Direct Protect Security & Surveillance

I just had an alarm system installed last week and I must say that I am very impressed with the service, attention, and attitude of everyone I worked with. Ryan, my sales agent, was very informative and knew his product better than any other sales rep I had spoken to when i was shopping. I never felt pressured by him and he would calmly suggest what would be best for me and my family when we spoke several times.
Other reps I called would try high pressure sales tactics to get me to sign up, but Ryan was always respectful and helpful, allowing me to explore my options at my own pace Their pricing was extremely good considering the fact that I can now control my system form a smart phone, and save money on my energy bill for just under $ 60 a month! Their installer Jose was very efficient and professional so I would highly recommend using these guys for your security needs. An overall excellent experience!

Monitronics equipment failed and they could not repair it. I sent them a letter cancelling the contract for cause. Their equipment is junk.
They are hounding me for payment which they are not owed.

I had a great experience with Ric when he came to install my alarm. He was very professional and did an excellent job explaining to us all the features of our new alarm. I feel much more safe at home now that I am secured by Direct Protect Security.

I give this company 5 stars for the excellent system, the cooperation of Chad, and the service provided by Ric. After much research, we selected. Direct Protect and could not be more pleased!

This company hooked me up with a company called Monotronics security and I have been miserable ever since. Imagine the worst possible service one could receive and multipy it ten fold. Stick with the companies that know what they are doing like Post or ADT.

The good — Their technology is great. The system is very easy to use and the price is decent. Their customer service is friendly. You can turn on and off from your phone, add other people to enable and disable, etc. As far as the actual security system goes, GREAT!
The bad — You have a website to login to for enabling and disabling the system and there is a whole separate company that does the billing. The billing was setup completely wrong for us. We’ve had a hell of a time dealing with Direct Protect. They had a young man who made bad promises to us on our billing which caused this whole slew of confusion on their end. We were very explicit with what we could and couldn’t do from the beginning. They also entered in our address wrong in their system, which I’ve had to also call and fix. Hopefully they’ve learned from their mistakes as my husband and I shouldn’t have had to go through so much trouble to fix and explain our discussions.
Anyway, I hope/​think everything is settled now. I think that the security system itself and the service will work great for us. Heck the system gave us better outage updates than SDGE in a recent outage. But again, frustrated with our beginnings, happy with the system and technology.

This is the place and team of people you want to deal with when purchasing a home/​business security system. First off I must recommend you speak with Chad in sales and service. They made sure I got everything I wanted and more for a price that I believed to be fair and sits well. My alarm is awesome and works seamlessly with all of our family’s iPhones! My husband and I just bought our first home in Santee aria. Iv always wanted to keep a piece of mind in having a security system but all the companies iv talked to were way over priced. Andrew came out of no where and had the answer to all my questions and worries. We signed up for as low as 60 $ a month! Who could beat that & have a piece of mind all at the same time! He was a charming, nice guy and very well spoken! Thank you Andrew for making my home feel more safe. Can’t wait to enjoy our new gadget!

I would highly recommend this company. The sales associate who came over was great! Nick was polite, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. After I signed up and reviewed the contract the following day I decided it was not in my best interest to continue the service. The account manager was friendly, understanding, helpful, and assured me the cancellation would be taken care of immediately. It is rare to receive such good service and I would recommend them any day!

This company definitely puts their costumers first! Their prices are very affordable! You will not regret using this company!!!

I had an issue with one of their sales people and sent off a couple e-​mails. One of the Managers called me directly and explained the salesperson I had an issue with was no longer with the Company and has been failing to return their calls, as well as my own.
Direct Protect immediately took responsibility for their wayward, ex-​employee and made good on his promises. Not only that, but they apologized for his crappy service and did better to me than what he promised. They went the extra mile to make things right, and that speaks volumes to me.
Now that the bad taste is out of my mouth – the security system and monitoring they provide is phenomenal. I’ve used it for over 6 months and have no regrets.

As a new home owner a security system was something I wanted for some piece of mind. It seems every home has one now a days, but which one to choose with so many out there? To me Direct Protect is the only answer! Andrew stopped by my home to let me know of the services they provide, and he was GREAT! What a polite charming gentleman. His knowledge and professionalize made this an easy choice. Thank you Direct Protect for watching over me and my family, not to mention at a VERY reasonable price. If you are interested in home security this is definitely the company to go with.

My entire experience with this company has been wonderful! I had recently purchased a home and a nice gentleman by the name of Andrew came by and spoke with me. Andrew was THE reason I signed up. I had gotten plenty of advertising in the mall for other companies, but he showed me that my investment in my house was worth protecting and showed me how the system would be set up, how it was so easy to use etc… I am so happy to have found a wonderful, trustworthy company helping protect my family and home! I have done a lot of research about home security. I have several friends using the same system form the same company, let’s just call it Company ABC. And since they all have systems from Company ABC, having a system installed through Company ABC would definitely get me a good deal. Since it was a referral and they know three of my friends, Company ABC was willing to give me a good deal.
This is where it gets better: Direct Protect has offered me more than double of what Company ABC is willing to give me!!! I have even called two other security company and was told that it impossible for them to match what Direct Protect is offering!
Well I figured, I will be paying a certain amount of money every month irregardless of who does the install on my house. Might as well make the most out of my monthly payment. ADT cannot match what Direct Protect was offering me. Even fellow Monitronics contractors cannot match Direct Protect!
Matt can be reached anytime and always gives straight and direct answers. He is always willing to help out and go out of his way to make sure that everything is ok. Fantastic customer service and honest people to deal with.
This I can say is money well spent!

I just purchased a new house and I was shopping around for a new alarm system. Direct Protect is was by far the best choice available. My parents used ADT, but they are expensive, inflexible and their customer service leaves much to be desired.
Direct Protect was great from the moment you start talking with them. They worked with me to be able to reuse some of the equipment I already had, they spent time trying to make sure I understood what I was getting and how to use it. Their installation technician was courteuos and clean and didn’t leave a mess. Matt, one of the owners, actually gave me a follow up call to make sure everything was as expected. I told him I was missing a call from the monitoring company and he said he’d get right on that. A few hours later I got their call.
The system I got from them was a Cellular-​based system that works with existing equipment I had, plus allows me to monitor the status when I am away using my iPhone! Pretty cool. The system itself is very easy to use with a nice touch screen interface. The best part is that it doesn’t require a land line and is actually more secure, since cutting the main land line won’t disable the alarm.
All in all, this is a great company that I am happy to recommend for a great alarm system.

I was a little hesitant after my over-​the-​phone consultation because I had not previously heard of Direct Protect, and thought their soft quote was going to be too goo to be true. But after they came out and went over the system with me, my quote actually came in less than what they had told me over the phone! Not by much, but it was still way better than being quoted something, and then once it’s ready to install they tell you about all the additional items and fees that are not included (which is what happened to me when I called ADT and a couple of other places). Anyway, the system is super easy to use, the price the was good, and the whole process was easy. Definitely recommend Direct Protect.
