to say «throw them out» if he could find a way to treat them. Flat items such as paper, posters, and art got inspected and moved out. All the furniture got dismantled, inspected, scraped for eggs, vacuumed, and sprayed with the best pesticide (of course he told me what he was using so I could vet it with online research!). The mattress and box spring (plus my sister’s mattress, just in case) each got bug proof cloth covers to keep what could’ve been in there already IN, and new guys out. Good for allergies too. The only thing I had to take care of myself was all soft stuff. But DJ made sure I did it. Washables, clothes, stuffed animals, linens, soft shoes, anything soft went into the industrial dryer on high for 45 mins, and then into 10 white garbage bags (white so you can easily see bugs). Since I’m a girl and had so much stuff, even with Brad there training with DJ it took 6 or 7 hours for us to complete my tiny room. They treated the baseboards in most of the house as a favor and a precaution, and completely treated my room, including dusting the electrical sockets and spraying inside the bed and dressers. We didn’t get charged extra for extra time; there was a flat rate for the first treatment and they were willing to stay to get it done past their estimate of how long it would take. Afterwards, DJ shot the breeze with my dad about Pest conventions and rodent control.
Three months, later, I haven’t had a single bite. I caught the infestation early, and we only found 4 live bugs total. But we found eggs, and one of those bugs and lots of eggs were inside a CLOTHES HANGER. That’s how I brought them home. A lesser exterminator wouldn’t have found that, wouldn’t have thrown out my hangers. I had completely forgotten where they had come from (a hotel) and hadn’t mentioned it.
DJ was so thorough that we took care of the toughest bugs in one go. He came back and sprayed twice, like he said, just in case.

Had these people do a termite treatment, I could not tent the building because kids live there and tenants cannot move out for three days as requested. Ten months later termites are back… Made an appointment for inspection. After waiting 4 days for appointment, Skip the inspector, calls and cancels appointment because he has something more important do to. He talks down to tenant because she is understandably upset after waiting 4 days with a insect problem we expected the to resolve. This Skip person has no people skills and is very unprofessional in my opinion.
I think its amazing that after 3 reviews of this business they have a 1 ½ star rating, just keep that in mind before calling…
