Came in for late lunch… Not a lot of people for 1600 time. A lot of table available, yet waited for 20min for what??? I just don’t understand that especially when someone is hungry, u don’t want to make them wait especially if there’s a lot of table available and you see staff not doing anything at all. Not happy at all.

I ordered a Classic Bacon Burger cooked medium well & it tasted like all the other bacon burgers I’ve ordered at different restaurants. Nothing really stood out but it’s still a nice venue to hang out & eat if you are out with friends or family.

Ordered for pick up online. My order pick up time was 6:30, I got to the restaurant at 6:45 hoping to pay and be out of there since that’s how it usually is when I go to other locations, but nope… My order wasn’t ready… It hasn’t even been made yet! Didn’t get my food till 7:10! What’s the point of having a pick up time??? The entire time you could hear them putting the order together and then complaining about how they couldn’t find the female employee who was suppose to be running the cash register… I was already annoyed by the wait time that I didn’t even notice food was missing and I’m sorry but the presentation was not all professional. The photo will show how my fried pickles were served to me. I’d rather make the drive to H street. They at least have better time management.

The worst service ever by Alicia. I have never seen an a manager not have any control over her server as I saw tonight. Alicia had the most unprofessional attitude from the onset of our dinner experience. I was verbally attacked by Alicia while looking at my bill, who doesn’t look at their bill before paying??? She jumped down my throat suggesting I had a problem with my bill! The dinner ended with mulitple talks with a manager. I left feeling like all my legitimate complaints fell on deaf ears.

We have been to this location for dinner a few times now and the service was excellent and the food was very good. We all left happy. Lunch was not the same experience today for us. We are thinking the better chef/cook works at night when it is busier… but that’s just our thought. The waitress disappeared today during our meal. Our water was empty, another waitress walked by and asked if we would like a refill on our water. We will return more than likely since it is close to our home and the shopping area we frequently go to.

Hi, It’s Saturday night at 9:40p in Otay Ranch. The Chilis waitress/hostess never said«Hello», «Welcome», etc. she never even came up to us, but did tell us from 10 feet away, «this side of the restaurant is closed, there is open seating at the other side help yourself«.she then proceeded to walk away. The tables were ALLDIRTY with no where to sit on the other side !! We left and will never go there ever again and will tell our friends and family about the rude treatment at this Chilis in Otay Ranch!

Usually my experience here is great however this evening I was disappointed. The fajitas we ordered were chicken and steak but they had more chicken then steak. The tortilla holder had no top, instead they covered it with a small plate which was difficult to separate from the base. Also they ran out of spoons, yes no clean spoons they gave us plastic spoons. Plus my coffee was not very hot. How does a large chain like this run out of clean spoons:-o Maybe it was just an off day, I’ll be back because it is near my house but I’m still disappointed.

Took forever to have my food come out at least 15 min. When you order something that comes with two sides and you don’t want one of them. I substituted it with something else and they still bought out what I didn’t want. Overall, could have been better.

I actually felt compelled to do a review about this Chili’s location. I always, always tip a restaurant unless I feel that service is exceptionally bad, which was sadly the case here. I just could not do it. I always enjoy the food at Chili’s and the service is usually very good. On one particular visit on this location… I mean, we got the food on time and it was delicious as always. But aside from that, I was very disappointed in the service overall. I don’t expect my group to be treated like royalty in a restaurant but the two servers that were working there need to treat all customers equally. especially in a less than busy hour. The main waitress that served us could have been inexperienced but what looked to be the manager did not pay very close attention to us either. I noticed that both were approaching other customers, asking them what they needed, refilling their drinks without being asked. I don’t understand why they paid close attention to the other customers, asking them what they needed, but never even approaching us if we needed anything unless we asked. I couldn’t help but feel annoyed.

Another dissatisfying experience at the Otay Ranch Chili’s. Of course, it’s wasn’t my first choice… I won a gift card at work, so thought I’d treat myself and the kids to dinner. I NEVER eat out anymore, so it’s kind of special when I do. First thought was«any chili’s but otay ranch». so we go to h st, where there is a 45 min wait. Not wanting to wait I decide to call otay ranch. 15 min wait. Perfect! Well, so I thought. I can now see why. I’m sure everyone would rather go ANYWHERE else before otay ranch chili’s. but I had a gift card, so at least I wouldn’t be paying much for it. I did call ahead seating for 5 of us. myself, my kids, my sister, and best friend. Yet, we still had to wait a few when we got there. It took us 10 – 15 to drive there around rush hour, so this confused me but I overlooked it. We were seated at the first table to right, as you walk in to the dining area. It didn’t seem to packed at all. Knowing my past experiences, I specifically said to everyone«know what you want by the time she comes to ask for drinks, that way we don’t have to wait if they forget about us». Well this did not help us at all. First, the drinks were wrong. I asked for a water, got a strawberry lemonade. She OFFERED to bring the kids food with the appetizer, which ended being more than 40 min after our arrival. cheese fries finally came. it was Friday so we asked for no bacon. both half orders came with bacon on them. 40 mins for 2 orders of JUST cheese fries, and who knows how long we would have to wait for new ones. When everything was wrong up until this point, she apologized and I kept saying it was fine, but I was over it. my dining experience was ruined. she was no where in sight for a while, so I flagged down the hostess to let her know I would like to cancel my meal, but my kids were hungry & would like to eat. She did bring us complimentary chips & salsa, but I don’t allow my 2 year old chips since she can choke easily. And she was the hardest to deal with since she was hungry & we had been sitting for so long. I ended up allowing her a few to quiet her down, all the while sitting at the edge of my seat watching to make sure she wouldn’t choke. I’m not a paranoid parent, but when she’s hungry she tends to just swallow and not chew enough. I began to feel anxious and just wanting to get the hell out of there. She seemed very apologetic. A lot of things were comped, including my order that I cancelled but they brought out anyway. I felt bad for how I felt, but at the same time I can’t help it. Over and over this location remains the worst. New management and kitchen staff is in order. Something needs to be done, I mean, there’s a reason your wait is minimal. Plenty of restaurants right next to you. That’s where people are spending their money to avoid you.

I won’t say i will never go back to this place because most likely i will, but the service was really bad and the lady up front was rude. Tables available at the bar area but couldn’t take a sit because they were dirty and no one was available to clean them. We had to wait a while for them to clean. Food was kind of cold or reheated. didn’t enjoyed my visit

The employees are nice, but this place is SUPERUNDERSTAFFED. Hugely understaffed. All we do is wait wait wait. We even had to ask for silverware when they served us food. It’s like nobody knows what they’re doing. It’s not about getting anyone in trouble, but they need get their act together – seriously! My mom has spoken to he manage on two different occasions. Fool me twice, shame on me apparently. But they were responsive to our complaints and gave is $ 10 off.

We came to eat here for lunch. The service was exceptional. Alec was our waiter he was attentive, funny, and kind. Answered all of our questions and was on top of things. My mother in law asks a lot of questions too ! I read a lot of bad reviews for the service alone. Ask for Alec you will not be disappointed. My mother in law and I talked about how exceptional his service was while we walked out. I told her I would write a review for him . Chips and salsa were awesome.

Never coming back again! Went on a quick run for nachos and the only thing I could think of was chili’s. Of course as soon as I get in no «greetings» seemed as if they were low on staff. Didn’t get seated fast(mind you there were plenty of open seats) and as soon as we got seated the table was very wet. Browsing their menu I noticed they didn’t have nachos, so I got their CHILISSKILLETQUESO hoping it would fill my craving and to my surprise it DIDNT. DONTEVERGETTHIS, waste of money just stick to the reg chips & salsa. First of all the dip tasted like CARMEL, had a weird burnt smell and your basically paying 4 more dollars for something that isn’t so much QUESO?! Closing out my tab was the longest thing I’ve ever went through. My server was busy talking to the ceiling so I gave my tab to another employee. He came back and told me my «Original server» will be back with my change, 10 mins later my change arrives and by then I was ready to blow. LONGSTORYSHORTDONTCOMEHEREGOTODENNYS, hell go to another chilis with better ratings

This Chili’s restaurant is hit or miss and that’s why I’m giving it 3 stars. Sometimes the service is great. They refill our beverages quickly and the food comes out fresh and hot. Other times we can be waiting 10 minutes for them to just take our order and it seems like nobody is waiting on us. I guess it all depends on the time of day you go there because I know another Chili’s location that always has a long wait time during peak business hours. I’ve had good and bad experiences here so your mileage may vary. The food is generally consistent and I always enjoy it. I joined the Chili’s club so I get free points and I’ve already claimed a free dessert and kids meal. When my friends and I can’t decide where to go to eat, Chili’s is are default because its kid friendly and they serve alcohol!

Came here last night with some friends an hour before they closed. We walked in and was told the dining room was closed. Thought that was strange but then watching, there were 2 waitstaff and a bartender. The bar area was still pretty packed though, we were lucky to still find a booth. It took forever to get drink orders and food orders in. Although the waitress was nice, you could tell we weren’t ordering fast enough for her and she was always on the move. Even after we put our order in, it took forever for it to come out. The food and drinks were good but again it took a while to get out of the kitchen. There must have only been one cook back there. All in all, good food but takes too long. This place needs to staff better.

Good solid Chili’s location. I actually ate for free here, after a pretty questionable experience at the East H Street location… but I didn’t let the $ 60 of Chili’s Bucks affect my judgment. We were greeted immediately by a smiling and relaxed young lady, and offered a short wait or booth seating immediately at the bar. We went with the latter, and were quickly greeted and brought drinks. My one complaint on this review, and the 2-star penalty, is that the staff here seats tons of toddlers and infants in the bar area. This is simply unacceptable, management– You need to protect your adult areas, or the adults(who are buying all that profitable booze) aren’t going to come back! There were a sizable number of folks trying to enjoy their frosty beverage of choice while being annoyed by the food-tossing hellion across from them. This needs work. The food was uniformly good, although not anything to write home about, and the service was aces. If I go back to Chili’s, it will probably be at this clean and easy-to-park at location. B+, and nice job, guys.

Went here for lunch. Had the turkey club sandwich with French fries. The turkey club was good but the avocado that was inside was slightly turning brown. I wish I could have taken a photo of it but I didn’t notice it until afterwards. The French fries were good but some of the fries I bit into were still hard. I had a mango ice tea which is my favorite drink. Had another refill of that. Service was excellent by the waitress. I forgot her name because I was so hungry! Lol! I actually prefer this Chili’s location because the food tastes better here & service was great! It’s a bigger place. This location is within the mall. There’s plenty of parking in front.

I had forgotten about the Chili’s near where I live up until my recent visit for my boyfriend’s mom’s birthday. The only thing about it that I remembered was that the food wasn’t very memorable. As we entered, we were greeted by the manager(I’m assuming he was because he was dressed differently than the rest of the staff and had a headset sort of thing connected to his radio…) He was very friendly, with a ginormous smile on his face. We were guided to our seats quickly, but the hostess seemed as if she was lost. Right when the manager handed her the menus to seat us, her face was nothing but confusion. When we started following her, she kept looking around to see if there was available seating. It was somewhat like an obstacle because when she finally found a table for us, we had to squeeze our way through. The waitress at the table next to the one we were to be seated at had her mini pull-out stand/table where she had all of the dishes set up/laid out to hand to each person. I know that’s their job to do that, and it’s an easier way to pass out the food, but the waitress was completely in the center of the walkway. After being seated at an uncomfortable table – their chairs hurt my back – we decided to go on the other side of Chili’s to eat for the happy hour deals. By the way, if it’s happy hour, to get the specials and deals for drinks and appetizers, you must sit on the left side of the restaurant where the TVs and bar are. We got up and walked to the other side of Chili’s where we told the gentleman I’m assuming to be the manager that we wanted to change tables. He offered to have the only available booth cleared for us, so we stood by as he personally cleaned it. As he went to the back to get spray for the tables, a woman by her lonesome took the liberty to seat herself at the booth that we were waiting for. Unbelievable. Thankfully, he came out and told her the table was for us, then continued to spray it clean. He told us we were nice for not kicking her out and we all just giggled. After all the seating arrangements and what not, we were finally situated. Each of us ordered our drinks, and while we were waiting, we got our chips and dip. The chips were very salty! Then 5 minutes after, our appetizer came out. The appetizers were very temperature hot to a point where it hurt to bite into, so I wish we would’ve been warned. I did appreciate how our waitress noticed the«Happy Birthday» pin on my boyfriend’s mom’s shirt, though. She told us she’d bring ice cream out and have everyone sing happy birthday. Just as we were finishing the appetizers, our main dishes came out. Everything was quick! My boyfriend asked for his steak to be medium, and in the menu itself it mentions something along the lines of «hints of pink, no traces of red». His steak did look like it had red, and a lot of it, but he still ate it. My pasta was good, and I believe everyone else was satisfied with their food. The serving of fries with their sandwiches was a little small, and their broccoli was pretty salty, but for the most part, it was good. Presentation of food isn’t their strong suit. Since you don’t have to wait for the bill because there is a machine on the table where you can slide your card to pay, it wasn’t much of a hassle. The only thing was that we waited almost 10 minutes after paying for the waitress to bring out the birthday treat. At first, we honestly thought she forgot. Glad she didn’t! After singing, we were finished. All we had to do was eat the ice cream – which was delicious! I don’t remember the last time I’ve been here, and I don’t know when the next time I’ll visit will be. Until next time, Chili’s.
